Dark clouds fill the sky overhead, ominouse and slow. A distant rumble fills the air foreshadowing a coming rain. People walk up and down the streets, passing by stores, all with some kind of product on a tv screen. On the far end of the street a large tv billboard suddenly turns to static, as does the countless other television screens across the city. Then with a crackle the screens change to a dark image of a man, who seemed human yet at the same time wasn't. The man's eyes glowed as if his irisis were on fire and a long slender tail ran from under his coat and down to his feet. And with a grin full of sharp, dagger like teeth, he spoke. " Humans of the world hear me and listen well. Your time has come, your destruction is at hand. I am Mallock the overload of the metalhead army. I am the red dragon of the hora'quan. I will come down on your city and burn it to the ground." The metalhead hybrid spoke forcefully, the intensity of his speech growing with each word. "Know your time has come to an end humans! Quail in fear knowing there is no place for you to run and no place for you to hide. Your walls will fall as if made of sand holding off a raging tide! Your so called Krimson Guards will be swept aside as if nothing more then ants, there blood adding to the streets as they fall." Mallock raised up his arms, holding them out to either side of him, exposing razor shape claws. "This is the beginning of the end! Behold, humans, your extiction is here!" As Mallock said this thousands upon thousands of glowing eyes began to fill the darkness behind him until there was so many glowing eyes it seemed that the darkness behind Mallock had become an inferno. An eerie laugh filled the speakers as Mallock stood, his arms still held out to either side, laughing; his body outline by a fiery halo. Then with a crackle the television screens returned to static then one by one the images of random products began to appear on them.

Rawling was watching his favorite TV program when that broadcast came on the screen. After it was over, he dropped everything and ran out of his house and hurried to Evey and Neko's. He busted through the door.
"You guys home!?"

Starus at this time was training his squad along with some new recruits when he got a call on his radio, "Captain! Turned on your monitor!" So he did and he watched the whole broadcast. HE stopped everything immediately and ordered everyone to hurry and get geared up.
He then called his family,"Hello?"Said his wife as if she was oblivious to the message.
"Aila! Where are you!?" "I'm at home, why?" "Where's Seri!?" "At school where else would she be? Starus what's going on?" "Look! I want you to pick her up right now. Pack lightly, take the car and leave Haven City." "What!? What are you talking about?" "Just do it! There's something about to happen ok. I cant explain it now. Just go as far as you can." "Ok." "And Aila...I love you." "I love you too, honey."
They hung up. And Starus put his game face on and equipped himself for what could possibly the worst event Haven could go through.

Johnny watched the broadcast in the window of an electronics store. The notion of "the extinction of humans" put a grin on his face. "Its agout t'ah'me. I'ah need to meet this fella. He got tha R'aht i'ah'dea"

"I know that's why I'm here. What are we going to do? I don't want you guys to get hurt or anything."
Rawlings ring tone(Psychosocial by Slipknot) loudly went off and gave him a little jump. He quickly looked at the caller ID. "Pyro." He answered it, "Hey dude, did you see that!? Who or what the hell was that!?"

With his legs hanging over the side of the roof of his house, Etrius looked down at the streets as people began to run this way and that. They all seemed to be frantically trying to get to where ever it was they where going. Etrius didn't blame them for being scared, he too had seen the televised announcment, even on the roof. The tv billboard at the end of the street was easy enough to see. Standing up Etrius looked towards the sky as a few drops of rain began to fall. "I wondered when this day would come," he said to himself. Turning Etrius began to walk across the roof, half excited that he would once more have a chance to exact revenge on Sicar. But at the same time he felt the pains of guilt and grief for the lives that would inevitibaly be lost in the coming storm, lives that he would be unable to save. Opening the roof top door to his house Etrius walked to his room and opened his closet. It had almost five months since a metalhead had been seen within the walls of Haven. Reaching into the closet Etrius pulled out two sword, laid them on his bed and continued to pull out his armor that he wore in rougher times. He needed to be prepared for the apparent attack that was sure to come, but when would it come, in a few minutes, a few hours, days, weeks, when? All that could be done was stay prepared and wait for the storm to arrive...
With a low growl Ezekiel continued to watch the television, even after the broadcast had turned off. In it's wake came numerous announcements from the government and from law enforcement telling people to stay calm. He knew that wouldn't happen, human nature was to easy to predict. Ironically such knowledge of human nature came from no longer being human. Ezekiel chuckled to himself at the thought. Standing up, the large half dragon looking creature walked from the room, turning off the tv as he went. Walking down the hall he came to a small room. Looking inside he found a frail, old nun sitting behind a desk that seemed to large for her small person. Knocking on the threshhold of the room, Ezekiel poked his triangular head into the room, his feathery, frill raised in agitation. "Sister Martha, I am going to start sealing up the building." The old nun put down the remote control to the tv. "Yes, do that. Sadly it's the only thing we can do. I'll get the other sister ready for the worst and get the childrn packing up there belongings for travel. If need be we shall leave, it's only a buliding, nothing more; it can be replaced but the children can not." Ezekiel nodded in agreement, then turned and walked out back to the shed. Gathering up supplies he then dawned a large hood to conceil his appearance from other people, for very few knew what he looked like, and made his way to the front of the building. Dropping the wood, spare tin, and other supplies he began to think of how to best protect the Haven City Orphange, his orphange.

