Picking his head up form his hand he glared at Adelaide for a second as trying to figure out what just happened. Than just when she finished her words, there wasn't a hint of hesitation "Well of course... It would be my honor."
----------------- Masquerade night -------------- "There!, as charming as ever"
DB reached his hand into his pocket for his gift, than feeling the soft petals took it out.
"Are we ready than?"
Holding out the velvet red rose to aerie he said "Ready, my love"
DB held aerie softly as they walked out, the smooth silky dress felt warm even in the cold clear night air. As though protecting some precious jewel, he wrapped her in his arms. Than from afar came the sound of music, they presented their invitations and passed through the gates. The atmosphere was very romantic and he took a single glance toward aerie to see if she was in the mood "Would you like to have this dance?" He gave a small bow and reached out his right hand toward her to grasp and lead her to the dance-floor.
Benjamin stood by the gate, awaiting his date and noel to arrive. His outfit was made of beautiful red fiber with a golden line surrounding the edges. Above the impressive outfit he wore silver colored metal shoulder-pads along with 3 plates covering the side of his waist, stomach, and middle torso.making him look slightly like a medieval royal knight. His mask covered everything but his eyes, mouth and chin and it had flat diagonal spikes coming out from the four corners.
Arriving at the scene John glanced over the dance floor to see whether he recognizes anyone, everyone wore masks and it was impossible to recognize them so he just took a table and tried to understand what exactly humans find in these strange events. His four eyes went back and fourth through the dancers, wondering if he himself would ever find a chance to dance.
"Amazing" He answered her, with complete sincerity. "It looks great on you". Reaching a hand out for her to hold he passed his invitation over to the selectors "Would you like to go inside?". Than peeking back once at the blank road behind them his thought wondered for a mere second ...Dont worry, Nelly will get here... She's already 18 and you have to learn to respect that. His attention now lay in his seductive date, uncertain what he is to expect of her during the dance and at all actually....

Keeping her hands in front of her, Kelinna looked at the dance floor with a slight longing. Never before had she danced, or seen so many beautiful things in person; only ever reading about them in books. Shaking her head slowly the diamonds on her mask caught the lights, such things where not really meant for her. Moving away from the table she stood near, she slowly tried to make her way to the snacks.
Indigo insisted that she had dieted to fit properly in the dress that the 'woman' had specially made for her, giggling as she saw her friend's antics on the dance floor mingling easily with the crowd; Kelinna lifted the sides of her dress. Hoping she didn't trip or fall in the voluminous garment, the silver slippers she wore helped a little, after refusing to wear anything type of heel her blue haired friend showed her. Nearly falling over as some 'excited' party guest ran by, Kelinna bumped into a table.
Spinning around, several feathers fluttered freely to the ground; the green eco disappearing as soon as it touched to the floor. "Oh sir! I'm sorry... I didn't mean to disturb you" not at all fazed by the man's large size, Kelinna gave a small curtsies or a good attempt at it. Smiling sweetly she once again turned her sights on the snacks, her green eyes sparkling at the sight of a lovely piece of chocolate cake. "Little Sister!" Indigo shouted at the top of her lungs to be heard over the singer's voice. Charging toward Kelinna, 'she' moved easily in the four inch stilettos 'she' wore under her dress, blinking the green haired girl looked up from the dessert table.
A small piece of cake already aimed towards her mouth "ah! Kelinna! Come now I think I've found you someone to dance with... Eek! What are you doing? You'll ruing your figure if you eat that." Inwardly she was crying as her friend took the cake away and handed it to a waiter, "but Indigo...I'm hungry..." Not listening to her, 'she' grabbed Kelinna by the wrist talking happily about the cute boy she had convinced into dancing with her.
Blushing brightly behind her mask, the smaller woman tried to break free of her friends hold; her wings beating at a fast pace in her futile attempts "but..But...Indigo I..I can't dance!" "Oh nonsense little sister! You just follow the male!" Still she tried to pull free, the others grip strong and firm, every so often looking over her shoulder at all the food she wanted to try.

