Nightime Visitor

"Crystal." Leo said a large spark of blue eco speeding up the length of his arm, echoing his frustration. Clenching the desk for a moment he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Nodding a bit to himself he closed the small machine and slipped it back to where it once was.

The sun was climbing up the sky, silhouetting the palace. The scene could be picked out from the window that was set in front of the desk. “Its going to be tricky to go down there. The oceans very stormy this time of year.” Leo said thinking about the long days he spent staring across the islands.

Glass shattered as Rawling came crashing through the window falling on his back behind Leo. Glass fel off of him as he sat up holding his head. He quickly noticed two strangers, "Excuse me for the intrusion."

A roar cam from a roof top across the way. Rawling saw the hulking mass that through him through the window. "Oh shit.! If you guys had any sense you'd get the hell out of here!" Without hesitation Rawling ran out of the room to find the exit. and sure enough he did and ran out of the house frantically.

Leo turned and gasped as he made out the glowing blue silhouette of a man in the darkness of his vision. He stared in disbelief as the man spoke and then ran out of the door, his feet creating faint glowing footprints. Opening his mouth to speak he suddenly stopped as he noted what had chased the man into his room. He could hear what seemed to be the beating of wings. “Grab the books and run, get yourself out of here.” Leo said a spark of blue eco traveling up his arm.

Grabbing his electronic note book, his jacket, and his staff he looked at the ground he could still see the strange mans foot prints. He sped after them knowing his house and not needing to use his staff to walk. Quickly he stopped at the door, feeling around and finding it already open.

As he walked outside he saw the man, his outline a pale blue, but still visable. “Umm sir?” Leo asked approaching him. This was all so strange, he could vaguely see, even if it was this one man. Is it a sign?

Shinrah ran over to her bag, taking Kaythens notebook with her. She grabbed the armor, and as many of Leo books as she could carry, including the one with the ancient precursor in it. She would need that to translate anyu futre notes of Jaythens.

She jumped out behind leo, taking a ready stance. She pulled her b;aster rifle out, getting ready for anything. It was unexpected that someone would disturb them, but Shinrah was used to the unexpected.

" No clue whats going on, but we have to be careful. I know there are alot of smalltime assasins and people in the slums. They know to keep clear of me, but they might act stupid." She gave an evil smile. " Someone might even end up dead."

Rawling stopped instantly. "Yes yes, make it quick. That thing can find anyone in a hurry!"

Khaloron soon followed Rawling by almost tearing down the wall. "Where are you, you little RAT!!!" His cloak was gone. His only disguise in the city. Rawling mistaked it for someone elses and gave it away.

He didn't even bother using door. He barreled through the walls until he was outside. To his right was Rawling and couple others! With a fierce roar he started running at the three, his footstep left markings in the concrete.

Leo stood there and as he was about to speak he heard the loud roar echoed through the slums. The sound made him move his hands quickly to his tattered ears. He stood there frozen a bright arch of eco flowing up his arm as the sound brought back horrid memories. His vision was overcome by images of blood, the roars of metal heads, and the sound of his own screams.

Leo held on to his staff unable to press the button. He knew that he wouldn’t be able to move fast enough through the streets without his sight. “R-Run I’ll follow” He mumbled softly his hands clenched onto his belongings. If I follow him. . . then maybe I can make it. Looking forward at the faint blue outline of the man he waited for him to move.

Shinrah looked around, hearing the crashes. She could hear the hesitation in Leo voice. She cocked her head to one side, sighing.

" Hey, come on! We gotta go !" She grabbed his hand, the staff in his other hand waving wildly. She rushed thought the building, making sure not to run into anything.

" We got a problem, buddies!" She was having a hard time draggin Leo, and the books.

" I have to drop the armor!" She pulled it out of the bag, throwing it aside.

Kait couldn't wait any longer, and it was just beginning to get light. She had to talk to Leo; she was on the verge of a mechanical breakthrough, and she needed his expertise on a piece of precursor metal she was planning to use. She'd walked to his house with the piece of metal in her pack, ready to ask away, regardless of whether he was awake or not.

Her hand was poised an inch from knocking on the door when a mass of yelling and running people flowed past her to her left, fluffing her hair away from her face with the wind from their passing. Rawling and Shinrah were two of the people being chased by what appeared to be a huge beast, of a kind that she'd never seen before. Leo was following a little staggeringly, and Shinrah was in the process of throwing away a bag which she yelled was full of armor.

Well, Leo's definitely awake then. And hello again, Rawling old pal.

Kait snickered to herself and quickly stashed her bag behind one of Leo's bushed, and joined in the chase. She pulled out her pistol just in case, and ran with it held in both hands. It was unclear to her just why the big beast was following Shinrah, Leo, and Rawling, though it seemed to be focused on mainly Rawling. Kait ran up beside Shinrah and held out her hands, holding her pistol in only one hand for the moment.

I'll take some of those! You can't carry them all, and you'll be more able to fight or run with a little more space in your arms.

Kait spared only a glance backwards at the monster pursuing Rawling, still puzzled with the situation, but not wanting to abandon a group of old friends who obviously needed help.

Rawling started to run away. usually he stead a good chance against a Hora'quan, but this thing was so strong and dense that magnetism, yes, did push it away but not very far. Electric properties seemed to only tingle this thing. It was a juggernaut! An unstoppable force that was to be reckoned with.

Khaloron saw that Rawling was running away. He didn't like this what so ever. He focused red eco into his legs and propelled himself with extremely powerful pushes taking large steps that shook the very ground.

"MOVE!!" He shouted swinging his massive back hand at Kait and Shinrah.

Kait ducked just as the beast's hand swung over her head. It would surely have hit her had she not moved in time. Kait could definitely see that the monster was after Rawling, though she could not think of anything that Rawling could have done to anger this thing that much. Kait yelled after Rawling.

What did you do? Did you steal something or kill someone? And how do we get away from this thing?
