Today we have some pretty big news for the Dystopiatic Eco community. As many may have noticed DE was down for maintenance for a few hours just a few minuets ago. The reasons for which I will get to in just a moment, but first I'm excited and proud to announce that DE has reached it's 3rd year, as of two days ago (January 10th). It has been an amazing three years and I'd like to thank all of the awesome members for making this so. Lets make this year even more awesome then the past three.
Now, as for the maintenance, this is due to some work that the staff has been doing on a new Role-play submission system. As some have noticed we have been experiencing some difficulty with the previous submission system that required staff approval of RPs, the most noticeable of which being the disappearance of RPs.
Unfortunately there is currently nothing that can be done about the RPs that have disappeared. Luckily all post counts and orbs earned from participation in RPs that have disappeared are still part of everyone's profiles, but the stories are no longer available. We apologize for the inconvenience, if we find a way to return these RPs to the site we will be sure to get to work as soon as possible.
Of course, with the removal of the old system we have developed a new system. The creation of new RPs from this point forward will be done by posting the opening of the RP on the main board for either the Main RPs or Private RPs. When creating a new RP please read the RP Creation Guide that is available at the top of both the MRP and PRP boards. Also, as of now the era RP boards are no longer open for RP creation, as new RPs will be moved from the main board to the appropriate era board upon approval.
Aside from the removal of the coding that was causing many different glitches and problems for the RPs there are a couple of other advantages to the new system. The first is that new RPs can be revisited and edited by the individual who created it, and the second is that the RPs will be viewable by everyone and open for discussion in the RP General board.
I hope that everyone has enjoyed the last year on DE and that you all will enjoy the new RP submission system. Thanks you and be on the look out for more exciting news.
