Era: Baron's Corruptionto World Without End
Name: Veronica Lorenzo
Sex: Female
Age:
Baron's Corruption-thirty-two
Fall of Haven-thrity-thirty-five
World Without End-thirty-seven
Appearance: Veronica is five foot, eight inches tall and a slim, muscular one hundred and forty-five pounds.
Her long, honey colored hair reaches passed her shoulders and is usually braided down her back or in a knot on top of her head. Her hazel eyes are usually stern, as are her facial features, but they easily could turn into a friendly face to someone she cares about.
As she has lived near the Wastelands, she usually wears shorts, a tank top, and a light, sleeveless vest.
Veronica's tanned body contains few, but disastrous scars. A puckered slash runs across her right knee cap. A scar from a third degree burn lies on her left forearm and elbow, which she tries to keep covered with either gauze bandages or a longer sleeve. Her most recently acquired scar is a silvery, thin scar that lies vertically on her face, starting under her right eye and stopping at the corner of her mouth.
Posture: Veronica walks with elegance and grace. When she is moving, she captivates people with her poise.
Personality: During her childhood, Veronica had been serious, but loving to the people she cared about, much like her father. She had always been in a maternal position, and shows her love in a gruff manner. Veronica has a feeling of duty and her actions show it.
Upon meeting and befriending her future husband Marcus, a large burden was lifted off her shoulders and she became less gruff toward her loved ones.
However, upon witnessing her husband's death and assuming her daughter's death, Veronica became reserved and maybe a bit depressed, but she never let these feelings consume her. Currently, Veronica is still reserved, trying to bare the sorrow of the loss of her loved ones, and occupying herself with physical activities to distract herself.
Occupation: Veronica had always been at her father's side at his forge. Her father was a master forger, retireing when Veronica was a young adult. He made knives and blades for the Krimson Guard, and Veronica has followed in her father's footsteps, owning her own forge in Haven City.
Abilities/Skills: Her most treasured skill is her skill at metalwork, a source of passion and income. She takes pride in the fact she can make a weapon or piece of armor quickly and well. Veronica knows how to fight enough to protect herself and is very well versed with the blades she makes.
Powers: Veronica has yellow eco powers.
Weapons: As a forger, Veronica is constantly surrounded by weapons and she is very passionate about using them. Besides the weapons accessible at her workplace, Veronica carries a sole dagger at her hip, which was a wedding gift to her from her father. With a thin, six inch blade, it is only useful for tight or desperate situations.
Relationships: Since the death of her husband and the assumed death of her daughter, Veronica can only come to her immediate family which includes her father, Fabron, two younger brothers and youngest sister.
History: Veronica was born in Haven City, where her father worked making weapons for the Krimzon Guard.
She has three younger siblings, her two younger brothers Tobin and Jonas and her sister Ivory.
When Veronica was nine, her mother and fourth sibling died as Veronica's mother was giving birth.
This caused the whole house hold grief, but especially Veronica's father. Veronica saw this and as oldest, tried to fill the spot her mother had left empty.
Between helping raise her siblings, she found time to join her father in the forge, where he made weapons for the Krimson Guard. She was his assistant and company, and Veronica's father taught her how to be safe and responsible in the forges.
Despite this, in an uncharacteristic rash movement, Veronica was scorched about her left elbow by a hot sheet of metal. It made her temporarily weary of the forges, but once the burn healed, leaving nothing but an ugly scar, she returned to her father's work place.
However humble Veronica believed her beginnings were, her family was important to the KG and was an object of interest to the Underground. Thinking perhaps that Fabron would act as a double agent, supply the Underground with their own weapons, or somehow help their effort, they approached him. He refused without hesitation, staying loyal to his clients.
Feeling taken aback, the Underground attempted a raid on the shipment of weapons supposed to be leaving the forge. Veronica, at age fifteen and the female head of the family, helped her brothers and father defend it, and earned a slash on her knee that left her immobile for weeks.
Seeing the danger of his occupation, Fabron decided it was mandatory for him to protect his family. He retired, and moved his entire family near the Wastelands, where he was not bothered by the Krimzon Guard or Underground.
Two years later, Veronica met her future husband Marcus. He was an artifact hunter, passing through where Veronica and her family were living in. For Marcus it was love at first sight, but it took Veronica more time to make the feelings mutual.
After getting married, the newlyweds decided to move closer to Haven City, a great distance from Veronica's family. Their busy lives kept them from seeing each other, and Monica never personally knew her mother's family.
The night their town was destroyed by Metalheads, Veronica stood beside her husband in the attempt to protect their daughter. However, when Marcus was killed, Veronica ran from the Metalheads, loosing them in the chaos. She stopped and hid that night, preparing to find her daughter in the morning. By the time Veronica woke up and traveled back, she and her daughter had missed each other by minutes.
Depressed and defeated, she went back to her father, re-cooperating from her broken heart.
With the help of her father and siblings, she had the confidence to move on and tried to make a new life for herself in Haven City. She bought herself a forge whose smith had retired, and plans to start over. The last thing she would expect was that her ghosts would follow her to this new place.
