Drawing Contest - April 2010Welcome to April's drawing contest. This contest theme is going to be Easter. Rules- You cannot vote for yourself.
- You can only post one image.
- It has to be drawn by you, and only you.
- The content of the art must be DE characters. If you use characters other then your own you must receive permission from the creator of the character(s) first.
- Do not ask for comments or critique within this thread – save that for the actual "Artist Corner" board. Of course, you are still allowed to discuss the contest within this thread. BUT, keep discussions civilized – don’t let debates explode into flaming.
- Each month’s contest will be posted within the first five days of the month, and users are given exactly 20 days from the date of the thread to submit their entries. Voting will be done by both users and staff at the contest's end. Users are to pick their favorites, then will pick between the top three (or however many) submissions.
The winners will be announced in each Monthly Highlights thread. Now lets see those drawings.

 Yeah, so, not my best, but It's competition for Paladin. It isn't very good, and scanned horribly, but I figured I would post it because I figured it would be fair for Paladin to have some competition. I most likely won't win the competition, but that's not really what this is for, anyway. I just kind of liked the way it came out in real life and figured I would post it. As for the explanation for what it actually is, it's a metalhead egg. Being painted for Easter. Because even they decorate eggs. They have families too. Yeah, some of the splashed of color are going through the egg just because I started this drawing as something else, then turned it into an entry for this. Meh, I hope you all like it anyway. |

YEA! I has competition!!! Thank you, I really would have felt uncomfortable being the only entry in the contest. Next month we must strive for even MORE epic! As in MORE pictures from everybody! Also, very nice with the colors...I suck at colors...  |

I agree! I think everyone should try to enter something, even if they think it isn't fantastic. That way we can see what everyone produces, and not just a few people. I like community stuff like that. Anyway, I'm definitely out for next month, too much studying to do, but after that I should be golden. Then there's the issue of college. I might have to be completely absent for a loooooong time at that point, but we're not there yet, so we'll wait until we get there. ^^

I bought mine for a dollar at a garage sale. And certainly for a dollar scanner, it works fine. You should be able to find one that works at a thrift store if you really need one and don't want to pay a lot of money for it. I didn't want to buy a new one because i knew windows 7 was coming out, and I have Vista on my laptop, and didn't want to worry about the day Microsoft decides it can make more money by not making things backwards compatible. Anyway, there is art of yours on here, how did you get that posted? |
