Training Days (The EPIC RP)

Seeing the sudden wave of green eco shoot out around them made Etrius's grin widen. "Oh I was just thinking that you should do some more ground pounding." Looking around he decided to position himself were the enemy was the fewest.
"All I need you to do is that thing you just did one more time. Knock them off their feet. Then I want you to start running for the oasis. I'll clear a path for you so stay behind me. After that I'll stay and distract them. Once you've made it over the hill I'll catch up to you."
Stretching his arms and back Etrius put away his long sword, leaving him with just his short one. Reading the blade his grin faded, leaving behind the hard face of a warrior. Pulling up the bandanna around his face he eyed the first marrauder that was just getting back to his feet.
"Ready Kelinna? You start this....oh, and do you think you could grab our stuff, we're still going to need that."

Nodding her head Kelinna focused on her eco and channeled it through the staff, slamming the bottem of the staff against the dessert ground she smiled as the mauraders where once again knocked off their feet. Making a quick run to their tent Kelinna grabed their bags quickly, shoving the blanket into Etrius's bag. Seeing a man head toward her Kelinna swung her staff around her like a baseball bat effecitvily hitting the man on the head.
Making sure the bags where closed securly Kelinna started running, a small green shield surrounding her as she dodged some of the men around their make shift camp.

The wave of green eco few out once more, sending marauders tumbling to the ground. Then a second later the shield fell. In a heart beat Etrius jump into the air coming down on the marauder that had been closest to them.
Etrius landed a knee into the marauders stomach causing him to curl up as the sound of snapping ribs filled the air.
Not loosing a beat Etrius sprang up and ran trying to clear a path for Kelinna. A second marauder had already managed to regain his feet as well as draw a large cutlass. Running straight for the man Etrius came to a sliding stop just as the marauder brought his blade around to strike. Raising his short sword Etrius deflected the attack, knocking back the marauders' blade. Then with a flurish, Etrius brought his own sword down on the marauder's foot. With a yell the man leaned over in pain, just to find Etrius bringing the sword back up, its pommel striking the mans chin with sickening crunch. Then as the man's head snapped up from the impact Etrius brought his blade to the man's throat dropping the man where he stood, blood draining down the man's throat from a severed artery.
Turning around Etrius readied himself for the other marauder as Kelinna ran past. Several of the men had drawn swords or clubs while a three had draw large rifles all aimed for him.
With a grin blue eco, began to run through Etrius's veins, down into his legs. Then with a burst of speed Etrius launched himself at the other remaining men, his blade giving a metallic whistle as it cut through the air.

As Kelinna neared the hill she could hear screaming come from where Etrius had stayed behind, hoping that none of the screams where his she kept a shield around her not knowing if any of the maunders had followed her.
Sliding down the sandy hill Kelinna rested at the base, taking in deep breaths of air as she tried to calm down from her run. Lowering her shield Kelinna began to walk at toward the oasis wondering if they would run into any more trouble like this.

Running full blue eco enhanced speed at one of the marauders Etrius brought his sword up ready to strike. As he did the marauder brought his rifle up.
Seeing the gun sight in on him Etrius fell into a slide as the rifle fired, the muzzle flash illuminating the area for a fraction of a second. Like an angry hornet the first bullet flew by with a buzz as sand kicked up around Etrius. The marauder fired again as Etrius's slide slowed, grazing his shoulder. Grabbing the bold of the rifle the man reloaded and brought the gun back to fire at Etrius. The marauders target was too close though.
Digging his forward foot into the sand Etrius let his momentum pick his body off the ground and right into the marauder. As he came up Etrius slammed his shoulder under the rifle so it couldn't be aimed while thrusting his blade into the mans chest.
The man fell to the ground grasping his chest as a gurgling sound came from his throat. Pulling the blade from the man's chest Etrius looked around. The other seven marauders were closing in on him but he saw no sign of Kelinna. "Well I guess its time for me to go."
With that Etrius nodded his head, relaxing his whole body. Closing his eyes Etrius let a few words escape his lips, "I am the light in the dark."
With that there was a blinding white flash as Etrius entered his light form. The suddenly illumination caused the marauders to stumble back, covering there eyes to the intense light from Etrius's sudden change in form.
With the distraction set Etrius changed back to normal but kept his light eco active. Mixing it with his blue he turned around took a running step and seemed to vanish, then reappear about fifty yards away. The mixture of his blue eco and a slight time freeze from the light eco making it seem as if he had teleported from where he stood to his new location.
He did this one more time until he was almost to the top of the dune that Kelinna had gone over. Releasing his control over the eco, Etrius continued to walk up the hill, returning his sword to is scabbard. "That didn't go that bad...."
A sudden rumble filled the air behind him. Turning around Etrius saw several large vehicles plow over a distant dune and down its side gunning it straight for him. "You have to be kidding me."
Running up the rest of the dune Etrius jumped over the peek and began running down the hill. Seeing Kelinna walking he began waving his arms, yelling, "RUN DON'T WALK RRRRRUUUUNNNN!!!!"
As the words escaped his mouth a sudden roar filled the air and a section of the dune blew off as several large vehicles came crashing over the top in a cloud of sand.

