As of recent there has been a problem with the Role-playing. The problem consists with a couple of things. First is the content of the Role-plays, and second is the number of threads being made for Role-plays. Both of which are linked to each other. So the staff has been putting their heads together for a while now, and the following is the solution that the staff has come up with.
From here on out all Role-playing threads must be approved by a member of the staff before they can be used for a Role-play.
This works by hiding all threads in a Role-playing board from view of the membership until a member of the staff approves the thread. If the staff chooses not to approve the thread the creator of the thread will receive a PM explaining why the thread was not approved. If you've created a Role-play and it is not approved and there is not reason given then please send a PM to a member of the staff, there's a good possibility that the staff has not seen the thread yet.
If the staff chooses not to approve a Role-play there could be several reasons. First, and the most common reason has to do with the story. The first post of a Role-play must contain detains of the setting, the plot line, and the OP's character's initial actions to the plot line. Second deals with the number of Role-play threads that an individual is involved in. Members can not be involved in a dozen RPs, doing so spreads the imagination far too thin as well as creates a situation that forces members to rush their posts in order to move on to the next story. All that this does is cause every Role-play that the member is involved with to suffer. So, we'll be moving in an experimental stage, where every member is only allowed to be involved in one Private Role-play with each other member. If you and another member wish to move to a new PRP then you need to resolve the story of the old one first.
Now, this will not effect current Role-plays. Since the current RPs have already been established it wouldn't really be fair to shut down the excess RPs. So, we'll allow the current RPs to run as is, and as they begin to fade out they'll be replaced by RPs the fall under the new rule.
Thank you, and be on the look out for more updates.
