New and Improved art contests

I have some idea for some art challenges and they would be set in multiple categories, such as a COW(Creature of the Week), CHOW(Character of the Week), and Enviroment of the Week. For a better idea check out Conceptart.org. This should give you a better idea of what I'm thinking of doing.
May change them to where they are more monthly but I'll wait and see what you all have to say first.
There would be a voting and winner may recieve some reward such as orbs for their hard work.

Also I thought about starting a basic arts class. I'm not the best at art but I have experience in teaching and I'm pretty good with several of the basic that are needed for good art. Plus I've had a few college level classes in drawing, so that always helps.
I was thinking I would start with teaching how to draw the human body. It would deal mostly with proportions, muscle structure, and placing a characterinto a certain stances with balance and motion.

well I would love it if you could teach me ^_^... I have a tablet, skype, and a studio level microphone if that helps

About the contests- I'm liking this Idea, can't wait to see it, surely be entering.

You know I hadn't thought about Skype lessons but that would be something! I still need to go and get a new pen for my current tablet...makes me sad that I haven't played with it in like a year and a half...

I think right now I really want to know what would be easiest on people to get their art done, a week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, a month, that is really my big concern. It seemed like the last time there was an art contest people had trouble getting their art finished for submission...

I would say maybe 1 month would be fine. I have access to a tablet as well and I wouldn't mind offering some help if people would like to learn how to do pixel art. We could always do livestreams to show people how to do things. I see people do it on DA all the time.

I am also familiar with some digital painting but for now I'm going to work on basics, just as with figure drawing. Your welcome though to show off stuff on how to do some digital work. As for livestream I never even thought of that though I currently have no way to do that.
As for 1 month then we can stick with that or even half a month if enough prefer such things. I would rather recieve a good turn out from a longer entry time then no turn out from a short entry.
