Not all that far outside the panic stricken cesspool that was Haven City, a dark and foreboding figure stood motionlessly at the brink of a rocky cliff. His body, if one could actually go as far as to call it that, seemed to be comprised entirely of black liquid and the very air around him crackled with purple energy. For those even moderately versed in the ways of the world, this could mean only one thing. . . Lord Deco. The demon could feel the fear radiating up from the pathetic humans below. It was nothing short of intoxicating. "Mallock." He growled, speaking through the trace amounts of dark eco that ran through the hybrids veins, despite the considerable distance between them. "I grow tired of waiting." While the dark lord knew well the meticulous planning that the half-breed had gone through to make the coming attack a reality, he could honestly not have cared less. The only thing that mattered to Deco was complete and utter carnage. He wanted bloodshed the likes of which Haven had never seen before. . . and he wanted it NOW! With a sudden burst of inhuman motion, the molecules of the eco demon's body separated to form a gaseous cloud that, in turn, quickly spun itself into a massive tornado of pure dark eco. Black lightning flashed mercilessly through the sky and a deep laugh split the air as the twister blasted off down the cliff side and towards the city gates with unimaginable speed. The time of reaping was upon them!

Mick's heavy footsteps joined many other hurried footsteps as he rushed madly down the corder his blaster rifle in hand. Alarms echoed through as he approached the metal door that separated him from the outside.
His orders were simple enough, maintain a defensive post around the prison. He stared through his helmets visor at the city streets watching people running to and fro screaming and carrying belongings and infants. Who could blame them? He thought as he stood with a few dozen Krimzon Guards holding firm around the prison.
He looked down at his gun, looking at the engraving of 'shoot twoads enemy' on his gun remembering his little sisters smiling face. I hope Evey isn't getting herself into to much troubble...
Evey looked confused when she heard the rumbling outside. "That can't be good!" She exclaimed running into the kitchen to grab her staff and jacket wondering what else she might need to use in battle. She popped her head out of the kitchen door looking to Neko.
"Am I forgetting anything?"

Rawling pulled his guns from his jacket with an invisible force and began spinning them in the palms of his hands. "I'm not really fighting for this city. Its' just a place to live... I'm fighting for you guys. The ones that have befriended be and have spent there lives with me. The ones that I care for the most." He look at Neko on that notion and smirked.
He turned to Pyro. "I'm ready for some action!" The spinning guns stopped as he gripped their handles.
"But we need to stay together. Pyro I know your KG And I'm sure you have to report in. I'll see you on the battle field."
___________________________________________________ Starus called upon his entire division of 436 P.A.D. KG soldiers. They were in the briefing room await their instructions.
Captain Starus Grisum stood proudly at the front of the room. "Hello gentlemen. I'm sure you are well informed of the current situation. A Metalhead attack is immanent and we must be prepared for the worst. The city official have issued an emergency evacuation fo don't worry about your families.
"Now then. Onto business. I'm going to making this short and sweet. There will be squads of 100 at each of the four main gates of the city. You will remain in a phalanx! You will not break rank! Stay together, do not cower and the enemy will not break through. Undstood!?"
"Yes sir!" The Pole Arms Division was pumped today.
"Excellent. Now, if it just to happens that the enemy does break through...use "it."
Everyone in the room got wide eyed and looked at each other with excitement.
"That's only worst case scenario! Do NOT use it unless that happens. Understood!?"
"Yes sir!"
Once you use "it", your lances will be useless. Take up your spears and fight with your fullest extent. And remember. The technology department was so kind as to reinforce all shields with red eco so don't worry about its integrity.
"Good you all have been assigned into your four battalions. Alpha! You take the North Gate. Bravo! Take the West Gate. Charlie at the East. And Delta hold position at the South Entrance."
The remaining P.A.D. forces will be assigned to me to reinforce inside the city. Is everything clear!?"
"HOORAH!!!"
"Good! Just remember what or who you're fighting for gentlemen. It may help out there.
"Now roll out!"

Johnny sat on top of the roof silently in though. He stared at the approaching store and the dark clouds looked oh so glorious. With a smile Johnny holstered his "Spreader" and made his travel towards the outer wall of the city. He wanted to find this guy. And kill with him.

