Haven. Empty of the retreating Haven citizens that have fled for cover, overtaken by the slimy Metal head population. Blown all to Hell. Most of the human population was smart enough to stay out of the city, key word being most. Rayne wasn't. It wasn't that she was stupid, she just enjoyed danger. That's how her and Shane differed. She looked for trouble, he fixed it.
Rayne slid sneakily into an alley, one of the few that was empty. She traveled down the alley and onto a fire escape. Rayne climbed the fire escape quick. Ever squeak and groan of the old metal made her look around. Finally, she went to an open window and swung herself in. She landed gracefully and silently with a quick glance up.
Rayne looked around for any sign of movement. Haven was crawling with Metal heads, so she was extremely cautious. Rayne sat down on a couch in the darkness. Then she heard a low chuckle and froze with fear. She couldn't move because she was afraid to do anything.
Rayne wished she could scream. She wished she could run, but she was utterly and completely frozen in the spot she was sitting.
(Jynx ends up kidnapping Rayne. Jace and Shane try and go after her, but run into problems with metalheads and whatever else may happen happens.)

Stupid Metalheads, stupid worthless KG, stupid people in general. The only reason the Metalheads had taken over was because the KG had wimps in their squads. One of which being...Shane. What a tool! Jace sat in an abandoned house watching as a few Metalheads walked around just outside. He was bored and didn't want to be stuck with his sister or Shane anymore and Valla was busy so he had nothing better to do. As he stared out the window, covered by complete darkness, he spotted a flash of copper hair flying about as a figure snuck around. Damn it Rayne! Jace thought to himself.
He smirked when an evil plan formed in his head. He slipped back into a dark corner of the room and hid himself well. Being an assassin helped on the whole silence thing. He waited for her to enter, knowing that she was headed towards an empty room. He smiled when she slung herself in and looked around for anyone that may be hiding in the shadows. To Jace's relief she had not caught him. That's when he let out a quiet chuckle.
He noticed Rayne freeze and he rolled his eyes. He snuck up behind her and bent down to kiss her cheek, "Relax Rayney, it's just me." He whispered softly adding another light chuckle. Jace hugged her gently and went around the couch to sit beside her. Rayne seemed really freaked out and Jace knew he shouldn't have scared her like that, but hey it was a good opportunity...who could he not take it?
Rayne was Jace's favorite of the Masters twins. She may not have been able to talk, but she said a lot with her eyes and posture. She hated sign language so for some people it was difficult to understand her. Except her brother...and Jace. It was a gift Jace had gotten, probably from studying people for so long. He needed to be able to tell if someone was bluffing or lying so he watched expressions. Rayne was very expressive, she was funny and smarter than Shane by a long shot, but that's not why Jace liked her so much. No, he liked her because she was adventurous and wasn't afraid of every little thing like her twin was.

Cardian moved through a pile of rubble. He was in Haven because he was the only trooper willing to hunt for survivors, his family where outside the city, safe for now. He continued on his weapon drawn. He heard growling off to his left but when he looked for the source he found a chihuahua standing over its owners corpse. He moved swiftly onwards, avoiding several metalheads. What he didn't notice was a Metalhead Gecko preparing to jump on his back, until that is it happened. He heard a slight scraping sound just as i leapt at him.
he spun and emptied his carbines clip into the thing and smiled at its sequels of pain.
After that Cardian continued to walk around sneakily. He stopped when he heard a human voice coming from an apartment. He quickly located a fire escape adjacent to the specific apartment.
He climbed almost silently and winced with every creak. He went to an open window and peeked inside. He saw a guy and a girl there he was just about to say something when heard the hunting calls of a metal head pack. He jumped inside a quick as he could.