Audra stood in her garage staring into a small broken mirror that hung on the wall. She examined herself, her hazel-green eyes darting across her entire figure. Her face and body was washed clean of oil and dirt revealing lightly tanned skin. Her blue hair was done up neatly, the bangs straightened and the rest pinned back and slightly curled. The dress she wore was brand new, bought for this occasion. It was a navy blue with a black overlay of lace. The bottom was ruffled and long coming just above her calves.
I feel so girly. . . She thought as she turned her self side to side clasping her dress as she spun. It was strange, not having denim around her legs or boots on her feet. Now where is that mask? She asked herself looking down at the cleared off workbench. Her mask was covered in a gold colored thread, the outline surrounded by black sequins. A flower like arrangement of sequence and beads on the right side of the mask had an array of aqua-black feathers that completed the entire look.
With a reluctant sigh, Audra lifted up the mask arranging it upon her face so that it fit snugly and was not likely to fall off. When she finished, she gazed at herself in the mirror once more. She gave a satisfactory nod and turned away, grabbing for her keys and invitation.
Taking her racing zoomer was going to be a bit risky, since there would be a large amount of people around to steal it. Who is going to get away with driving off with a NYFE racer that is panted in bright blue with the words AUDRA on the side? She shrugged and reached across the zoomer, starting the engine while it was still resting on the concrete blocks in the garage. It sprang to life the motor giving off a slight growl.
Audra smiled and led it off the blocks until it hovered steadily in the center of the garage. She slammed the button on the wall, the garage door cranking open. The sound was like the lights at the race and she quickly jumped on board the zoomer taking a few extra moments to fix her dress before she drove out of the garage, racing down the hall and jumping the zoomer over the small blockade.
In a flash she raced out of the vicinity of the stadium, following the mass of people until she saw the place where the dance was being held. Lights, lanterns, gazebos, streamers, grass and flowers all lined the entire thing. Reluctantly she slowed, parking her zoomer on the main street. She made sure that she chained it down well before walking away and approaching the gate. She presented her invitation and passed through, joining the mass of masked bodys.
"Well what to do now?" She asked herself, looking around and sighing. It's going to be a long night. . .
Leo messed with his shirt, tucking it in to his pants. He was wearing black dress pants and shoes as well as a nice button up white shirt. A bright flash of blue flickered across his arm, reflecting the nervousness that was crawling into his emotions. Everything will be fine, you look great. . . He felt his hair and let his hand slip down the scars on his face neck and chest. He had no way of knowing what he looked like, and that bothered him.
With a long drawn out sigh he grabbed for his mask, slipping it on. He adjusted it, wanting it to cover up the scars and tattoos that littered his face. He ran his fingers across the fabric of his mask, sparks crackling on his fingertips. Well I guess this is it. . . He thought taking a deep breath grabbing his for his staff. Its deep gold color greatly contrasted ageist his black and white attire.
With a few steps he headed out the door, his staff tapping along the sidewalk. The sound of opera reached Leo's tattered ears, reminding him that he was heading in the right direction. As he grew closer the sounds grew louder, the music fading into the array of people speaking, shouting and laughing.
" Sir, do you have a invitation." Said a masculine voice that almost caught Leo off guard.
"Uh yes sir. . ." Leo said shuffling around his hand disappearing into his pocket and then reappearing with the invitation. "There you go. . ." He said extending his hand out, the man grabbed the invite and nodded.
"Have a good time." Leo smiled and felt around, working his way through the gate and into the crowd. The mixing of energy's made another spark crackle up his arm. It was all very disorienting, the mix of unfamiliar sounds, smells and feelings. With a gulp he awkwardly made his way though the crowd working his was ageist the wall of a building.
I guess I will just have to wait for Shinrah. The thought made him blush a little. Ever since their date he wasn't sure what was going on. He thought about her, dreamed about her. . . Leo. . . He told himself trying to get the ideas out of his head. He leaned ageist the building and closed his clouded eyes, trying to listen for her voice in the crowd.

Rawling watched her as she danced around the floor. "Oh I can do that.. I think.." He said nervously. He rubbed his neck as she stopped and gave him a wink. He chuckled bashfully as he started following the example of the lovely couple in red.
He brought his left hand up to have hers and was getting ready for his first dance. "Um... ready? Because I don't know if I am, heheh."

Khaloron laughed in his mind at how ridiculous looking male was. "Is this boy serious?" He asked himself. He shook his head in the thought that the all evil and murderous Jynx Killian would be here to dance. It was more than that he was sure knowing her sick ways.
Khaloron scanned the area and noticed a large man sitting at a table across the courtyard. "It can't be.." He thought in disbelief.
"John..." He called him telepathically.

