Since Poems are rather short, Shakespearean novels excluded, I thought I would make a gallery rather than separate threads. ^_^ Here are two haikus I wrote from last year. Black cat was inspired by my cat, Darci, and Green leaves was inspired by the trees at my park. Black CatKeep it entertained With whatever you might have The cat is playful. Green LeavesI stare at the leaves Covering my eyes with shade I can still see light. This next poem is a free verse poem, so it's one of my specific style. Has Anyone Told You?
Has anyone ever told you,
how beautiful you are?
How beautiful your eyes are?
Such beauty is your hair.
Has anyone ever told you,
how lucky I am?
How lucky to have you?
Such luck is your love.
Has anyone ever told you,
how much I love you?
How I love your smile?
Such love must be true. More poems are on the way! |

You always do write such lovely poetry. Glad to see you sharing it rather than stowing it all away on your laptop.  I really love the haiku about the leaves. I can just see it now. ^^ |

What's That, Man?
What's that lurking in the corner, man?
Somebody coming around that corner, man.
I can just hear the chainsaw buzzing now.
The chanting echoing from the chapel, man.
What's that coming after ya, man?
Something out of this world, isn't it, man?
Listen for the panting from the cage now.
The monsters coming from the other room, man.
What's that in the distance now, man?
Could it be the big bad boys out there, man?
Try to stay alive with big guns for now.
The big bad boys took the damsel away, man.
What's that swinging by the window, man?
Is it that part of you that you hate, man?
Try to catch the lady in red, right now.
Always try to get some answers from her, man.
What's that screaming your name, man?
Leon! Leon! Help, Leon! Is it, man?
Fight the baddies to get her home now.
Take out the island in the process, right, man?
Who's that ugly guy looking at you, man?
Is it that bad, bad, bad guy, Saddler, man?
One hit kill. One hit kill. Do it right now!
Now the island's gonna blow up. Go man!
Where's the next boulder gonna fall now, man?
Better think fast or it boom boom time, man.
Left! Right! Center! Left! Left! Right! No time now.
Just got out in the nick of time. Cool man!

I write poems all the time, but i have never shared it with any one, nice to see your brave enough. Great poems actually, make more  , please  . i like the longer ones more then the short and who did you write the has anyone ever told you thing for. |

Oh, my boyfriend. On here I'll just call him TNT, seeing as he only plays games with huge explosions. XD
EDIT: I broke up with my boyfriend. xD Turns out he had been cheating on me for three months. But I told his new girlfriend about it and she dumped him. Haha, payback. Anyhow, 'Has Anyone Ever Told You' is now just a general love poem.
