The air was chiill and bitter. It had a bite to it in the early morning. Neko pulled her non existant jacked tighter. She zoomed aroun the streets on her jetboard, trying to get to haven square. She ws going to the library, where she now worked when she wasn't working for Evey at the bar. She turned a corner, splashing up drops of water from a puddle. She gripped hr staff tighter, the blue white magelight swaying on the end. It was very easy to make, and easy to control. She smiled at the thought. She moved faster, not wanting to be late. It would do her no good. She stopped in fromt of the massive library doors. Thier intricately carved patterns intrigued her. She smiled, picking up her jetboard and putting it away. She opened the doors a crack, enough so that she could slip inside without making too much noise. The smell of old parchment hit her. She swiveled her ears, taking in the scent. And she was gone, someplace else. It was warm, a small room lit by magelight similar to hers. Her mother smiled at her as she read from a thick book of herbs. She wanted her daughter to remember them. There was a small fire in the hearth, cheeriky eating the blackened wood. She could smell the heavy herb scent, and the parchment smell from all of her mothers books. Then she was back. Back to the present, away from her memories. It was better to forget them. She shook her head, trying to clear her mind. She looked around, seeing the hundreds of books that were here. She could feel her hiding tattoos spinning faster and faster as the lingering memory faded. I am very grateful there is no dark eco around here, otherwise I would be screwed. She took one step forward, hearing the soft sound of her fot hitting the polished marble. She lifted her staff higher, the magelight growing dimmer as she fed less eco to it. It was a trick hr mother and father had taught her, to create magelights with eco. She touched the ball, taking in the slight thin shield of dark eco she used to keep the blue eco inside. The chain she had it attached to hung limp as if a great wieght had been taken off it. She grapped the end, wrapping it around the staff and clipping it in place. The chain fit perfectly into the groove that was there, making it blend with the rest of the metal and wood. She went up to the fromt desk, reaching out her mind to see what kind of people were here. She could feel a few random people here, busy with everyday research. She tripped over the floor when she felt on of the minds nearest to her. It was an overwhelming power that made her stagger and choke. Her green eco longed to reach out and touch the presence, but she tied it to the corner of her mind. The person, soaked in green eco, had a light aura of happiness and peace. A shadow lingered under the top, but she retreated into the sanctitiy of her own mind. She didn't pry into other peoples buissness. She stood for a moment, trying to regain her breath. She could still feel the green eco, reaching out to her, It hovered in the air, tinging it green in her second sight. Taking a deep breath, she moved forward. She smiled a little, trying to concentrate on the mundane part of her mind. " Hello?" She called. " Is anyone here?"

Hearing someone ask if anyone was here, Kelinna peeked her head out from the back room. Her green hair bouncing around her as she walked out to great the woman "hello! Is there something I can help you with." Tilting her head to the side she took in the strangers appearance, her green eyes glowing slightly she smiled brightly a light giggle escaping her lips. "You wouldn't happen to be the new help by chance?" Placing a few small books on the top of the desk Kelinna closed her eyes briefly as her eco reached out and touched the girl. Quickly pulling the wayward strand back, "I'm Kelinna and it is nice to meet you..."

Neko smiled and reached out her hand, feeling the green eco come towards her. " By some chance I am the new help. My name is Neko Vallon. Its nice to meet you Kelinna." She smiled, shaking the womans hand. " I love this library. Its beautiful. Its reminds me so much of.." Home. She smiled, hoping it would cover her nervousness. She was always nervous nowadays, seeing as she was having more and more memory visions at the most terrible times. " So, what will I be doing here?" She asked.

Smiling sweetly at Neko, Kelinna could sense her nervousness. "Its alright...You don't have to be nervous here Ms.Neko, and the only thing really to be done around here is check in and out books, place them back on the shelves. Then come closing time we sweep the floors and clean the tables...Basicly a pretty easy going routine."
Coming from around the desk, Kelinna looked up at the slightly taller woman "if you want I can give you a quick tour."

Neko nodded, surprised that her nervous ness what showing enough that someone other than Eves could tell. " Please, just call me Neko." She followed the green haired woman, marveling at the number of books here. " I love it here. Its so quiet, and . . . " She smiled. It was perfect, better than anything else she could wish for. She took a few deep breaths in, trying to dispell the lingering nervousness. It would do her only ill here. The only bad thing about libraries is the people. She laughed a little, a small sound. I better work on my people skills. I forgot how much I dislike dealing with people. She remembered once when she got mad at someone in the bar. Eves just loved that one. She looked at Kelinna, feeling a happiness swirl off of her. I wonder whats up with her? I can feel how happy she is, but what is that darkness. Its like shes trying to hide from it or something. She shook her head, remembering her own rules about reading people. Don't do it. She scolded herself for breaking her own rules. It was a constant battle between what she knew she was supposed to do, and what her mind wanted to do.

"And peaceful..." Nodding her head Kelinna grabbed a few books. "Well this is the first floor...Pretty basic really over in the corner is a small children's section, every Friday is storytelling. The kids come in and pick a book for me...Well now us to read to them." Giggling softly Kelinna was sure the children would love Neko when they got to meet her Friday.
Smiling she then started heading toward the spiraling staircase, pointing up wards. "The second floor has all the historical books and what not...though the third floor is always kept locked, due to the importance of what is kept there." Shuffling the books around in her arms Kelinna looked over at Neko, "any questions?"

Neko smiled " Whats on the third floor?" It almost made her laugh to ask the question. It was funny, because it was obviosly a forbidded place. She digested the information. Storytime on fridays., first floor for the kiddies, second for the the history, and third for the mysterios whatevers. " I think I've got it."

Smiling, Kelinna knew she would ask about the third floor due to asking the same question herself. "Priceless books, ones donated by the people of Haven City...Acient scrolls describing the history of the planet, various tombs with secrets that only the precursors can read themselves. Though often scholars will come by and attempt to break the code..." Nodding her head Kelinna handed Neko the books that were in her arms, her green eyes glittering "now then...Lets get to work shall we?" Laughing playfully she started up the staircase, "I need to straighten up the second floor...Will you be alright by yourself for a bit? If you need anything just holler for me."

Starus walked in out of uniform today. Wearing demin pants and a blue button shirt. With him was his oldest child Luther who seemed unhappy to be at the library. "Dad why do we have to be here? I've learned everything I need to know in training."
Starus shook his head, "How many time do I have to tell you son? In order to predict the future you must first learn from the past. Now let us find the librarian to help us find the history books."
Luther sigh heavily, "Ah fine. Whatever."
"Hello? Anyone here?" Starus ask with a slightly raised voice.