Dropping her small lunch on the floor of her apartment Kelinna was frozen in fear as the report showed on the television screen. Hearing the scream and panic voices outside her window she was thrown in confusion when someone or something started to bang against her door. Clutching the fabric of her shirt where her heart was beating at a hectic pace Kelinna looked out the peephole, standing outside her door was two fully dressed KG. Opening the door as far as the chain would let it she kept her eyes down casted "yes...Is there something I can help you with?" Hearing the long pause she was about to close the door until one KG slammed his hand against the frame "You are the green eco user who healed many of us not to long ago correct?" Confused for a moment she nodded her head slowly "that would be correct sir but.." The other KG cutting her off quickly pushed his friend aside "Look we know who you really are Ms. you don't really think that someone with that much eco control would go unrecognized did you?" Very scared at that moment one thought flashed through her mind, they want me to heal during the battle! closing the door softly she reluctantly unlocked the door turning away she did not see the men barrel into her home. Grabbing her staff and shutting off her t.v. just as they where replying the message once again. "I'm ready to go now sirs..." Feeling a dark presence sudden appear out of no where Kelinna hurried to the window noticing a dark cloud forming on the horizon. "Something wicked this way comes..."

With the wind gusting about, Mallock stood on the edge of a rocky cliff, watching Deco tear off towards the city. Patience Deco, your time will come soon enough, the metalhead hybrid though. Turning Mallock walked back towards a large cave in the cliff side, his fiery eyes glowing with a hungry light. "Sicar, ready the forces. I will deal with Deco and get him back under control, we'll need him to take out the power district. Make sure to have our new breed on stand by ready for him to consume if he starts getting....tired." With a grin of strange amusement Mallock walked a little farther into the cave, leaving his second in command to go and ready the troops. Stopping he looked up at a large hora'quan, the massive thing was one of his prized creations. It was a hora'quan dragon, large enough for someone to ride on. Hopping onto the beast, its eyes flared brightly like two balls of fire. Then with a lung the dragon ran forward and dove of the cliff side. Opening its wings the dragon gained lift and flew off towards Deco, Mallock still holding his toothy grin in anticipation of the coming slaughter.
Sicar turned and began walking down the cave, Mallock's orders still echoing in his ears. Finally the time was here, finally he would be able to once more spill the blood of his enemies. His glowing yellow eyes shown from beneath the rough metal mask that he wore over his face, becoming brighter and brighter as he thought about the fights to come. Stepping out into a large chasm Sicar looked all around just to see glowing eyes everywhere. With a deep primal roar all eyes centered on Sicar. They knew what the call meant... It was time....
Driving a nail home with his hammer, Ezekiel finished the last of the preparations to fortify the orphanage. Well its not a bunker but its better then nothing I suppose, he thought as he jumped off the roof of the orphanage. Turning around he looked at his handy work. It would have to do, for now. Picking up his tools he brought them inside, where he found nuns running back and forth trying to get the children to pack their things. Ezekiel looked around with both anger and sadness. These children didn't need this, no one needed this. As he look around he felt something grab hold of his tail. Pulling off his hood, he pulled his tail around to find a little girl holding on to it. "Uncle Dragy, wha' is going on?" Ezekiel sighed, unsure what to tell the child. Taking hold of her hand in his own he led her off to her room, "Come on little one, lets get your stuff together."
With his gear all strapped on Etrius walked out his home onto his roof top, making sure to lock the door as he left. It probably wouldn't stop any rampaging metal head but it made him feel a little more secure. Then putting away his key he turned stretched for a minute, then took off running across the roof tops. There was no need to run on the ground, too many people in panic. No, he would stay with the roof tops, jumping and bounding from each one with no real destination. Coming to a halt Etrius saw the dark cloud forming on the horizon. That can't be good, he though. A steady hum filled the air as he looked off at the unnatural clouds that seemed to push away the storm clouds that hung over head. Walking to the edge of the roof he was occupying he looked down to find a to large transports filling with civilians. KG worked with difficulty trying to keep the peace and prevent the ships from being over run with frantic civilians. Then with a increase hum and a dull roar the two transports closed there doors and lifted off.