Evey smiled as Rawling bursted in. "That was unexpected." Evey said commenting on both the TV program and Rawling. She laying back on the was couch eating some chips from a bowl on the small coffee table. She had her goggles and jacket off and they were placed in the kitchen on one of the chairs."So..." Evey said between crunching. "Dose this mean that we kill metal head scum?" Evey asked looking at Rawling and Neko.

Zrion was jerked awake. He looked around frantically, trying to identify what had awoken him. It was a dark, gloomy day in Haven City. The type of day that always made him feel sleepy. Indeed, he had fallen asleep on his couch, a book on his lap. He identified the noise as his communicator. Groaning, he reached for the device, and clicked in on. He pressed it to his hear. "What is it?" He asked, none too kindly. His annoyance was swept aside as the frantic man on the other end informed him of the situation. He received his orders with an expression of shock and fear on his now pale face. He dropped the communicator back down onto the table.
With the strength of a man who had seen combat dozens, if not hundreds of times, Zrion lept over the couch, and sprinted through the doorway of the room, and down the hallway. He skidded to a halt as he reached the closet door that was his destination. He ripped the door open, revealing his gleaming, black Krimzon Guard special operations armor. He quickly set into the familiar process of donning the armor, starting with the torso, legs, arms, and finally the helmet. He quickly pulled on his armored boots, and his gloves. He looked up on a shelf, just above the armor. On it sat his weapons. His ever-faithful AK-47 assault rifle, and his highly shined, silvery Desert Eagle handgun. He quickly armed himself, and strapped several Fragmentation grenades to his belt. Clutching his rifle like it was his lifeline, Zrion ran down the hallway again, and ripped open the front door of his home.
To put it lightly, it was pure chaos outside. Terrified citizens ran past, trying to accomplish precursors knew what. Krimzon Guards were frantically trying to maintain order, but at the same time prepare themselves and the city for what was to come. Zrion tore his eyes away from the sight, and jogged down the street to the nearby KG fortress, dodging terrified people as he went. The doors opened without complaint as he walked up to the fortress, and entered. It was hardly any better in here than it was outside. Frantic guards were sprinting around, arming themselves with whatever they could find, their superiors barking orders all the while. Zrion forced his way through the crowd. His destination was Barrack RC-13, better known as Special Operations Command. He had little doubt that the entire Special Operations division would be quite occupied in the dreadful battle to come.

Neko grabbed her Katana " I havent used Karem in forever. I want to go kill something. I need a good battle anyway. But I think I need to go rest. I was playing with dark eco, and we all remeber what happened a couple years ago." She shuddered as she remembered the illness that had taken ahold of her.

"Is someone going to get..." Evey cut herself off figuring it would be faster to do it herself. "I got it..." She said jumping over the couch and walking over to the door wiping off the crumbs from her shirt as she approached.
Evey opened the door none to surprised to see Pyro standing outside. "Hey, come on in." She said stepping aside to let Pyro in. What a fun day this is going to turn out to be. She thought with a slight simile.

