Era: World Without End
Name: Gorick
Age: 28
Sex: Male
Species: Snow Lurker
Appearance: There is only one word truly capable of describing one such as Gorick. . . Massive. Standing nearly eight feet tall on both feet and weighing in at just under four hundred pounds of sheer muscle, he is easily one of the most intimidating things alive. A heavy coat of long white hair covers the majority of his body with the exception of his chest, feet and palms. The skin in these areas are blue-grey in color and have the texture of hardened leather. A pair of four inch long tusks rise up from his prominent lower jaw and his eyes, though never actually seen from beneath a shaggy curtain of hair, shine a bright yellow.
With the exception of some heavy grey work pants and pair of boots, custom made to fit his enormous feet, Gorick wears little in the way of actual clothes. When the need arises, however, he does have a set of gun-metal grey home-made armor. It consists of only two large studded pauldrons, held in place bay a pair of black leather straps that cross his chest, and a heavy bracer to cover his right forearm. His entire left arm, on the other hand, is covered by his pride and joy. . . a giant hydraulic power gauntlet. It's piston driven glory continues up his arm to just below the elbow, where a series of industrial strength tubing cover the distance to his left pauldron.
Posture: Though he likes to stand at his full height for the sheer intimidation factor, Gorick can most often be found with his knuckles to the floor, a whole lot like a gorilla.
Personality: Gorick holds an abundance of pride for his lurker ancestors and little tolerance for the unfair treatment that mankind has so ruthlessly handed down to the once proud species. It is for just this reason, along with the fact that he was held against his will as a slave for a large portion of his life, that he maintains something of a dislike for humans in general. He also has absolutely no patience for idiots and will not hesitate to let them know precisely that. . . with emphasis.
Occupation: Gorick works as a race mechanic for the one and only human being that he can actually stand to be around for any extended period of time, Kendra Valius. She doesn't treat him like a slave and he doesn't treat her like a piece of beef jerky. . . It's a good relationship.
Skills and abilities: Aside from the fact that he can lift a freaking car above his head, Gorick also seems to understand even the most complex principles of mechanics on an almost instinctual level. It is this talent that has allowed him to create such marvels as Kendra's speacialized Kras racing motorcycle and his own hydraulic power guantlet.
Weapons: A massive hydraulic power guantlet that takes up the majority of his left arm and is capable of multiplying his already considerable strength by almost double!
History: Born to dying breed, Gorick is one of the only known snow lurkers to survive both the metal head invasion and human enslavement. That is not to say, however, that he escaped perfectly unscathed. At a young age, both Gorick and his parents were captured by the KG and transported to Haven as slaves. His father, once a proud lurker warrior, could never accept life in a cage and attempted to lead a bloody revolt against their captors. It did not turn out to his advantage. While many a pathetic human was killed, a large number of the slaves were also slaughtered. Gorick's parents were both among them. By this time, however, the young lurker had grown and matured into a force to be reckoned with, both physically and mentally. He would wait and he would plot. It took several years for that particular plot to finally come to fruition. . . It was worth it. In the middle of a shift change, Gorick managed to break open the door to his prison and fight his way through the suprised guards. He showed as much mercy as they had showed his own people. Thier bodies scattered before him like leaves in the wind and he took thier skulls for trophies. At long last he was free. Now, however, he was faced with something of a delimma. His entire village had been wiped out in the KG's initial raid. How could he possibly live in this human dominated society? That's when an idea struck. In his long years of slavery, the huge lurker had learned of an almost unnatural talent for mechanics. Finally, that knowledge would pay off. By heading to Kras, he managed to both escape persecution as an escaped slave and find a rather well paying job as a race mechanic. He is currently employed by Kendra Valius and, though you'll never hear it from him in person, actually seems to be getting along with her. She's not too bad. . . for a human.
