Ertimus was not having a good day. He woke up to a dead day at the shop, having only one person had come in. They had looked around for about ten minutes and didn't even buy anything. Afterwards, he had gone to Haven Forest for a race against someone who possibly might have the missing piece to his staff. But, not only did he find out his opponent didn't have the staff piece, but Ertimus discovered someone had tampered with his racing zoomer. The braking fins were missing and the levitation system had been oddly reversed. He had worked on that zoomer for just under a year, and had only recently completely finished it, having attached a boosting system and two concealable auto/manual switchable turrets. It was his best piece of work, built from the body of an old, beat up zoomer that, according to the scrapyard owner, would never work again. He bought it from the metal scrappers outside the city wall, and worked on it for ten months afterwards. He got it working again despite all odds, and considered it one of his prize projects. He was definitely not happy that someone had messed with it. As he walked he thought of other places his staff piece could possibly be. He turned the corner onto the street of his shop, the "Precursor Palace". The late afternoon sun lit up the front of the building, causing the precursor items inside to shine against the shelves and display cases. He had bought that not to long after entering Haven City. For two years, Ertimus had put up with Krew and his obvious obsession of Himself. Once he got enough money, Ertimus bought his shop, cleaned it up, and started out by selling custom made staffs and decorations. Once he got enough money, Ertimus began ordering supplies to expand his inventory, including clothes, blades and guns. He had run this store for five years now, having made many regular customers, some of who had invited him to occasions such as dinner out or small parties. Despite these invitations and their regular visits though, none of them knew who he really was or what he could do. He was thinking about this as he neared his shop. He started to get his keys out, and had just found the correct one when the front display window shattered from something flying through it. The speed of the object caused the glass to bust inward, showering the battle staffs. Ertimus, shocked, angry, and a little disbelieving that his day could get worse, stood rooted to the spot. He was always able to stay calm and collected, but this was to much, this is where he drew the line. Letting the stress of the day take over, Ertimus yelled in anger "WHOEVER BUSTED MY WINDOW IS GOING TO GET A BEATING FROM HELL!"

Genesis emerged from the rubble of the building he was launched into. He had raised a claw to hold his face as he groaned out in pain. Taking a nice big wallop to the face that could send one flying AND crashing into a building doe hurt. A LOT. Not long after he emerged, Genesis stepped back out onto the streets of Haven. A glare was present that could melt Precursor metal if he had laser eyes.
"All right buster... you're going to get it now..." Genesis growled, lowering his body to the ground.
Then he was off. Gone in a blaze as he ran towards the port again. Genesis knew his speed was nearly unrivaled when running, but fighting seemed to make him slow down a bit. Yet he rushed onwards towards his foe that launched him. The anger he felt inside could make him fume if he fell into some water. With a great force, the Metal Head launched himself into the air, out of sight of anyone nearby.

Ertimus stared at the Metal Head, completely confused. *Since when do Metal Heads talk? And since when have they been able to get in the city?* Was he talking to Ertimus when he spoke? Only one way to find out. Ertimus gripped his staff and ran after Genesis. He ran towards the bridge that went out over the water. Genesis had launched himself over there before disappearing in the bright sunlight.
He got to the bridge and charge up a minimal amount of blue eco, gaining some speed for the straight stretch across. He stopped using it once he got to the first tower and walked to the opposite side of the walkway. As he looked into the water, he didn't see Genesis, but he still felt the presence of an extreme amount of Dark Eco that seemed to emanate from him. It was an unusual amount of eco as well, even for a Metal Head. Ertimus whispered to himself, "Where are you, you dark infested creature?" He began to walk across the bridge as he looked, intent on finding Genesis.

Genesis had latched himself onto the face of another, aquatic Metal Head. Most of his body blocking its view. The Metal Head thrashed wildly in the water in an attempt to throw Genesis off. With each thrash, Genesis tightened his grip. The Metal Head he was on suddenly ceased its movement and submerged itself, and Genesis, under the water. Bubbles wildly and quickly emerged, breaking the surface of the water in the port. They soon came to a halt.
A purple light suddenly lit up the water for at least a few moments. Genesis, now in his dark form, was thrown out of the liquid mass only to land on the roof of a nearby building, creating a substantial gap in the roof and the floors below until he reached the ground level. Rubble consisting of wood, dry wall, stone, and metal buried him. The aquatic foe soon rose from the water, staring at the building Genesis just crashed into.

