After two annoying days of trying to figure out Gimp, I have managed to put together something that I felt was too long in coming. Ladies and Gentlemen, the KG Special Operations Unit Patch!

Hm, very nice. I think though, since it is just a design go ahead and make it look filled out and less like cloth. Also the border around the shield of the badge would look awesome with the krimson guard red in my opinion!
I may have to copy this and mess around with it in photoshop...oh...wait...WHY DID I HAVE TO LOSE THE PEN FOR MY TABLET!!!!FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!

Thank you, Kelinna, and Paladin you have an eye for what I'm going for, but to be honest I have no idea how to make the whole thing look 'whole' or 'clothlike' at this point! And no way to do the border either - I don't exactly have a steady hand, and the fill tool won't work either. You can see on the ribbon part of it where I -very- poorly tried to cover up the gaps that resulted from making the ribbon picture transparent...I can see a lot of room for improvement, but I've pretty much reached the limit of my skill. Feel free to play around with the image if you want, but I'm done with it for now.
