Ok, so has anyon eever seen the Movie Mirrormask? Its one of those obscure cheesy movies that wasn't in theatres for very long. The animation is prety bad, along with the special efects. But the story line is amazing along with the the music.
I just thought I'd put that out there because Its an awesome movie. lol

Actually Mirror Mask was supposed to be a straight to DVD made movie. But the creative team showed it a the Sun dance's film festival ( I think that is the correct one.)
And got positive reviews; so they decided to show it in theaters. The film is over-all a tribute really to The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, both done by Jim Henson before he passed.
I thought the animation was gritty yet oddly beautiful, a truly unique film. The story line a tad bit flat but still compelling, still the true meaning of the film is noticed; the story of a mother and her daughter.
(Also I'm just a big geek for anything Neil Gaimen does, same with Jim Henson pictures. x3 )

Gosh Mirrormask was so trippy! It was over all a good film bit by far was it sane. Sphinx-"So what's the answer, go on, tell me!". Girl-"Its a secret.". Sphinx-"Secret, I do love secrets, tell me the secret!". Girl-"No the answer is a secret!". Sphinx-"Come on, ppplleeeassse!". Girl-"Look over there and idiot!". Sphinx-"Where!?"

Agree Pally, but I gotta say my favorite scene was the 'transformation' when the creepy jack in the box maids start singing and everything.

I want to be close to you! lo. The name of the song is close to you. My fave songs are Close o you, If I aplogised, Circus overture, and one other that I forget the name of. I'm currently trying to get the soundtract. Iyt was a really trippy movie, but I really loved it. It was so..... I don't know, just so amazing. No matter how wierd the graphics are they just added to the movie. And I loved the dark crystal. I have the book with all the concept art and stuff. Its amazing. Did you know it started out as a small little book? lol |

I love this movie! I haven't seen it in a LONG time though. I can find it for my PSP somewhere...just gotta find out where though xD