Starus's eyes gazed into Aila's as the sound of the opera filled their ears as the danced together. Under the blank white mask Starus was smiling. "If the men saw me now they wouldn't belive it." He said to his wife.
"Well I don't care. They don't have to. I see it everyday." They got so close that there was no room between them. Then Starus looks past Aila and saw the crazy masked young man trying to learn how to dance on the spot. "Heheh. Look dear." He turned her so she could see him. "Looks we got us a rookie on the dance floor."
Aila giggled, "Well you go help him. You're such a great dancer."
"Nah, I'm sure he'll be fine on his own."

Nephra’s voice reached through the Party, everyone of course having a hard time talking but it was no concern of her. This Opera was her favorite; it was indeed beautiful to her ears and hopefully bearable to her husbands. As she sang she saw her husband sitting in the front row, hopefully with an aw look on his face, a wanting look. She could simply guess as seeing he brought his mask. While she sang she brought her hands up pointing at him in the seductive yet dedicating the song towards him. People saw and knew the two were of course together; there went any guy’s idea.
Tatsu sat there, his face covered by the people… perfect for him this was a Masquerade instead of a regular party for some stupid occasion. He sat to only listen to his wife’s voice and once she was done he would ask her to dance with him, hopefully then people are gone and possibly off doing something else.
To think of it this was the first Romantic thing they’ve done in a month… ever since things came up he’s been busy and not paying her any attention much. He should really keep an eye on her and be there. He knew her to well; the song will be carried more.
Adelaide gave Ben a smile. “Let us.” She said walking with him, she handed the man her invitation. She of course before grabbed his hand… it was soft to her for some reason. Never once has she grabbed another’s hand… not even her first boyfriend. Something fluttered in her… she felt ‘warm’. As she stepped she heard Nephralia’s voice and smiled. “So my sister-in-law is here.” She said softly. For some reason she had always liked Nephra, dark and brutal. However this also meant her brother was here to…
Ever since blinding him she hasn’t felt the need to harm him anymore. She felt sorry for a change… He did call her earlier today but she forgot to check her messages thinking it was only the KG telling her something. If possible she may search him out and see what is up.
Until then her attention was on her Date… well the one she basically said he was going with her. As she walked she spoke softer, “You know Ben you didn’t have to go with me… there are other young and vulnerable women out there that would easily go.” She made an emphasis on the young and the vulnerable part. This was truly a different side of her… something rare.

________;;Noel;; ________What a perfect night. The stars gleamed and called their hellos from where they watched. The breeze was warm and light, kissing her face while at the same time dancing in her hair. Perfect conditions for traveling. And yet Ellie was going to arrive belatedly. It was by a sudden surge of courage that she had even decided to show up at all. She had woken up that day to an empty house, with nothing but a note scribbled onto a torn piece of parchment on the shelf by the door, a small sack of orbs acting as a paperweight. She recognized Benny’s trimmed handwriting. The moment she saw it, Noel picked it up and read it. According to the note, Ben had gone to some sort of event somewhere in town. He’d left her some money to purchase an outfit of her choice, if she decided to come. The corners of her lips had pulled into an easy smile. Good old Benny.
It had been two years now. Two years that she had been in Haven City, and two years that she had known Benny. And yet, he was still the only person she trusted. Of course, she had recovered most of her light personality, and gained back some of the weight she had burned off in the prison. No Krimzon Guards had found her. Yet. Ellie had picked out a formfitting white dress with intricate designs lacing themselves around her torso. Of course, she had snipped out two slits for her wings, which she layered with black lacey décor. And finally, her mask; it’s white porcelain covered the uppermost portion of her small face, fitting it snuggly. Intricate swirls and such worked their way around her gray-blue eyes. Most of her curly golden hair was pinned into an updo with a waving fringe framing her face in an elegant style. Of course she had no date, but she didn’t mind. She had always gotten by alone. As she silently descended under the cover of night, she could pick out many familiar voices that drifted from the huge party. She touched ground by a gazebo, certain than nobody had seen her. And, straightening her wings to make them look as bogus as could be, she slipped into the crowd.
"Heeeeeello, amigos!" She called with a smile._______;;Alikae;; _________ Yes… a gorgepous night indeed. What lovely masks, such grace and elegance flowing into each step that synchronized unto the rhythm. The ladies, young and old, were all dressed beautifully, and the men handsomely. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Crimson eyes scorched from beneath the black Venetian mask. Their probing gaze swept the vividly lightened festivities, looking for nothing in particular as a tall, lanky man in a black swallowtail coat glided through the throngs of bodies. White-gloved hands hung straight and proper at his sides, but craved the satisfaction of the feel of torn flesh. So many stopped to look at Alikae, only to be mowed over by another waltzing couple. He returned the several gracious hellos that many unimportant faces offered, but paid no further mind. It was only when his dark gaze briefly caught the light of a young lady’s did he stop. "Heeeeeello, amigos," She had called toward the heat of the dance only a moment ago, but in the brief moment they locked gazes, her warm smile had vanished. The girl was making her way toward the main party – the opposite of where Alikae was going.
She wore a white dress and a corresponding mask, but also another feature that no one else had; synthetic wings. They were quite realistic, thought Alikae. He was almost convinced that they were real.
"Curious..." he murmured absently to himself. In the brief moment they passed each other – where she dared not look at him out of some unknown reason – he felt as if this young lady reminded him of someone from way back when....
But he soon pushed the strange homesick feeling she gave him aside and continued toward one of the elegantly decorated gazebos that was farthest from it all, empty and unlit, save the light of the full moon. He was feeling quite lonely - what, with seeing everyone around him having their friends and dates, even lovers surrounding them.
He stepped into the gazebo and stood there for a second. Then he sighed and leaned over the railing to stare at the clear night sky.
There he would wait. For what? Well, that was a surprise for them all.
Shhh... Shhh... ~ __________________________

