The chilling air brushed past the black vinyl curtains into a small bedroom. In the small twin sized bed with no blankets on him, laid a sweating, shirtless, and restless Jace. He tossed and turned.
The breeze was frigid and biting at his exposed cheeks. His eyes were bright with fury and pure rage. A tall figure stood in front of him. A woman with long legs and long brown hair smirked; her teeth were slightly yellowed with a large gap in between her two front teeth. Jace's hands clenched into two tight fists, his knuckles going white from the tension.
"You made me into this monster! Why shouldn't I kill you, you knew I'd be back. You trained me to be a cold murderer with no emotions, no sign of guilt, well it will come in handy after I kill you, Salvat. Along with your two cohorts, Remstrom, Hicks...you're next." Jace snarled nodding in the direction of the two others that had come to the scene.
"My dear Jace, you can't kill me, I'm your sister. Jacey please don't hurt me. “The girl blurred before Jace's eyes, from his enemy, to his own flesh and blood, Raven. He glanced to the sides and watched the other two blur form into Julius and Isabel.
Jace’s face softened to horror and pain, “I won’t hurt you Rae, I promise.” He reached for her hand, but she collapse on the ground, a scarlet puddle surrounded her. Jace crumpled in pain beside her. When he looked up he saw Isabel, Julius and his mother lying on the street dead. He heard a loud clap of thunder and rain began to fall steadily.
Jace jolted up trembling in the small bed. His golden hair clung to his forehead covering his eyes. Jace turned his head towards the window and noticed that it was storming outside. He looked at the clock that read 5:23a.m.
Jace got up; his lightly tanned skin glistened with a cold sweat. He went to the window and shut it with a loud thump. Then he walked over to his dresser and pulled open a drawer. He picked out a soft black long-sleeved cotton shirt and pulled it over his head. He passed the mirror and saw himself covered in blood. He forced his eyes closed and opened them slowly, the image disappeared. He pulled on his shoes and went downstairs silently. He opened the thick door and then the screen door leading out to the porch. Standing there he noticed that it had stopped raining and there was a soft and cool breeze that ruffled his gold locks.
Jace closed his eyes calming himself, gaining control before he succumbed to the darkness inside himself.

Raven heard a loud piercing scream coming from Jace’s room. She jumped out of the large bed yanking the covers off; she slid her feet into froggy slippers and grabbed her purple robe. She ran to Jace’s room first, empty. Then Rae sprinted down the stairs and noticed the first door open with the screen door closed.
She could see the scars on the back of his neck. She walked to the door and opened it almost silently, though she figured he’d hear her. Raven placed a soft hand on his shoulder, “Jace? What’s wrong?” she asked quietly.
He didn’t turn, but answered in a tortured tone, “Nightmare.”
“Are you alright?” She asked. She was incredibly sick with worry; the nightmares had become more frequent and were much scarier ever since Julius had died. Before then, he never woke up screaming.
“I’m going to work. I’ll see you tonight.” Jace answered. Before he walked away he turned and gave her a light kiss on the forehead. In order to keep from losing the slight composure he had, he ignored the image he saw when he looked at Raven, her dead body lying at his feet, like in the nightmare. With that Jace turned and walked to HQ, not stopping until he finally reached it.
