I didn't know where to put this, as it does sort of have to do with the RP, but not really.
Anyway, I've seen that on some other RP sites, they have kind of awards that they give out every so often, in various categories, and I thought that maybe we should implement something like that here. Keep in mind, I have not spoken to any of the admins about this, this is just me thinking though words, and I just wanted to know if you all would want to do this.
The idea is that every week or month or whatever, a certain number of people are nominated to win a very small prize (10 or 15 orbs and maybe a cool color for their name?) and then after a number of people have been nominated (five? ten?) everyone can vote over several days to see who will win the prize.
Some of the categories I have seen are thing like: best RP thread, most detailed character, most active user, best post, most skilled writer, etc. Things like that. I think it would be cool to have a thread with separate topic for each category, then the first five or ten names that are posted (you can't nominate yourself, obviously) would be voted upon at the end of a certain amount of time, then they get a small prize.
I just thought that would be cool, and it would give everyone more of a motivation to post more and improve their writing.
If you guys think it's a good idea, I can appeal to the admins, and we can see how it goes, but if not, that's OK too.