The crowd was tiring her, makng her frustrated. She didn't know where he was, and she wasnted to find him quick. Shinrah was searching for Leo, for that crop of bright blue hair. She looked through the crowds, blue sparking in her. It happened now every time she go excited or nervous, and she hated it. Except maybe........
She closed her eyes and felt for her eco. The blue had a similar feelin, but electric. If she could just search for that feeling she felt in Leo.... There. It was there, somewhere in the people. She slipped through them, keping the thread that she could feel. It would lead her to Leo. The crowd parted enough for her o see Leo giving his invitation to a guard. She had done that when she had first come here. She watched him walk away. Following him like a shadow, Shinrah crept up behing him. He wouldn't notice her to quickly. He leaned up against a wall, an she saw her opportuity.
She moved slowly, with practiced stealth. The wall was cool against her clothes, and she crept next to him silently. It seemed as if is eyes were closed, and she had to surpress a lugh. " Hello there Leo. Looking for someone in particular?" She asked in a smiling tone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- eople were everywhere, and nothing was happening sitting on the fountain. She wished she had someone to tlk to that she knew, but shook her head. Th coppery gold red dress hissed as the fabric rubbed together, a pleasant sound. Mykah slowly made her way through the people. She wantd o dance, but not alone.
As she moved through the dancing partygoers curly locks of blue hair caught her attention. She watched the eperson move for a second before realizing she knew wer those movements came from. Audra. Mykah walked her way over to the other woman, trying to get a chance to talk to her.
" So Audra, are you enjoying yourself?" She asked over the singing of opera.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He felt the peopl all around him, a web of electricity uzing in his mind. He didn't know anyone here. Evryone was moving and it made him slightly dizzy. His hand sparked again, and he glared at it, grunbling. Jaythen didn't like any of this, but he was here anyway. It all amounted to the same thing. He was looking for long lost friend.
His lithe body moved trough the dancers like a fish, and they parted before him. He saw someone dancing who was vaguely familiar. The green hair shishedm gems covering her entire dress. He looked closer, and his memory sparked. She had been in the prison at the same time as her. She was the green eco girl. He tried to remeber if she had said her name, but drew a blank. She was dancing with some man, and he was interested in who she was in why she had been in the prison.
Jaythen moved towards them, being as polite as he could remebr ever being. The prison didn't exctly reed manners, and he had been in there a very long time.

