Itwas cold in the city, fall lik e in the sense that the wind wouldn't sop blwoing. A figure moved carefully in the cityscape, trying not to atract the attention of anyone. His blue green hair outdid him though, catching the attention of the nearest KG.
"There he is! Its that Jaythen Kairey. GET HIM!" A few untis took up the chase, folling him even though he was quick. He tried to outrun them, but that was no use. He would never manage it in the condition her was in. Barely a week since he escaped the prison, and they were still tailing him.
He turned down an alley, tryng to lose them in the maze of houses. It seemed to work for a moment, until a red dot sprouted on his chest. The laser targeter from ahellcat had him in his sigts. Withut thinking he moved as the heat of the blast rolled over him. He ran, as fast as he could manage, and jumped through a doorway into a house. His shoulder and knee gave way, old bullet wounds having never been properly healed.
He sighed, hearing the sirens leaving him. Maybe for the moment he was safe. That is, safe until the ownder of the house came hom.

Kait tapped on the screen. The house was supposed to be empty. It had been scheduled for demolition a week ago as part of an entire district that had been deemed a danger to the city, and now there was apparently someone inside it. Regardless of what her nature told her, she was under orders not to demolish the house if there was someone inside it. It would blow her cover if she refused. She had spent months building up this separate persona for the KG, and refused to lose it all to her own reluctance to investigate a blip on a life monitor.
She sighed loudly, and alerted the commander who was in control of the operation for the day.
There appears to be someone in the house, Sir. I can go and check, but otherwise we can’t demolish the house.
Her commander grunted angrily. It had been a long day already, and he hated to delay things any further. He waved his hand at her, motioning for her to go and look around.
“Give the order when you are safely out of range, and we will restart the operation. We will be watching you from here.”
He motioned at the life monitor again, and Kait nodded, jogging off in the direction of the house.
Unfortunately, because of safety distance, the house was almost half a mile away, making it an extreme inconvenience to have to walk all the way there. Eventually, Kait arrived at the front door, and leaned on it with her shoulder to open it. At first glance, there was no one in the house, but on a second look over, there was indeed someone inside. She raised an eyebrow. On the way there, she had passed a group of loud and angry KG officers that had saluted her hastily then run off again, in a hurry to be someplace, babbling about an escapee. The only person that had escaped from the Baron’s prisons in over three years was a man with blue-green hair. Similar to the hair on the man she was looking at now.
I’m not here to arrest you. This building is scheduled for demolition, but we are order bound not to demolish the building until all civilians are out of the area. You are obviously a civilian, so we need to go.
Kait noticed, upon second glance, that he was hurt, and sighed to herself. First she had to run away from an operation, and now she was going to help an escaped prisoner out of a building that was about to explode.
Come on.
She held out her hand to help him up.
We have to leave. But you can tell me all about it on the way out of here.
It was going to be a long day.

He looked up, jumping up at the sound of the womans voice.
"I’m not here to arrest you. This building is scheduled for demolition, but we are order bound not to demolish the building until all civilians are out of the area. You are obviously a civilian, so we need to go." His face turned into a grimace as he looked up at her. He concentrated his eco just in case he needed it. But somethying told him that he most likely wouldn't. Then she continued talking. She wanted to to know what happened. Maybe she knew who he wwas? He had a feelingt hat this woman had passed the group of KG that had been chasing him. He looked away, hair covering his face. His gold eyes were closed, thinking quickly.
He slowly got up, trying to ignore the pain in his shoulder and leg. At some point he was ging to have to have a healer look at it. But that would be after the alarms were off and the KG stopped looking for him. His eye moved to the woman. She seemed okay..for a KG. He wasn't sure if he could trust her, but at the mmnet it was his oly option.
" You look sensible Miss. How about we skip storytime." He said to her. He wasn't in the mood to talk any more than he had to. Jaythen walked toward the door. If this house was about to get demo'ed he definitely did not want to be inside.