Though peerless in courage, the poor wretched fools that found themselves standing guard outside the gates of Haven on this fateful day never truly stood a chance. The maelstrom of darkness was upon them in an instant and with it came an insatiable lust for blood. With as little mental effort as it would have taken to bat a fly, the eco demon shifted back into his more traditional humanoid form and gave one final mid-air twist before slamming the jagged blade that had once been his right arm directly into the chest of the nearest KG. The remaining soldiers moved in quickly, desperate in their attempts to rescue an already doomed comrade, but were rewarded with only a sadistic laugh as their gunfire passed harmlessly through the creature's liquid body. When would the fools ever learn? Whirling around with a look of sheer madness in his glowing eyes, Deco ripped his bladed appendage free through the side of his first victim's chest and reshaped it into a clawed hand to wrap around the helmet laden cranium of yet another. Blood and grey matter were sent gushing through the air as it was crushed like a grape. The next few seconds were a flash of gore and violence as Deco continued his rampage. It mattered little how many of the vermin came forth in some misguided attempt to halt his progress. . . They all met the same fate. It continued on until, at last, only one remained. Battered and bloody, but somehow managing to keep his trembling legs beneath him, the lone guard stood valiantly before the gates as the beast slowly approached. The man new that he should run. He new that to not run would mean death. But there was one other thing that he new. . . He new that retreat was not an option. Not only his family, but the families of countless others lay behind these gates. What would become of them if he were to surrender now? No. . . He could not run! A single tear traced it's way down the man's war torn cheek. Gripping his trusty broadsword with both hands, he began his final charge at a full sprint. "FOR HAVEN!" His battle cry pierced the blood soaked air, ringing throughout the city like a beacon of hope as he leaped high into the air and swung with all of his might. The blow never connected. Like a javelin from the deepest pits of hell, a crackling beam of pure dark energy lashed forth from the eco demon's open mouth and blasted the man's chest into smoldering pieces. Stepping casually over the man's lifeless body, so much like a marionette devoid of strings, Deco moved directly in front of enormous metal doors and seemed for a moment to be sizing them up. Then, drawing back one massive crystalline fist, he let fly a punch that shook the very walls of Haven. The warm up was over. . . Now the true fun could begin.

Going along with the men Kelinna tried to ignore the chaos going on around the city. Letting out a surprised cry when the very city trembled she noticed the KGs draw their swords, "don't worry Ms. we won't let anything happen to you, some of us owe our very lives to you..." Walking slower behind the guards Kelinna could only guess that they where nearing the chosen site, it was swarming with several men and women all armed to give their life for Haven. "Capitan we have brought the girl like you asked sir" hearing a gruff answer the two men where quickly dismissed, an older man limped over to Kelinna. "You had better be as good as you used to be girl cause we will need all the help we can get during this fight." Nodding her head slowly Kelinna could feel the hair at the back of her neck prickling from the sheer power that was threating the people. "I promise sir I will do my best."

Rawling stared at the purple cloud with awe. "What is that?" He went up high into the air to try to get a better look. "Pyro!" He shouted to the ground. "Get to your zoomer and lets head out! Neko, Evey! Go with him and stay on you toes!"
Rawling bursted off leaving a trailing ripple of magnetism behind him. A cloudy ring burst around him followed by a sonic boom and shattered a few windows nearby.
He was approaching the clouds so he descended closer to the ground he planted a foot on the ground and made a running landing. There he found hundreds of KG posted by a giant metal door. He approached to closest one, who was holding a lance and shield turtling behind it.
"Whats going on. What is this purple cloud?"
The P.A.D. member turned his head to Rawling with a stern face. "There is some sort of demon on the other side! Civilian! I insist that you evacuate and find a safe shelter!"
Rawling began hovering and blue lightning formed around him. this caught the attention of every KG around him. "I'm more than a civilian." He said with an electric and hollow voice. He flew over the other side of the wall and there it was.
That dark eco creature he had seen underground before! Is eyes widened in shock. "Him!"

Johnnyalso followed the purple cloud. He snuck around the KG soldiers and managed to get outside of the wall. He saw the monstrosity beating on the outside of the gate. "Well N'ai'ow. How ya doin'? You with that feller that was own the TV earlier?, He walked with in 10 ft from him, "I'ah won't in. "I'ah've been waitin' for this day fer f'ah've years. Fer sum one to F'ah'nally take down these idiotic creatures. In this city. I'ah won't to kill'em all. I'ah wont them all dead!"
"You won't in? I'ah know a where you can get in beh'ah'nd 'em. Sure fer a massacre!"
"So what do ya say g'ah?" His eyes were sereious and blood hungry. Even this demon should see it. He wanted to be soaked in the blood of the imbeciles behind the gate.

