Personally I think the purpose of roleplaying is pretty much the opposite, so I have to disagree with you. I don't think "What would I do" but "What would my character do accordingly to her own personality and morals?", and that's the whole purpose of being in character because their actions reflect their own persona as whole. That's the point of it, in my opinion. To be able to portray someone entirely else with different personality, moral standards and cause.

I agre too. but I also agree with Rawling because I based Neko off myself. So most of the time the things she does are the things I do. Minus the cool eco powers. If I had eco powers then I would be a screw loose. lol. But ya. I am still going really slow with updating her because I haven't been on that much. And when I get on I'm having forum trouble because nthing will load. lol.

AAh! Sorry it took me so long to respond. Nope, it's not a problem, I just somehow completely didn't realize it. I would have done some stuff in the RP differently had I known that, but I didn't so I kind of missed out. I'll just have to pay more attention in the future.

well.... its nice to have a char that i modeled as yourself. But on my opinion RP's are to get away from myself. For an example i would always help someone in need, and i would always try and keep away from violence, and i am as one might say not a big fan of sleeping and cold dirty allies and trash.
But DB/john are cold blooded murderers that have nothing to do but look for violence as it follows them around. It helps me unshackle myself and satisfy my creative needs so that i could keep myself calm and considerate at the rest of the day.
Although as a beginner i would highly suggest having a character like you since i had Many issues with DB when i was a newbie, seeing as I made a frozen hearted assassin and gave him my heart. Which was totally out of character for him, until i learned to channel it the right way it took some time.

I originally meant for Neko to be like me but more BA, and she ws, but she had like, a split personality problem. She wanted to be a healer and a destoryer. Thats how I am. But I'm more the healing help everyone type. So Neko is the destoryer half of me. She can go all dark and explode. I can't.

Aww, thanz Eves! That really makes me feel good. And the changes I've mad have so far turned out for the better. Its much easier to have good length roleplays with the way I updated her personality.

Actually exploding had been proved to help solve intestinal problems and brighten your teeth, so it is good for you. Now back on the topic, I know exactly what you mean with the healer/destroyer part. Was kinda th same with me and DB till i decided to turn him completely Destructo, but he may be nice once a year if he has a day off from the legion who wouldn't?
But its awfully complicated to keep a char synchronized with the profile if it has split personalities, i suggest just making one char that is the better half, and another which is the worst half, it works very good, but only if you enjoy playing both.

See, Neko has anger problems, and worries alot. So I chanel any of those feelings I have into her. I do have a character that just likes to shoot things, Shinrah. And we all knows she's hilarious. Jaythen I don't rp with much, but He's the quieter one. Sad kind of.
So ya. I was reading through a copy of her old profile the other day, and actually found it very inconsistant. She was trying to be everything and I couldn't roleplay her like that. So I changed her a bit. Its basically the same character with a s**t load more detail put into her. I gave alot of time going through rewriting her because I wanted to be able to portray her better. I still have to work out some final kinks in her history about how things happened, but then she will be complete except for regualr updatings.

Each of my characters have a piece of my personality. Rawling is me, of course. Starus is my leadership role. That how I act when I'm serious when I lead a team or person. Khaloron is based off of me when I was around 14 or 15. I had no emotions. I had no real care for anyone. Not even myself. An unhappy guy I as. My resent characters, Dajes, will be based off my sadness and depression. I've experienced it enough to recall how it feels. So I'm being really expressive I guess..
