Q: Why is it called Geyser Rock?
A: Geyser Rock is the first level of the Jak series, and is the location of Jak's training at the beginning of J&D: The Precursor Legacy.
Q: What is Geyser Rock?
A: Geyser Rock is the training grounds for Dystopiatic Eco members. Here you will be able to receive training in the style of combat role-play that Dystopiatic incorporates, and learn how to utilize the Jak & Daxter based system.
Q: Do I really have to do this?
A: No. However it is highly encouraged. This will allow all members practice and have fun in combat situations that will not effect the Role-play in any way.
Q: What happens if my character is injured or killed?
A: Absolutely nothing. Battles on Geyser Rock will not effect the Role-play or your character(s), so you can take any damages and/or kill your character in battle on Geyser Rock without worrying about your Role-play.
Q: Can we God-mod?
A: Absolutely not. Part of Geyser Rock is to help every member practice battling and thinking on their feet without God-modding. Your Moderating team will be on the look out for God-modding and will remove such posts.
Q: Do I have to worry about the eras?
A: No, eras do not matter here, so feel free to battle any character that you wish.
Q: What is an era?
A: The Jak & Daxter series takes place over a very long period of time. So to simplify things and to keep things organized DE has incorporated an "Era System." These eras split the Jak universe by time, each one varying by the time between games. The easiest way to find out the time frame of one of the eras is to read the board description that is written right below the board name.
Q: How do I role-play?
A: Role-playing is simple. The basic concept is interactive story telling. You create a character and have control of that character. Through posts you describe that character's actions, thoughts, words, and feelings in response to those of another character and the surroundings.
