Sidney was huddled into a corner deep in the alleys of the city, his arms around his legs. He shivered violently, not from cold, but from the act that transpired only moments ago. He remembered images of Krimson Guard on the ground and lifeless around him, accompanied by the echoing maniacal laughter of his other side.
"This is beauty! What the city calls for isn't salvation but destruction!"
His words repeated over and over in Sidney's head, making him so close to a breakdown that he had to find a secluded area where no one could be hurt if he lost control. Sidney couldn't even see in front of him, the image of dead bodies flashing in his eyes every time he opened them. The shivering wouldn't calm down soon, and neither would the desire to end it all now. The white revolver was resting on the ground next to him, the gun promised to end his life. In this state, Sidney finally realized something. Why do I delay it so much? Is there really any means of fixing this? Why wait until then to end my life? This endless torture... It would be easier just to take it all away now.
The white revolver fit snugly in his right hand as he lifted the barrel up to his head. He held it against his temple, closing his eyes. The idea of death had a calming effect on him. His shivering started to subside as he readied to pull the trigger. "Rather than live a life of genocide... I will not allow you to harm anyone else." The hammer pulled back slowly.

A jolt went through Sidney's body, followed by shivering. He opened his eyes wide, his mouth hanging open. He was still alive, and uninjured. The gun's chamber had been empty.

He pulled the trigger three more times. Nothing. Then a laugh brewed inside his head. Sidney tried to ignore it as he pulled the trigger two more times.

The laughter was even greater and Sidney was now pulling the trigger endlessly just trying to drown it out. "We can't have that, now can we?! I still have a lot more I want to do! I'm afraid your desire for death comes into conflict with my desires, so I can't let you try to kill yourself anymore!" The gun hit the ground and Sidney tilted on his side, curling up. His shivering returned, except became more violent than before.
"Please... Someone... Anyone... Just kill me..."