Ertimus looked at the now ruined building where the first metal head had gone. Never before had Ertimus sensed so much darkness inside a single being. The fact that it hadn't destroyed the beast was quite surprising. And yet, it could talk, and seemed to have a level of control over the darkness. Interesting.
Ertimus then looked at the metal head in the water. It was still staring at the building. It to had darkness in it, more than usual, but less than the first. Despite this, this one felt less controlled, less intelligent. It acted more on instinct, natural reflexes almost every metal head was born with. The instinct to destroy everything human or civilized.
Ertimus had to make a choice; stronger, more civilized metal head, or weaker, more destructive and less controlled? He quickly made up his mind after noticing the second metal head start to look around. Gripping his staff behind him, Ertimus charged up a sizable amount of yellow eco and channeled it into the eco crystal on his staff, increasing its power. He then swung his staff and sent a ball of eco at the beast just as it saw him, launching it back into the water.
Ertimus then spun around and ran to the building the first metal head crashed into. He walked inside and began rustling through the rubble. He spoke as he dug, hoping the creature could hear him, "I hate metal heads, but you seem different. You have more Dark eco in you than any other being I have ever met, yet you can talk, and you seem to be in control. I'll help you take out your enemy out there, but after that, we're going to talk."

Genesis wasn't too happy about getting thrown a second time during this fight. He emerged once more from the pile of wood and drywall. He growled angrily and grabbed a piece of wood with one of his front claws and wielded it as if it were a club. Genesis slowly made his way out of the small space by coming to a wall and punching a hole right through it. His action caused the smaller hole he just made into a sizable hole for him to step out out.
"If only Tonus and Pyrius were here..." Genesis grumbled to himself, now noticing that a human was attacking the Metal Head he is currently after. "Hey! What do you think you're doing! Get away from that thing before it rips your face off!"

Ertimus looked at the Metal Head with a look of disbelief. It talked twice now, and revealed it actually cared for humans. Odd. He noted the size, and felt the darkness even more now that he was close up. It was almost like when Dark eco took control of him before, when the precursors locked him at the bottom of the ocean.
"I don't know how you can talk, or how you can survive with all the darkness inside you, but I do know I can take care of myself. I have faced more powerful beasts than this one, and even small armies of twenty dark creatures at least. Right now, we work together to take this one down, protect the people of the city. Afterwards, we talk. Agreed?"
Ertimus then turned and got ready to face the other creature that was just emerging from the water, not waiting for an answer from the metal head now behind him. He thought to himself as he got ready to fight, *Best to get this over with quick and get out of here before the KG show up and get involved.*

Genesis just rolled his eyes and turned around as soon as the water-based foe emerged from the seas and with a powerful swing, broke his piece of wood across the Metal Head's face. The aquatic creature roared only to be silenced by a back-claw from Genesis. A glare that even reinforced the slap.
"Oh will you just SHUT UP?!" Genesis growled before turning back to the human before him. "Look.. guy... I can cause enough collateral by myself and I don't need one casualty that refuses to leave the immediate area. So.. if you'd please, please just listen to me and get yourself out of here before-"
Genesis was interrupted by being grabbed and held in front of the aquatic beast's mouth. The Metal Head just groaned while it roared in his ears. Genesis wasn't very impressed by the display of the creature and it shown on his face. An unamused gesture of a small frown and glare that confused his attacker.

Ertimus sighed. Obviously this metal head wouldn't listen, but he might watch. Ertimus charged up some red eco and leaped at the aquatic beast's face, swinging his staff around and smashing into the side of its face. He watched as it dropped its catch and swung back from the blow, this time merely falling onto the bridge itself.
Ertimus looked at the first beast, noting he was OK. "That enough for you? This time it won't be able to launch you from the water again. Now, let's talk later and finish this now." He looked at the second metal head, noting it was struggling to get up. "You want to take it while its still down? Seems fitting you finish the fight, seeing it was so intent to take you out."

"What? A tiny bit of eco use is supposed to prove something?" Genesis retorted, landing on all fours.
The sea-based Metal Head arose once again and roared. This caused Genesis to groan and grumble to himself. before taking an attack stance of lowering his body close to the ground. The aquatic beasts started to swim rapidly toward the shore that Genesis and the human stood. Genesis was quick to act, jumping and tightly coiling himself, his body burst into a disk of Dark Eco before coming down. His move gave off a sound of that like a buzz saw mixed with a formula one racecar, and when it made contact was off. The ground from where he landed was cracked all to hell.
The disk didn't fall in the water. No, instead, it was using the water as if it was a SOLID MASS under it. The disk that was Genesis eventually hit the aqua Metal Head head-on, and launched it into the air, the disk vanishing afterwards. The beast had just been launched far enough into the air that is just barely saw over the wall. That is, until it heard a cross-buzzing above it. Genesis came crashing down against the upward force of the aquatic Metal Head, sending it at terminal velocity back down to the earth below and the dark waters it came from.
