An Innocent Mistake

[Jynx]

Jynx walked down the halls, listening to the screams of the people around her. She loved that sound, the one of paimn and sorrow that was music to her ears. She smiled at a few of the prisoners, making them wail all the more. She was waiing for someone to bring her a new test subject, and she was impatint. Her temer was burning on a low pil of cinders, and she was taking it out on the people around her. Her skin sparked, the same with her eyes.

She loked towards the entrance, pacing slowly and looking at her necklace. The blue stone was set in metal, and had a sunbust in the center. She shook her head.

" When are they coming Kurma? I though they were quicker than that." The shadow appeared, the figment of her own demented imagination.

" Things will work out wether they bring someone or not. Things will work out." She shook her long blue hair and dissappeared into the dark halls. Jynx glanced at the door again, ready to hurt something, to listen to her angry music of screaming people.She sighed and sat down on a chair near her. A second heart beat clicked in her mind, letting her know the time like always.
Five minutes
Ten minutes
Fifteen minutes

She closed her eyes and listened to the things around her. She knew that things were going to happen soon, but her impatience and temper were getting to her. Not even the agonizing music she enjoyed could calm her down now. She just wanted them to get there.

Suddenly the door oepend, and two young boys came in. They were her catchers, and they had no one with them. Her temper flared as she looked at them, wondering the reason.

" We're sorry. There was no one out that ould have been an acceptable candidate. . We... we couldn't find anyone!" The last was a pitiful wail, one of doom. They both knew what was going to happen. Quick as a snake she pulled out her gun, two bulets ripping through the air. The boys fell dead to the ground.

" Sorry does not further my work." She growled, turning to the door.

Khaloron walked down the halls of these damned souls screeching, crying, and screaming behind closed doors. This did not move him. These sounds may have well came from a dying animal somewhere. He did not care for these creatures.

But he needed a place of being. Whether it be with Hora'quan or human. That's why he took this request. Whatever the job was he would do it... and then he heard two gunshots directly in front of him followed by bodies falling to the floor.

When he got to the door he looked down at the young then to a young woman holding a gun up. "My employer, I presume?" His unhumanly deep voice came from the darkness of his hood.

Jynx took her gaze from the two incopetant corpses to the metalhead in front of her. He was to be her new hired help, and she wondered why it had taken so long for him to get here. She was already impatient to get started. A small sight escaped her lips, and she rolled her eyes.

" Yes, if you are here them I think so." She told him, holstering the gun. It was a nice little trinket she had made. Her whole family had liked ccreating things. Hers had just teded to be a bit more violent.

" I will ask you your name only once. If you are two be in my employ I want things done quickly, quietly, and efficiently. I don'y always have this much time to waste on the frivolities of polite conversation." She motioned to two of her younger workers to clean up the mess. She rubbed her temples, wishing to be back in her lab as soon as possible. She needed to play with the circuits in her arm to stop the terrible headsaches she was getting. She had set all the things she needed for her eye in her arm, and was ready to play with the different metal pieces.

" Do you understand what I am saying Hora'quan?" She asked the creature mercilessly.

Being the kind of person without many words Khaloron just nodded his head in acknowledgement. But did she know that he was Hora'quan? Perhaps his face wasn't covered enough? He adjust it to try and make sure the no one could see it.

During her entire lecture he followed her intently. There was a burning hatred for the woman that reminded him of the ruthlessness of Kor. He would have killed her on the spot if it only didn't draw a lot of unwanted attention. But since this is a city where currency must used to survive he needed this job.

Jynx looked at the hora'quan, seeing something in the ssublte movements of his body that told her he was not friendly. He seemed to be wantingto kill her if she guessed right. She smiled a blood curdling smile, and turned her attention to the girl.

The seconds passed in her mind as she listened to the beat of her internal clock. She could feel the fear and confusion, and it made her all the happier. Was tis girl stupid? Everyone knew ths was no hospital. It was a place no one wanted to be. She smootheed her black labcoat and gave the girl a warm, decieving smile.

" It is okay child. You have only stumbled upon a hospital of sorts. Would you like a room to stay in for a while?" It didn't matter what the girl said. She would be staying in a cell here, for Jynx needed a new subject. Seeing as she had killed her last one. Maybe this would be a good job for her new worker.

Khaloron towered over this young woman as he looked down to her. She was an innocent young female merely coming here by mistake. This was no place for her to be... But it soon will be. Hearing the tone of his new bosses voice indicated that the girl will be here for a long time. But what a shame. Her young life was full of potential. Khaloron turned his head to his boss, the irises in his eyes let off a soft yellow glow.

"Argh" The heavy steps of john echoed in the hallway like an avalanche of boulders. His throat was dry and crude "Get out of the way!" He yelled out as anyone going through that hallway blocked his massive path. Tossing a prison guard into a wall his cloak came off, revealing the monstrosity than is john. "I need no security pass!. I'm here to meet doctor jynx... Would you worthless meat poppet lead the way or do you wanna be my mid-night snack?" His eyes scoured every crumbling piece of cement on the unmaintained walls. The body-count of his murder victims grew larger every night and he knew that the KG's would soon be on his trail if he does not find a place of his own.

Arriving at what seemed to be the meeting place he lowered his head as much as he could to discuss his terms of occupation. "How delicious" He stared at the two women next to Khaloron "I'm here for the job... That's you right?" His eyes where full of malevolence that seemed to shine brighter in his four yellow eyes with every hiss of his tongue.

She smiled at the girl.
" I am Dr. Jynx Killian. And these two will not harm you. They are going to show you to your room." She didn't add that it would be a longer stay than she thought it would. The woman nodded to the metalheads, telling them they could take her.

" Unit... I mean room six is free. It should be proper for her." She stated.[/font]

"What an innocent, young thing. But it isn't my concern of what happens to her." Khaloron guided her to the room Jynx had instructed. She gave thanks in a cutesy manner. Khaloron growled quiet in disgust and walked off.

"What are your instructions now." He said as he returned to the doctor.
