Darkness at the Ruins

Rawling shrugged to Pyro, "I don't know. Maybe my father passed on and she stayed here for this moment. Kind of like Edo did remember?"

He turned to his mother, "Am I right?" And the spirit nodded to him. But a chill filled his enitre body. "Where's Neko..." He looked around frantically.

He ran to Evey, "Where's Neko!" The cold was getting colder. He rann around the cavern looking for her when he found a hole. It was warm there. Without missing a beat Rawling leaped into the water but it was pitch black. He concentrated eco into his hands and made a bright blue light that spotted her sinking deeper.

He swam like a wild man after her until he was close enough to reach her. she was still concsious...and was smiling? But nevermind that, he reached his hand out so that she could grab his.

[Altairas]

"Rawling? Neko?" Evey yelled as she ran up to the dark pit which Neko and Rawling had dissapeared. She scanned the darkness she felt a overwelming feeling of sadness wash over her. Were they going to come back? Evey asked herself silently as she reached her hand into the hole. She let the flow of eco run through her veins and it filled the cavern with a dim white light. "Rawling!!" She screemed catching glimse of bubbles in the dark water below. She clenched her staff firmly into her other hand as anger weld up inside.

"Who puts a river in the middle of a cavern!!!!" Evey yelled as she pounded the ledge with her glowing fist pebbles fragmenting under her . "That doesn't sound good. . ." She mummbled as the ledge crumbled beneth her, the rocks falling into the dark water. All she could hear was her heart beeting in her chest as she fell into the open void that seperated her from the water . And at the moment she hit the water she remembered that she couldn't swim.

DB watched as pyro went ahead to the bunch that was in the cave, except for pyro and rawling he couldn't quite make out who those other people where. But they were sure to notice him as he glowed. "Is it just me or is this cave strange?" He said obviously, as he listened to the various people.

[Altairas]

Evey took in a huge gulp of air as she tried to remain calm. She was trying to feel for the bank of the pit of water and keep her head above the dark water. Her staff, which was still clamped in her fist, hit ageist the side of the river bank. Evey reached toward the back kicking her legs and arms furiously. She grabbed at the shore her hand in a death grip with the earth.

"You can swim can't you?" She herd Pyro say as she laid her head on her soaked hands trying to catch her breath. “No. . . no I cannot swim. . . I can flail my arms but I don’t think that that constitutes and swimming.” She remarked breathlessly as she looked around to see if she could catch a glimpse of Rawling and Neko.

[Neki]

Neko fell throught the water, ddep dark crushing water. She was still smiling though, not knowing why. It was dark and quiet and the bubbles from her breath floated upwards like crystalline birds. It was like falling into a different world.
She touched the botton. Neko was spread out on the floor as if to make a snow angel. She lay there a moment, the tattooes on her face giving off a soft purpleish glow as they moved. She could see the few on tha back of her hand moving in erratic patterns.
Neko instictively waved her hand as if it were an action she had done a thousand times before. A spot on the floor cleared, leaving a glowing shape in the tiles
Tiles? In an underground river? She thought. She sat up in the water, lloking around, wondering why she wasn't dead. The small shape in the tile matched the patter on the back of her hand. The tattooes on her hands and arms had finally stopped moving.
Neko placed her hand on the tile, feeling ow warm it was. She felt a pull on her hand, as if the eco were being pulled out of her.
Glowing cracks creeped across the floor, spiraling out from her hand. There was a loud pop, and the darkness that covered the tile swirled upwards, away from her. The bottom of the giant pieces swirling glittered like hundreds of diamonds. They fromed a whirlwind of color, like a hundred under3ater butterflies with wings of starlight.
Neko folowed the colorful swarm of creatures to what looked like the stony doors of a temple. Carved into the front seemed to be a small poem of some sort

Two have come
Of the Same Blood
Who can see what is hidden
to other eyes
Another has come
Who is not of the same blood
But is of the same heart
One of heart
and one of blood
are destined to be
forever togethere
in a feeling undying
And the pair
Of speed and strength
Of Red and Blue
Come connected by fate
To this sacred place

She read it, totalling the count of people it spoke of.
Five? Me Rawling, Evey..... umm.... Pyro maybe? She thought who could be blue. She then remebered the blue enrgy she had felt earlier. DB. Thats the last person ! And what is this place anyway. It looks like some kind of old temple. Neko put her hand on the door, pushing it open.
The inside was colored to match the elements. There seemed to be seven sides to the main room, each with a door colored the same as an element. Neko walked straight to the door marked with all the colors. It was warm, and there was a light in the middle.
Lighting a staff. It was a tall staff, made with smooth, black wood that curved upward. There was an orb clutched in the dark wood, clear as glass.
Neko picked it up, marveling at howlight it was. She smiled, and the orb turned a light blue.
Interesting..... She thought as she walked back out into the deep water, knowng why she wasn't dead.

[Altairas]

Evey held onto Pyros body as he left it. "Lets fall into the giant hole Evey, lets go for a nice swim." She said sarcasticly as she held on to the shore. "Wait when was a shore so. . ." Evey felt the edge feeling the percise way it felt under her wet fingertips. "This was carved. . "

[Neki]

Neko walked through the water, over the stpes that had long ago been carved here. She could feel someone nearby, a familiar warm feel.
" Evey? What are you doing down here ?" She asked. It was very dark, but she knew it was Evey, sitting on the old steps of the temple that had long ago been sunk underground.
" Evey, I know this place. Don't ask how. It's an old Temple, proboably from the age of the precursors. It was meant for us, in another lifetim, and now this lifetime. This is the damn prophesy my mother kept going on about, how I would find my fate and all that." She smiled at her friend, holding out her hand.
It was only then that she realized she was floating over the water.

[Altairas]

Evey was extremly confused with the fact at why in the hell Neko was floating. "First Rawling then you. . . Wait where is Rawling?" Evey started to panic a little, Neko had come up she was holding onto Pyro's limp souless body and she couldn't swim. "Damn this couldn't get any. . . better... any better." Evey corrected herself remembering that everytime she said it would get worse it did.

[Altairas]

Evey took the Jet board and smiled trying to remember the last time she had to use one of these things. I think it was back when me and Mick were younger. . . Shakeing her head slightly to get back to the task at hand balanceing. She hopped onto the jetboard and glided majesticly over the water. Smileing tryumphantly she turned to Pyro and Neko. "What temple?"

[Neki]

Neko turned to Pyro.
" Yes there is an entrance right there . . ." She had turned towrds the place where the temple was. " Well, it was right there a moment ago." She turned back. There was a rumbling, and the Temple rose from the water. She smiled as she heard it.
" There it is."
