Rawling too was looking over Ku's buggy and was shaking his head about the damage. It was done for. But no doubt the Marauders might salvage it. Rawling did have to agree with the mountain passage. "I'm for the mountains. Its faster that way anyway isn't it?"

Leo scrunched up his face, trying to work with his mental map. If we go through the mountains we have to scale to the point of entry, but going below ground. . . A shiver ran through him and he dropped the thought completely. " Well through the mountains it is then." He said with an audible shake in his voice. Precursors Leo! What kind of artifact hunter are you! He scolded himself, trying to clear away his fears.
" Should we leave off?" He asked the party of people, shoving both hands in his pockets and awaiting an answer.

Ku looked back and his now ruined buggy, sighing. He said,"Only if our generous friend who helped us can give me a lift in his buggy.I'm Ku by the way." He made a small bow to Rawling.

Rawling shrugged a his shoulders a bit. "I have no problem with giving anyone a ride. The names Rawling." Ku... Ku.. sounded familiar but he didn't put his finger on how. "Just point the way and I'll be on that trail."
Rawling hopped back into the Screamer and flipped a music player. An Irish tune played from its speakers under the seats. He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel as the started the vehicle. The engine rumple its sweet tune of combustion. "Well what are we waiting for a dust storm? Let's get going!"

Ku smiled to himself and jumped into the Screamer, riding shotgun. He drummed his fingers lightly on his lap, listening to the Irish tune along with Rawling. Ku looked at the man and he seemed very familiar to him...from somewhere. He shook the thought out of his head and looked around the horizon of the desert. Ku said,"We should be going soon, the sun seems to be rising quicker then I guessed. I'd rather not caught out here during the day."

Shinrah snorted. Yeah, being out in the Waste at night was a bad idea. Well, unless they were at the temple. They could easily survive the night there. She took one last look att hje buggy, trying to see if there was anything that could be salvaged. Nope. It was a smoking heap of metal that was probably worth more as scrap than anything else. In fact, Audra would probably love to pull the thing apart. Shinrah had only met the Mechanic once or twice, but she knew her from listeing to Mykah talk.
"Ok guys. If everyones got a ride then we need to get going. Marauders don't take all that long to get reinforcements and I don't want to be here when they come. I'd prefer to be in one piece at the end of the day." She went over to where Leo was, looking at him carefully. He thought the mountain pass would be better, but she had a bad feelingt hat there would be something unpleasant waiting there for them. If only she could turn that feeling into something useful than just a feeling.
"Throught the ,mountains it is guys. Lets go." She said to them, turning back toLeo once more.
"You ready?"

Zeema hanged there, his foot caught. He looked up as the sun was going down. “Wonderful, night time is coming and not a soul in sight.” He sighed. Figures this would happen to him, he always ended up missing for a day or two, the other monks wont bother looking for him because he always ends up back. However, what if this time he didn't get down? What if this time no one came and he was stuck there all alone for a whole month? His mind started racing, he let out a scream of terror and tried to fidget with his shoe, trying to get out.
His goggles started to loosen without him knowing, one final tug at his foot and the goggles dropped off his face and fell down the cliff to the ground. Zeema then let his abdomens relax, hanging there again. “No use...” He sighed once more. The wind blew in his face sand as well. He closed his eyes so he wouldn't go blind by the sand. Zeema yawned, he was getting tired and dehydrated, the desert was a cruel place in fact.
For the first time he was hoping to see his Monk brothers, hell he hoped to see them. The temple was a place they would visit a lot...but something gave him the vibe not this week. He opened his eyes shielding them with his hands while trying to look out to see any vehicle, anyone. “I really need an artifact partner...” He admitted.

Leo shifted his feet in the sand, he could already feel the air around him warming up. If they didn't make it through the mountains and at least to the beach by noon they would have to find somewhere to shelter. Leo shook his head, turning around and taking slow steps towards the buggy. The sensation of sand beneath his feet felt so failure yet so foreign. With each step he felt as if he was sinking and he had to stop himself a few times so he didn't have a repeat fall. With a last step he banged into the side of the buggy, producing a yelp. " Well hello." He said scrunching up his face and patting the protective bar. With a huff he climbed into the buggy and took a moment to rub his leg.
A lot has changed since I was last here. He thought to himself, his hand making a circular rounds on his knee. " Ya I'm ready to go when you are Shin." Leo shouted, turning his head around to meet up the woman's inquisitive voice. As she climbed into the buggy he couldn't help but turn and laugh at himself. " I obviously need to get my desert-legs back, I've been away from here for too long. " What had started out as a joke floated back to nostalgia and his smile dissipated as he went back to remembering all his reckless adventures .

His smile was so warm and genuine that she couldn't help but smile back even if he couldn't see. Leo was such a fun person to be around, so predicatable yet so very unpredictable. She kind of wanted to just....leave the others behind. Of course there was Leo's warning that they needed many others to go on this little trip, so she didn't. Even if she was that reckless she still wondered if he was. He seemed to be all about this though, so she guessed he was definitely reckless, more so than he ever showed. This just pushed her to go further in this little adventure.
Shinrah had to think for a moment about what they were doing. If they didn’t get close to the island chain soon they’d have to set up a camp, and that was just asking for trouble. Marauders would be out looking for them. She cranked the radio a bit and revved the engine, then let the brake slid. They sped forward, on the move once more. It was such a good feeling to be back in the wind, racing along. Exciting as it was she wanted to at least make sure the others were okay. Damn, when did I get so….soft. She grumbled to herself inside. Everything would be great if she could go back to not caring.
“I don’t know if we’ll make the islands intime!” she yelled over the roar of the engines.

Rawling punched the gas and that sweet engine roared like a beast as the back wheels kicked up sand. They were moving fast through the barren sands and the warm air never felt better. "Its good to have a little company on this ride!" Rawling shouted over the noise of the Screamer. "Any idea what there plans are for this expedition!?" He asked Ku.
