No hovering. That was one of the stupidest rules the Baron had ever made in Josie's mind. JET-Boards were practically her life and she lived her life on a JET-Board. The law the KG's always screamed at her made her sick to her stomach. At least the Underground JET-Board circuit was fun. She was suiting up right now. Her race name "Fox" was one she carried oh so proudly. Josie as hiding in th small building the circuit planned on meeting in that day. Just a small town meeting building by the entrance to the stadium, The course was different this week. Follow the water to the farming sections and bazaar, and the first one to the Hip Hog Saloon got a hefty sump of cash. Josie needed that, not just for the money, but for the ego boost as well.
Gosh, does she take forever or what? Quinn groaned in his head as he paced outside. His hair was pulled back in a ponytail, a nice navy dress shirt on and a black vest. He dressed up for his cousin's races. He always guarded it. His paranoia drove him to thinking someone would murder his cousin. Josie always made fun of him but he believed it to be true with his whole heart and soul. He paced and paced some more, almost driving himself to insanity, until his cousin finally came out. Decked out in her usual outfit, but with a white jacket, zipped up and a hood pulled over her unmistakable hair and a mask that only covered her eyes with the pattern of a fox on it. "You look good," he sighed.
"Thanks," Josie replied with a million dollar smile. They had gone over their checklist and everything was good to go. Quinn handed her her JET-Board with a cautious hand. Josie smiled and brought him in a warm hug. Quinn tried to smile and Josie laughed. Josie walked past him with a walk that was sassy and full of personality. She was definitely ready.
The lineup was ten racers all together. Josie took her place by a very tall man who looked down at her with a scowl. In a sarcastic grace, she smiled at him and mouthed "See you on the track". Then, she placed her feet on her JET-Board and waited to hear the countdown.
Quinn walked over to a place on the rail by the water to see his cousin take off. Races were always a good workout for him because he follow Josie on his zoomer most of the way. He sighed another long sigh and listened to the roar of the crowd as they counted down and the racers shot out to the water.

Street clothes. Actually, city street clothes. Dress up. Mykah scowled, her olive eyes scanning the crowd for a familiar face. Han'r Josie been ranting about this race forever The womans scowl deepened as someone walked in front of her. A few nasty expletives later, she was walking away from a very embarassed man. Oh Mykah, you have to come to my race, you have to. bleh. Jeeze Josie, you could have at least told me I was going to have to look nice instead of springing me on it the day before. I'd rather be in my work boots than these stupid tenneshoes
In all actuality, Mykah looked like she was on fire. Literally. Her short cropped hair was pulled into a slight ponytail in the bck, front bangs left to hang in her face. Even if she could make them cooperate she wouldn't. Her suit was two piece, and deep deep red. Beautiful really when you came down too it. But couple it with her explosive personality portrayed through her every move and you had a waking firecracker with a lit fuse. Her shirt was black, a simple gold chain around her neck. Her ears were lacking thier usual many earrings. Replacing them instead were black cuffs.
As she pushed her way through the people she finally found the face she was looking for. He was leaning against the rail. looking good in a dark shirt and black vest hair tied back. She rolled her eyes at her own though. Man, I'm going to get spun out on this spintry. She though in her own strange way. She just shook her head and walked up like normal, all outward flare and burning embers inside.
" Hey Quinn. Watch upto ?"

Targa peered over the window sill of the small farmhouse he was hiding in. The bodies of the owners were lying behind him black eco blast marks all over them. He was waiting for the JET-board racers to go past. He wanted one of those JET-boards. He shifted around uncomfortable in the heavy concealing gloves and cloak he was wearing. He knew that a JET-board would be useful outside the city and he could use it to avoid capture.

Quinn turned his head to see the familiar face that was calling his name. He gave a friendly smile. He wasn't an incredibly friendly person and didn't have the best people skills in the world but he had a social network of his own.
"Watching and observing...like always. How you doin', Mykah?" he asked. "I see Josie gave away her little secret to someone." Quinn chuckled after he had finished speaking and watched the racers take off. His cousin spent no time making her way to the front.
As the signal left to take off, Josie pushed forward with full force of her body and took off across the water. She bent her knees and kept good balance as the other racers tries to swerve past her and even hit her off her board, but she had been in the circuit long enough to develop her own methods of madness. Through the wholes in her mask, her ice blue eyes focused on the next turn coming up in the small waterway and as she hit it, she thrusted into another racer with her shoulder. The racer moaned and fell off his board. The crowd cheered and Josie couldn't help but giggle.
Quinn laughed as he watched Josie. "I can always pick her out of the crowd." He turned to face Mykah. Quinn's red eyes shifted over to a two-passenger zoomer that was sitting by a building. "I usually follow the track from the sky. Wanna join?" he asked. Mykah wasn't exactly a good friend. But he figured it would be rude to leave without asking if she wanted to join and watch the race.
Josie continued down the track, knowing Quinn was probably going to be following from his zoomer She was in the front, only one racer was in front of her. But there was plenty of track left. She wasn't worried. But something was tugging at her. Something bad. As she passed an old farmhouse, she got a creepy feeling. Josie shook it off and crouched lower on her board..

