Shinrah flipped throught the pages. The parchment gave a dry rustle, the pages smooth and cool. There was writing all over, small and perfect. She looked throught the pages, trying to look quickly but to interested to go faster than she was.

" Here." She said. There were pictures of poer cells all over the page, cramped writing beside them. She ran her fingers over the page appriciatively. It reminded her of the book she had at home, with all of Jaythens notes in them.

" There are power cells all over this page. And a ton of the ones after it." She added, flipping though a few more of the pages. The drawing were so different, but so similar to the ones that Jaythen had done. Some of the concepts looked so similar, but so different.

" So, What now?" She asked Leo.

Leo put his hand on the map he had in front of him. It had foreign looking land and villages that had become lost to the sands of time. "If you were making a door." Leo started as he shuffled through some more papers grabbing yet another map, keeping this one enclosed in his fist. "Where would you put it?" He asked sliding the map close to Shinrah.

"Where there is a key there is usually a door it goes in."Leo said waiting patiently for the woman to lay her hand on the map and point to where she thought it would go.

Shinrah thought for a oment, looking at the old map.
' Well, if I were making a key that looked like a power cell I would make the door in the Temple. Ya know?" She shook her head, knowing it was a thin thoght.

Jaythen had once mentioned his father had taken him to the temple when he lived in Spargus. She moved her hand over the cool paper, placing it on the mark that represented the Temple.

" Jaythen told me he had once gone to the temple. Maybe..." She didn't finish the thought. She looked at the replica power cell, and to the armor she had brought Lying forgotten in the corner. She shook, energy rippling down her body.

A few years prior to the present:

Kait had been wandering through the Baron's prisons with a few of her "friends," gawking at the prisoners, when she came across a rather special prisoner. Strung up by his ankles, and kept in a heavy-duty bullet proof cell, was a man.

She read the plaque outside his cell. It said, "Jaythen K. Experimental Unit 4: Blue Eco."

Kait looked at him, hanging there, torn by the experiments the KG had done on him, and wondering what he had done to deserve punishment this harsh.

Present time:

Kait had been keeping intermittent tabs on Jaythen since his escape from prison. He'd been searching the city for people he knew, and Kait had followed him every step of the way, learning about his life at the same time. She was interested in what the Baron had done to him, and liked having something to do on off weekends.

Kait had recently checked on him, only a few days before, though nothing seemed to have happened since the last time she saw him. Kait was now waiting until morning so that she could head for Leo Charter's house with an artifact in tow for him to look at for her. She hadn't been able to sleep, so she sat working on a large chunk of metal and wires she was trying to make into a power storage device.

She sighed, giving up, again. She would just have to wait until morning, when she could find Leo, and ask his advice.

Leo nodded when she talked about a temple in the desert and then he pulled the map away and put the one in his hand on the table. “If it’s in the desert then this the wrong map.” He mumbled to himself as he rubbed his hand over the crinkled edges of the map. “I only know of the old temple that the monks use. I’m sure that they wouldn’t want outsiders sneaking around there sacred land.”

He tried to remember the last time he had been out there. Old broken archways and rigged traps. The architecture was beautiful and there were a multiple number of carved depictions of Metal heads. Leo shook his head and then felt around trying to find the stool so he could sit down.

Shinrah nodded. She had never been out to the old temple. It scare her too much. She shook her head. At least I know that Jaythen went there once. He was always talking about going there and taking notes about all the artifacts there.

She sighed.
" I don't know. There is a way we could sneak there." She wondered if she should tell him about Jaythens notes. It was something she treasured, and she had never told anyone about it.

Walking across the room, Shinrah picked up her bag. She pulled out a small leather boud book. It was old, the cover worn and faded. She almost stuffed it back in the bag, but decided not to.

Shinrah went back over to the desk and flpped to a page in the book. There was a map of the underground part of the temple there, carefully drawn in bright colors.

" He always told me there was a tunnel under the temple. I never went out there because I had a hard time getting across the desert." She ran her hand across the page.

Did you really find something out there? I guess I may never know.

Leo scratched his head his hair getting all into his face. His eyes lit up when she started talking about a underground tunnel. I found traces of a entryway. . . but never traces of a entrance.” At that moment he wished that he could see again just to read over these notes. All the knowledge that I can’t learn. A shiver of blue eco went down his arm and sparked to one of the pens in the pencil holder on the desk.

“Does he say where and when? The entrance could be covered by sand since he last found it.”

Shinrah nodded.
"The entrance is by the sea, far from the actual temple. He says someone dug it after the temple was built, but that it was carved well." She wondered what condition it would be in now if it was ok at all.

She turned the page, directions writtien in precursor Shinrah couldn't read. She gave a frustrated sigh. She should learn, try to match it up by what matched the precursor used now.

" I can't read the notes he left about the tunnel." She said in a slow whisper. She had never asked for help before, but thought maybe she should now. It tore her, this one night going against her whole life.

Leo sighed upon hearing that the girl could not read anchent precursor text. "Don't fret as long as it shows where it is about we can get to it. I might be able to get out a translation sheet for you if you can read it off to me wile I retake the notes." He shuffled around and then pointed to a book pearched atop of a chest on the side of his desk. "If you would look through, I beleve it's the book with the tattered blue binding. It has a chart that may help you, I used it alot when I was first learning."

Quickly Leo reached into a drawer and grabbed what looked to be a compact laptop. Opening it he traced his hands over the keys and set it up so that it was ready to record. "After you translate the basic notes please tell me so that I can record them for future rescerch."

Shinrah grabbe the book, the bindings worn smooth. She flicked it open, looking for the page she needed. There was one, old precursor script flowing over the page. She matched it up to the script on the page, reading it off slowly

" By the sea is the string of islands leading to the temple. The third island has a hole in the side. That is the entrance to the tunnel. Follow it and it will lead you all the way up to the main temple."

She looked over to Leo.
" Is that clear to you?"
