The man held the eco, not knowing for how much longer he could.


" Fireworks are bright flashes of color in the sky. They are supposed to be beautiful, but are dangerous. " He closed his eyes, thinking when the last time he had seen fireworks was. A long, long time ago. He had been a young boy then, and he was at the Spargus arena. His father had been alive then, and had been teaching him about artifacts.

Jaythen brought his mind back to the present. It would do no good now to dwell on the past. He had to keep hmself alive, and the young woman beside him.

" How long do you think it wil take them to break through these shields Miss?" He asked politely, sweat beading on his forehead as he concentrated on keeping the shield bright on only one siide. He was worried that they would break through and that would be the end of things.

Mick had shot Jaythen not in any vital areas but enough that he knew it would bring him down to the ground. His bright blue eyes were dull as he watched blood pool around the man as well as the small child try to scamper away. She was so small so thin, it sickened him as he thought that is might as well be his little sister scampering through the halls trying to get free.

"Nice shot Micky boy! Your getting better with that gun every time I see you. Now hustle, we gotta block the exits so when they run outta eco we can swoop in and get 'em." A femilure voice greeted Mick's ears along with a ferm grip on his shoulder. As his eyes caught a glimse of the mans face they lit up.

"Thank you, Commander Charter, sir. " Nodding Mick picked up his pace and created a perimeter around the small group of people, his gun was aimed at the eco shield that the girl had created and he shot, waiting for the inevitable. But suddenly his eyes caught a glimse of a blinding light.

"Gahh." He growled ceasing fire and holding his hand over his eyes. " What's going on?"

About to reply to Jaythen when her words where cut off the by the sound of a gun firing, the eco shield crumbling around them as she fell to floor a quick flash of surprise and pain reflecting in her eyes as she was hit by the bullet.

Green eyes glowed brightly before they quickly dimmed and started glazing over as she slowly began to loose conscious as tears rolled down her cheeks, hitting the ground roughly Kelinna clutched at her left side blood quickly flowing from the fresh wound brought on by the KG.

Gasping for air, she curled up into a small ball; green eco crackling around her responding to it's keepers anguish. Crying softly Kelinna tried to focus on the wound like she was told to do when the doctors worked on her; the eco around her calmed and disappeared as the girl willed it back to her body.

Clutching tighter to her side the green haired maiden rocked slightly on the floor trying to keep awake as the power with in her slowly healed her injured body.

The eco shield fell, and Jaythen didn't know what to do. His eco wasn't storng enough to form a real shield. Or maybe it was and he didn't know how to control it. Then the girl cried out. He looked at her, seeing the bullet wound. Anger flared inside him, spiraling all his eco in one place. Somehow he could ignore the pain in himself. Others were in pain.

" Its okay, hold on." He stood, ignoring the blood on him completely. The eco inside him forced him into movement. He bent over to pick the girl up. He was going to have to go fast. The kg would close in before he could do anything. He didn't want the supressors in him. Not when he felt so alive.