There was a tiny explosion in an alley, a puff of gray smoke, and a shrill scream. A few trash bins tumbled over, adding to the clutter. Jule sat up, rubbing her head with both hands, eyes squeezed shut. Her goggles were down and covered in soot. She coughed, pushing the black goggles up on top of her head. "Whoa! It worked!" She gasps, looking around after rubbing her eyes. Her ears perked, tail wagging like an excited dog, and she jumped to her feet. She was surely a strange sight to those that noticed--a few passersby that were trying to prepare for the oncoming attack that Jule knew nothing about. The ottsel walked back over to the alley her machine had appeared in, dusting her hands on the sides of her sweatshirt. Seeing pieces strewn among the garbage, a few chunks still smoking and sparking, she sighed. "But it looks like I'm stranded until I can rebuild the machine.." She scratches her head, looking around. "Now.. Where am I? When am I?!"
Eli had been standing just in front of the alley as the explosion from Jule's little mishap went off. He was now in the middle of the street, rubbing a red spot on his head. Apparently a piece of the ottsel's machine bopped him in the noggin. Now he stood there, rubbing the sore spot and staring at the little creature. She looked lost, but that could also be accredited to the fact that she was verbally wondering where and when she was. The fifteen year old walked over to her, forgetting about his bumped head, and stooped down to tap her shoulder. "Miss, are you alright?" He asked quietly, trying his hardest to ignore the other people staring at them. The ottsel blinked at him, then her expression brightened. But before she could say anything, they heard what seemed to be a loud commotion. In the sky above them, there was a strange shimmering. Eli looked worried. He didn't wait for any kind of acknowledgment or consent; he picked the ottsel up and started jogging away from the site. They needed to not be so -close- to the gate. Preferably on the other side of town.
"Hey! Kid, unhand me!" Jule shouted, squirming and flailing her little arms and legs. She managed to smack Eli in the face, causing him to drop her in shock. She landed on her rump, but quickly jumped back to her feet. Straightening her sweatshirt, she growled, "It's rude to pick people up without asking!" She started marching back toward the alley, noticing for the first time the people heading in the opposite direction. She blinked, then pointed at a group of guards heading for the gate. "What's going on?" She turned back to Eli, who had walked back up to her and was now rubbing his face. "Is there something going on?"
"We're under attack." He stated, dropping his hand back to his side. "That's why I was trying to get us away. You seem.. Lost." His eyes were on the guards that were going to reinforce the gate, or trying to fight off whatever was attacking. Eli didn't know, didn't want to know.
"Why go in the other direction? This is your home, isn't it? Shouldn't you try to defend it?" Jule asked, looking up at Eli. She tapped her chin, then shrugged. "I wanna see what's going on. Is there a way to get to the top of that wall?" She pointed up, at the wall above. She wanted a good vantage point, and that would probably be the best way. Without waiting for Eli to respond, she ran off toward the wall nearest their current position, trying to find a way to climb to the top without being noticed too much. "Hey, kid! Help me out over here!" Jule shouted back as she pushed a crate towards the wall. Her plan: Stack stuff till one can see over the wall. Simple concept.
"I don't think that's going to..work.." Eli sighed, coming to stop behind the ottsel. "We can't just do that. Come on, we need to get out of the way so people don't.. Trample us." He scratched the side of his head, watching the little ottsel push another crate up next to the first. "I'm Eli, for what it's worth. Who... And what... Are you?"
Jule paused only long enough to pass a smile. "Jule Feldan. Ottsel engineer extraordinaire!" And she went right back to pushing and stacking.
Sighing in defeat, and still a little clueless as to what exactly Jule was, Eli decided to help the little creature stack crates and other things they could find.

HQ was very quiet now. Each squad had been assigned, and as always before a mission, the squad members got to know each other. They would ask about families, jobs, their futures, hopes and dreams, and anything else they could think of. It really helped the squad work as a team. The topic had just turned to combat moves, when Draheim turned towards them. "Fifth Squad, Attention!" He barked. The squad immediately lept into action, double-timing up to the Colonel and snapping to the position of attention, Zrion on the far right.
"Alright men, we've gotten a report of some sort of strange disturbance just outside the west wall of the city." The Colonel barked in the authoritative tone that he always reserved for orders. "We don't know what it is exactly, but it took out the gate guards out in less than a minute." He paused, looking closely at the 4-man squad as if to detect fear or weakness. "We got word because it seemed one of the guards at the gate had activated his radio, begging for reinforcements before he was killed." He walked over to a console, and pressed a button.
"Commander, Commander!! A terrified voice said. "We've got contact on the West gate! It's blowing right through us! We need backup, now! No! Wait, what the - NOOOO!!" The recording stopped. "We don't know what it is, but it's most likely going to try and enter the city.. In any case, we're sending in your squad as a precautionary measure. Make no mistake, only engage the target IF it enters the city. Otherwise, hold your fire. If all else fails, then call in one of the hellcats that are on standby to take it out. Any questions?" Apparently there were none, because after a few seconds, no one broke the silence. "Alright, move to the hanger, there should be a drop ship waiting for you. Fall out."
The squad saluted, and began to march in double-time. They first moved down one of the hallways, then the hanger itself. It was a very modest sized hanger, capable of containing an attack helicopter, or a few dropships. A black armored soldier saw the squad's entry, and waved to them. Not needing any further encouragement, the 4 men walked up the ramp and entered the ship, while the pilot entered the front. The door closed behind them, and they all took a seat. The ship lurched, and rocketed into the air through the open hanger door.