Zrion continued jogging through the crowd, until he finally reached a huge, armored door, flanked on either side by a black-armored special operations soldier. Above the door, a digital sign spelling with red symbols 'RC-13' was mounted proudly above the door. Zrion extracted his security pass, and swiped it along the scanner on the right hand side. The device chirped in acceptance of his clearance, and the large door slid up. Zrion quickly walked in, and the door quickly slid closed behind him. Special Operations was notorious for zealously guarding their territory, for lack of a better term.
Barrack RC-13 was unique in that it was run, operated, and maintained solely by the special operations division. All in all the division consisted of only 60 men, the best the KG had to offer. They were unique in how they treated each other. Essentially, they thought of themselves as brothers and sisters. Whenever a member of their division was KIA, everyone felt it.
The Barrack itself consisted of a main room, and several smaller rooms that branched off from the main one. The barrack was equipped with living quarters, an armory, a mess hall, the command post, and even a hanger. The main room, which served as the Special Operations command post, was guarded by no less than a dozen black-armored soldiers, each one armed to the teeth with whatever weapon he or she chose to arm themselves with. The black armored soldiers ran around left and right, barking orders and arming themselves for the battle to come. In the center of all the chaos in the massive room, was the Command Post. It was quite a sight to behind, equipped with several radios, several hologram projectors (each showing a map of some sort) a few computer consoles, and the soldiers manning it. In the center of it all, was one of the most respected men in the entire KG military.
Colonel Syron Draheim, was the Commander of the KG Special Operations division. Out of everyone in the division, he was the the division depended on the most. He was an excellent leader, leading the division time and time again from the front line itself and getting them through anything they encountered. The man was obviously stressed, barking orders at whoever got close enough, and trying to maintain order at the same time. He glanced towards Zrion's position, and saw that he was there. The Colonel quickly proceeded to pick up a microphone, and spoke into it.
"All soldiers, this is Colonel Draheim! Everyone has reported in, now report to the CP for mission briefings!" The noise increased tenfold as the soldiers dropped whatever they were doing, and turned their attention to the Colonel. Everyone emerged from the rooms they were in previously, and positioned themselves around the CP.
The Colonel waited for a moment, before the room went deathly quiet, as all eyes went to the Commander. "As you all know by now, Haven City is preparing for what is probably the largest battle that we will ever face. We know nothing of how big a force they will be sending after us, what types of enemy contacts we can expect, or which direction they will be coming from. We only know that we will be heavily outnumbered, probably impossibly outnumbered. In short, we have to be prepared for anything." He paused for a moment, before continuing. "The leaders of this city have decided to take a defensive approach. They have issued a list of priorities to the military."
He cleared his throat, and produced an official-looking document. "Priority one, complete mobilization of all Krimzon Guard Forces. Priority two, relocating all civilians to the residential sector, and completely locking it down. Priority three, minimizing casualties of Combat Personnel wherever possible. Priority four, minimizing property damage. Priority five, establishing defensive positions throughout the city, primarily around chokepoints, buildings of critical importance, and the most defensible positions available."
The Colonel placed the paper on the table. "Our job is to provide emergency support whenever possible. We're going to be on standby, except for a select few soldiers. We're sending out six squads, each one consisting of 4 soldiers. One will be sent to the power station. This building is of utmost importance, as it is vital to keep the automated defenses of the city working. Second squad will be deployed to this chokepoint." The holographic map behind him expanded and a portion was highlighted. "This is the only way into the industrial district from the Northeast section of the city. The Metal Heads will stream through there one way or another, so along with 70 regulars, and whatever air and armor support there is available, second squad will cover that point. The industrial district is of utmost importance, as all of our weaponry is produced there. Third squad will do the same, but on the South side of the industrial district at this point." The area he was referring to was automatically highlighted. "Now, the fourth and final squad will be deployed to the farming district. All of Haven's food supplies come from that area, so we can not afford to lose it! 900 soldiers will be guarding that area, and we're adding in a 4 man squad of soldiers to be completely thorough. And lastly, we're deploying two squads to the residential sector, one guarding the east route, the other the west. They will be accompanied by a battalion of 500 soldiers. We must protect the civilians at all costs!"
The colonel reached behind himself, and grabbed another document. From that document, he proceeded to read the names and squad designations of the soldiers. The soldiers he named formed their squads, and stood away from the rest. Zrion's name wasn't called for any of them. "All of you, move to the hanger and proceed to your assigned areas. Three V-22 Ospreys are prepared to take each squad to their drop points. Move out." The squads quickly jogged down a hallway, and to the hanger to be deployed. "The rest of you are to remain here on standby. We're going to be deploying squads throughout the battle as needed, to reinforce vital areas and the squads we have deployed already. I will now assign everyone to their squads."
The respected leader did just that, reading off names and forming Fifteen 4 man squads, including the ones that were just deployed. Zrion was appointed the squad leader of Fifth squad. The Colonel assigned the rest of the soldiers, and dismissed them. Zrion and his squad mates proceeded to an uncrowded area, and got to know each other in low voices, preparing for what was to come.
