The Rock

Etrius walled along a white beach, his white robes waving in the breeze while his boots lifted up small clouds of dust. His long sword hung at his side.
Blue green waves washed up next to him, there white foamy crests splashing gently against the sand. Kneeling he picked up a large sea shell that had washed up. Examining it he felt the smooth soft pink interior. Seeing the shell was vacant he placed it too his ear, hearing the ocean inside and out.
Closing his eyes he let the soothing sound engulf him as the ocean waves washed farther up until it was around his feet. The smell of sea salt filled his senses as did the crisp clean air of the island.
A warm breeze sprung up, blowing away the sea salt to replace the aroma with that of fruit and tropical flowers.
All seemed serene and peaceful....for now.

Karras drops onto the sandy beach from a rock outcropping a few feet above. Looking past the man in white garb he spots what he had come out to the small island for. A lone powercell rests in sandy surf at the other end of th beach, the salts water splashing against the small artifact as the surf roles in and out, "Perfect" He says to himself just before finally noticing the man in white that stands between him and the powercell, his smile quickly dropping to a frown. If I'm lucky he wont even notice and I can get the powercell without conflict, he thinks as he begins to walk towards Etrius.

Opening his eyes Etrius begins to look around some more. He couldn't remember exactly why he had come here. It seemed to peaceful to have any importance to him except as maybe a nice vacation spot.
Looking around he noticed a small powercell sitting in the sand, half burried but slowly being uncoverd by the rolling waves.
"Ah, that was why I came here," he said to himself walking to the powercell, sea shell still on his ear. Once more the breeze changed, washing away the smell of fruit and flowers to return with the smell of sea salt.

"Ah crap!" Karras exclaims softly when Etrius turns and walks over to the powercell. With a quick and sudden burst of blue eco Karras dashes towards Etrius and the powercell, clouds of sand and dust flying a few feet into the air from his feet. Once near Etrius, he drops to the sand, sliding into the powercell, "Sorry buddy, but this one's mine." He says, scooping the powercell up with his out stretched left hand just before planting his feet so that his momentum would pull him up from the ground.

Etrius ignores the new man that walked up, keeping his focus on Karras and the power cell in his hands.
"Sorry pal, but I believe I saw that first so thus the term finders keepers comes into play. So hand it over. I need it for some important work. So if you'll be so kind," Etrius says politely, holding out a gloved leather hand. His other hand held onto the other shell, still making its peaceful ocean ambiance in his ear.
Green blue waves rushed up around their feet, the breakers sending a fresh smell of sea salt into the air. Sand from Karras's mad dash floated around in the air, carried away in the breeze as a seagulls piercing cry echoed from a distant corner of the island.

Syia was minding her own business trying to look for rare items on geyser rock.But the power cell seemed to catch her eye.Walking up to 3 men glaring at the active powercell."Ah I see that you two are fighting over the cell.She gazed at the orb from Karras's hand and examined it."Ah...very rare from a regular orb..this one seems much brighter than the rest,which means it has more energy..I think the total value is...100 million precursor orbs,Amazing..."Syia said flicking off the bits of sand that was on it.Even if it was in Karras's hands.

"One hundred million huh?" Karras says to the women as he moves the powercell a little farther from her reach, not taking his eyes off of Etrius, Perhaps I should just sell the powercell to her, considering that no one in their right mind would ever pay a hundred million for it. The best that these things have ever gone for is three hundred orbs, and even that's a rare pay off. He thinks to himself as he wonders way Etrius has a shell to his ear.

"Sorry buddy, but going off your logic this powercell is still mine since I was headed over here to get it while you still had your head in the clouds with that shell of yours." Karras snaps at Etrius, ignoring the distraction of the newcomer asking questions, Far to may people here... He thinks as he takes a step back, dropping his right hand to his side for a quicker draw of the gun holster out of view, behind him.

With a small grin Etrius steps forward, keeping near Karras. "I would have to disagree since I didn't see you, so how could I know that you had seen it first? I couldn't nor do I really care. Now just hand it over and their will be no trouble."
Etrius holds out his empty hand, giving it a small twitch to emphasize that Karras should put the power cell in that hand. His other hand kept the sea shell to his ear, which gave him some amusement after Karras had glanced at it. Come on make the first move, I dare you, Etrius thinks to himself.
Once more Etrius steps forward even closer to Karras as an ocean wave washes back up around them, leaving sea foam cleanging to their pants and boots.

"No trouble? You're a pretty cocky one..." Karras says, taking a step back, "The only trouble that's going to come is if you don't leave. And just because you're too blind to see someone a few yards away don't give you rights to this powercell." He says with a bit of a smirk as he takes another step back, trying to keep Etrius out of arms reach, "So, are you going to leave? Or do I have to make you?"

Syia looked at Karras..then at Etrius and cocked a brow and moved back.She could feel the warm breeze.And the fresh sea water at her feet,thinking about how it would be polluted with fresh human blood.
