Private Role-play Submission Guide Private Role-plays are the sub plot lines developed on Dystopiatic Eco. These are the RPs that each and every member of DE is permitted to Role-play with specific individual(s) of their choosing without worry of interruption from other members/characters. The thread's title must have an original name for the Role-play. This will make it easier for others to find the RP when searching for it later on. Please indicate in the title whether or not you're finished working on the opening post of the RP. Keeping this up-to-date will help the staff to know whether or not to look at the RP for acceptance value. If you do not indicate that you are done with the opening, the RP may not be moved to the RP boards. If you'd like to use the RP it is up to you to let the staff know that you are done working on the opening post. When indicating completion or work-in-progress, please use the following tags at the beginning of the title (ie in front of the RP's name). [W] - Work-in-Progress [C] - Complete Please indicate the era of the RP. That is what time frame in which the story takes place. To indicate this please use name or abbreviation of the era at the end of the title (ie after the character's name). This is rather important to be placed in the tile as this is what informs the staff which era the RP belongs, when/if the RP is approved. [ more information on eras in the following post] The opening post is the most important part of a Role-play. This is the point in an RP in which the entire plot and setting of the RP is developed. So the opening much be very descriptive with these two elements. If the staff can not determine the setting and the plot of the RP when reading the opening post it will not be approved for Role-play.

On Dystopiatic Eco the Role-playing boards are separated by time rather then location since the Jak & Daxter series takes place over a vast period of time. This is adventurous in several ways. First off it allows a member to continue to Role-play with a character even after that character has died. This is done because the character though dead remains alive in past RPs, so a member is able to use a dead character in RPs that take place in eras before their character's demises. This set up also allows members to hold a single thread for the duration of an entire story line, rather then forcing them to jump from board to board every time they change locations. This helps to keep everything clean and organized as well as convenient for the membership.
The Eras: Birth of a Legacy (BL/Gen1): Birth of a Legacy takes place hundreds of years before the first game. This time period is at the pinnacle of the Precursors' power, durring the golden years of their reign over the world and during the time of mid-evil/barbaric human culture.
The Chronicles of Mar (CM/Gen2): The Chronicles of Mar is set during and after the first game, The Precursor Legacy. The golden reign of the Precursors has long since pasted away, leaving the fate of the planet in the hands of the human race and one brave warrior know as Mar to protect ot from the evils that are the Lurkers and a new, stronger enemy, know as the Metalheads.
Baron's Corruption (BC/Gen3): Baron's Corruption takes place during Jak 2, aproxamitally five hundred years after The Chronicles of Mar began. The evil Baron Praxos rules over Haven City with an iron fist. Using fear and intimidation to force his will upon the people of Haven City, the Baron works to destroy the Underground, the only resistance to his authority. Haven begins to crumble as a three sided war rages amongst the Krimson Guard, the Underground, and the Metalheads.
The Fall of Haven (FH/Gen4): The Fall of Haven tanks place during Jak 3, four years after the beginning of Baron's Corruption. Haven City experiences a short period of prosperity after the fall of Baron Praxis. However corruption lies in the new found republic that rules Haven. Sabotage of the Senet headquarters forces Jak into exiled to the Waistlands. In his absence Haven falls to ruin as the Metalheads overrun the city, aided by two new foes, the KG Bots and the terror of the universe, the Darkmakers. Sworn enemy of the Precursors, the Darkmakes seek nothing other then the total destruction of the Precursors and their creations, and Earth is their next target.
World Without End (WWE/Gen5): World Without End is set during Jak X, two years after the beginning of The Fall of Haven and continues on to the end of time. The world and especially Haven City begin the slow process of rebuilding and reconstructing what was lost in the mass attack of the Darkmakers. Though mostly a peaceful time there are small factions of Metalheads and Darkmakers that remain as a constant threat to progress and life itself. Peace never lasts forever. Destruction and chaos eventually consumes all...