Rawling loved these races. Loved to race them that is. But he always competed in them as an anonymous racer. Disguising himself and barely saying two words. Reason being that he knows people like to hold grudges if they lost. Of course it would take more than that to actually stop him from racing on his newly fashioned jet board.
A shining ebony with the glow of blue illuminating from the outside edge and the main power supply to the accelerator. That blue being pure blue eco in its liquid form. That was the fuel for this small mobile machine supplied by Rawling's own eco reserves within himself. To match his new board, he fashioned himself with a black racing suit that is blue over the stitchings and a black visored helmet. He was ready for some hardcore racing.
He saw many familiar faces. Some of them be friendly and some so much because of the few wins Rawling had made. Good thing he came with the helmet on and the visor down. And look the infamous "Fox" was here too. Rawling never raced her but he knew that she was good.
He stood on the starting line ready as ever. With a snap was his fingers his board activated. Rawling dropped the board down where it hovered a few inches from the ground. He stepped on top of it making it list to one side just for a instant as he put his other foot on.
He took one good deep breathe and the signal went off. Rawling leaned forward and the accelerated like a bat out of hell. He easily sped past all of the competitors. Even the great Fox! "THIS THING'S AMAZING!!!" He shouted in his head. The eco inside of his board was flowing through its vein in various dances of light. It in itself was on awesome sight. Ripples of blue eco shot from the bottom of the boards and left traces of in the water below.
Rawling then noticed that Fox was just about neck and neck with him. "She's good." He said to himself. He turned to her and gave her a nod and a little salute. When he looked forward again he snapped his fingers again and electric sparks flew from the board. Rawling got lower on the board and it picked up even more speed. "It would suck to crash right now.." He thought leaving Fox in his dust.

Ku was sitting in the stands, watching the races down below him. He always heard about the Underground races, but never went to one...until today that is. He held his mouth half agape as he watched the racers zoom past nhim, pulling off graceful and awesome tricks.
He watched as the girl known as "Fox" zoomed past, watching her every move and angle. He thought,"She must be the best one there is!"

Targa began firing his Dark Eco cannon towards the racers as they flew past. He hit two Racers who where blasted off their boards, one of which Exploded disrupting other racers and causing a few to crash. He didn't care about the JET-board anymore he was consumed by blood lust and a could not stop himself, a powerful blood-lust came upon him then and he charged from his hiding place ready to tear and rend the grounded survivors.

The racer in front of her was undoubtedly talented. But it seemed as if he was using something. Better JET-Board, perhaps? Whatever the cause, he was in front and that's not where he should be. But Josie didn't give up hope that quick. There was still plenty of track left to go and she was sure she could pass him by time she came to the bazaar. She wasn't even out of the water yet, let alone the rest of the stadium section. She did a quick glance up to see if Quinn's zoomer was hovering somewhere above, but she couldn't see him. Strange, she thought.
Josie scanned the crowd quickly with her icy blue eyes. Most were cheering. But she was looking for her cousin, he was always somewhere hovering. But he was nowhere to be seen. Not on air or land in sight. Josie's stomach started to hurt. she easily got nervous. Not with anything other than family Especially Quinn. While she was searching, she saw a person in the crowd with a face of awe. She smiled. Probably looking at me, Josie half joked, and half believed herself. Her and ego was too much for some people.
Sadly, her crowd searching was bad for her. Next thing she knew, something hit her. The hit landed right on her right knee and burned like a fire. She looked down as she hissed loudly in pain to see the glowing dark eco dripping off her leg. "Precurosrs!" she screamed as another blast hit her right foot and knocked her off her board. She landed on her side in the water. The smash hurt her like a brick. Other racers hit the water, but they stayed there. Josie poked her head out of the water and fixed her mask, resting her elbows on her board. She shook in nervousness. Something was out there, and killing racers. Luckily she hadn't gotten a vital hit.
Josie wasted no time crawling back onto her board and taking off on the track as quick as she could. Now, she didn't care if she won, she just cared if she got out of there alive.

Rawling was feeling really good. He was in the lead and he knew for a fact that nothing could bring him down. Until something shot straight through his visor. A flash hit his eyes and through him off balance. He fell into the water realizing: Someone just tried to kill him! "What the hell!?" He thought as he surfaced seeing many other races downed in the water. Many of them injured some of the already dead.
The glass on his visor was irradiated in front of his eyes. This was a plus he could definitely see better giving that there as no tint. But who cares about that! He needed to get back on his board. He raised his hand and emited an electro magnetic signal that "called" his board to him. He climbed back on top to see that Fox was already was already leaving the crime scene. But Rawling ,always wanting to be the one to help, stayed behind to try and help as many people as possible.
There was one guy only feet from him screaming about his stomach. Rawling picked up a random board and brought it to him. "Come on buddy. Let's get you out of the water and onto the street." Rawling said standing over the man on his jet-board. He reversed his board to help hoist the guy onto the random jet board. Indeed his stomach was a burnt mess. "Give me your hand." Rawling pulled the man closer to the shore. He let go to let the board to the rest.
Just then Rawling saw this lunatic metalhead. Running towards the race track. "Hey you!" He shouted. "Did you do this!?"

Khaloron was on the side lines watching the event to learn, as always, about the human culture and social behavior. These "JET-Board" races seemed to be the hype of many here in Haven City and Khaloron saw why. High steed thrill of the adrenaline pumped event even had him interested.
Unfortunately all was cut short due to someone firing upon the contenders. All of them fell but only two got back up. One retreating the other foolishly stay behind to assist the survivors. When this racer shouted to someone Khaloron turned his attention. It was a Hora'quan attacker! "What is he doing in the open!? Once the Krimson Guard know if his existence he will be hunted down!"
Khaloron watched intently at the Hora'quan, ready to intervene if he does something absurd.

Ku watched in horror as racers were hit. He saw only Fox get up and felt an immense evil energy coming from one spot. He turned his head in the direction, but couldn't see anything. He thought,"I gotta help those other guys!" He climbed down from the stands and made his way over to the racers.
He kneeled over one man and his hands began to glow green. He placed it on the man's side and said,"You'll be fine. I'll try to fix you up as best as possible." He quickly tended to the next person and continued onto the next.