Hearing Etrius yelling, Kelinna turned around happy he had made it out alive only to look behind her in fear. Screaming out in fear and surprise she started running a shield forming around her all the while trying to think of things she had done to deserve this. Kelinna could feel her feet sinking into the sand as she ran, falling to the ground from this she struggled to pull her foot out. Quickly dismissing the shield Kelinna focused her eco to her feet using the eco to act as a snow-shoes, standing up shaking slightly she resumed her running. Not knowing how many there was she could hear the vehicle's motors roaring loudly though the dessert.

Four large dune buggies rushed down behind Etrius, each throwing up a fountain of sand behind there turning wheals. "This is not my day," Etrius said to himself as one of the buggies opened up with twin machine guns, creating fountains of sand on either side of Etrius as he ran.
Stumbling from surprise at the sudden gun fire Etrius hit the ground and rolled, then popped back up and kept going. Looking over his shoulder he could see the dune buggies were almost on him. Reaching the bottom of the dune Etrius turned right and ran. Two of the buggies slide to the bottom of the dune before they could turn. Then with a mountain of sand thrown up behind them they took off after Etrius, the other two going after Kelinna.
Making a wide ark Etrius began making his way back to Kelinna hopefully before the buggies reached her....or him.

Feeling burst after burst of eco flair-ups Karras stops on top of a dune and turns around to see what he could of the commotion, "Interesting, so there's an eco user back there. The first few flairs felt like green eco, then the next was blue. But what was that last one? I'm not familiar with it. It kind of felt clam, yet still powerful. Either I'm feeling the power of a very strong individual, or there are multiple people over there... I can't tell from here, all the eco is coming from the same location... If it is one person I'm going to have to find him to spar with, I could use a good battle." Karras says to himself, a smile appearing on his face at the though of a good battle with a strong opponent.

Suddenly the top of a dune in front of him lights up from an explosion, the silhouette of two small figures visible in the light just before several verticals ramp off the top of the dune, "Well, it looks like there were multiple people, and it seems that they've managed to piss off the marauders. That was a mistake. You don't piss off the marauders when they have vehicles." Karras continues talking to himself, shaking his head in disappointment as his hopes for a good opponent diminish.

Pushing herself faster Kelinna could hear the vehicles get closer to her, screaming again in fear as the guns started to fire at her she summoned a wall of eco between her and the dune buggy continued to fire at her. "Come on girlie we could have a fun time!" The driver yelled at her laughing, strongly disliking his words Kelinna placed a very large and very strong wall of green eco in front of his buggy.
Trying not to smirk has it crash into the green wall she continued her running, seeing another buggy come up behind her Kelinna went to bring up a shield only to be to late as the back seat passenger grabbed her arm and hair, letting out scream of pain as she was forced into the car. "Never seen one with green hair have we boys" each one in the car answered no "oh the boss will deffently like you sweetie, you might even fetch a nice bonus for us!" The men laughing at the thought of more money only angered Kelinna more.
Swinging her staff around her wildly Kelinna could hear several of the men curse as it made contact with them, focusing on the man holding her down Kelinna quickly tapped into her eco shoving a wave of eco in his direction. T
he man being pushed back from the force Kelinna took this time to jump out of the buggy using her eco to cushion the landing, scrambling back to her feet Kelinna ran faster she could make out a figure in front of her, watching Etrius and her struggle with the marauders.

As Etrius ran he saw Kelinna form the wall of eco in front of the first buggy causing its instant demise. The spark of imagination suddenly sprung alive in Etrius's mind as he ran.
Sliding to a stop the turned and faced the oncoming buggies. Calming his nerve he lowered his center of gravity, placing himself low to the ground. Closing his eyes he once more entered a calm peaceful state then as before a bright light enveloped him but this time it formed a dome.
The drivers of the buggies were blinded as the sudden light flared up in front of them. One of the buggies swerved away but the other kept coming until it was right on top of Etrius before the driver tried to turn. The buggy's wheel hit the shield and bounced of, causing the axial too break while sending the buggy flipping across the sand. Lowering the shield Etrius began to walk to the crashed vehicle as a passenger crawled out. Stopping he starred at the marauder surprised that anyone was well enough to crawl out of the wrecked vehicle.
Slowly the man got to his feet and looked up at Etrius. With a sinister grin the man pulled out a pistol and took aim at Etrius.
In a second Etrius had combined the blue and light eco once more resulting in the man firing at empty air. Then with a yell of pain the man found a blade in his back.
With a yell Etrius drew out his second sword as the man tried to reach back. Lifting himself up with the sword that was already in the man's back Etrius brought the tip of the second blade down through the man's shoulder and to his heart. The man coughed up blood then went limp, falling to the ground.
Pulling blades out Etrius looked around and saw the second buggy come around as well as Kelinna escaping from her own predicament.
"Ok I think its about time to end this."