Bright green wings fluttered in annoyance as Kelinna was dragged onto the dance floor, many of the party goers simply thinking they where a elaborate design or mechanical; not believing that someone had real wings. "Indigo, please... I don't want to dance with.. With some stranger!" Pouting up at the taller person, Indigo let out a small chuckle "little sister, that is the joys of a masquerade... Everyone here is a stranger!" Blinking 'she' quickly corrected herself "well... Everyone here that doesn't have such lovely features as yourself that are easily recognized."
Referring to Kelinna's bright green hair and oddly colored eyes, noting the frown and distant look suddenly appearing on 'her' friends face; Indigo gave the girl a shove. Looking at the stranger that aproached them a smile appeared on 'her' face, chuckling happily "I'm sorry dearier but one dance has already been claimed, perhaps later!"Careful of wings that seemed to have grown another inch, "now then play nice!" Grumbling softly she looked up at the guy, he was wearing a hideous mask that did nothing to hide his obvious bad looks or other uncharismatic qualities. Quickly spinning around Kelinna looked up at Indigo whispers feverishly "are you serious?!" Leaning in close the blue haired 'woman' whispered "this man is kinda a business partner of mine dear, and he has been wanting to dance with you since you arrived... Just once dance is all I ask little sister."
Nodding her head in defeat; Kelinna turned back to the man, becoming a little sick as she saw him cleaning his ear with his pinky. "Uh...Nice to meet you sir..." "Oh yes! Very lovely come lets dance!" His voice was squeaky and harsh on anyone's ears, grabbing Kelinna by the wrists he started swinging her about; Indigo watching helplessly as the poor girl was forced to dance all around the place. A look of absolute horror etched on her normally sweet face "now.. To find that girl a actual dance partner and not a gorilla."
Blue eyes darted back and forth behind a elaborate mask, motioning for one of the waiters to come over to 'her' Indigo grabbed one of the champagne glasses "find me a guy of proper breeding or at least looks like it. Oh! And do tell that gentleman over there that after this dance he is free to ask Kelinna for a dance." The elderly man nodded and began looking around critically at all the guest, shaking his head sadly as he saw Kelinna being spun around against her will, feathers going everywhere as the girl panicked even more so.

He was about 4 feet from the house when he heard his name whispered. He knew the voice extremely well, Isabel's. Jace turned around to see if it was really her, or if his mind was playing tricks on him.
He turned slowly expecting to see the stairs empty and the door still closed. When he actually saw her he smiled wide. She was wearing a black and yellow dress, her blond hair spilling down her back. Her eyes whowed happiness and surprise...and something Jace couldn't decipher. "Hello Isabel." He said in a soft dreamy voice.
Jace was nervous but controlled. He couldn't help but smile at how beautiful she looked. It was as if her were dreaming. His eyes were filled with happiness, no sign of the bitterness that ate at him daily. He had hope, hope that she actually cared for him. Tonight would be a good night, one of celebration, fun and maybe a bit of romance.
Jace had never been one to read a romance novel or watch a chick flick, but he had the advantage of being passionate and caring. It helped that he was given a bit of help from Raven.
"How are you?" He asked in the same sweet and slightly seductive tone. Jace began walking up to the stairs. His hair fell into his eyes that were smoldering with a burning intensity he was oblivious to.

Lifting his mask over his head, DB took hold of aerie around her upper waist as they began to dance. The eye contact had not been broken once while they circled each other, her light brown eyes and blond hair took a more golden shade in the artificial light. The couple's light feet slid gracefully across the imported tiles, as though walking on air. There was an alluring scent in the air that was now closer than ever, she got closer and without any notice stole a kiss.
His eyes closed for that brief moment, it was as though the music had been muted. Her gentle lips locked onto his with passion and vitality, yet shyness. It was addictive and unique, different each time. Leaning forward slightly when the connection broke with a delightful "Tut" He savored the flavor for just a little more.
"I love you" The three words rang in his ear with an angelic tone, his mouth opened to a slight gap, but he knew any word would be unnecessary.
Through the music and dances one clear, sharp thought crossed Johns mind. But no... It was not his own "John..." He heard Khaloron call, His head turned side-wards almost instantly. "How intriguing... He is here as-well" Getting up John almost flipped the table he sat around, his large claw sticking into the wood and pining it back to place by instinct careful not to skewer it. Hiding his arm back within the dark cloaks John acted as though nothing happened, and made his way toward the gazebo.
They went on dancing, each step was effortless and nimble, the dance of lovers. They moved fluidly and with amazing co-ordination, DB's eye color turned light aqua blue. There was no other place he would rather be, no one else he would rather spend it with, there at that moment, he felt complete.
"But... Adelaide. It is you I want go with... No any other girl" He said, his voice assuring. The corner of his lips curved upward, and his snow white teeth gave off a weak shine reflecting a nearby spotlight. Benjamin than led her toward the dance-floor, making his armor seem as though made of paper with the un-influenced agility in every step. "What style of dancing do you prefer?" He asked, turning back to face her once they found a spot with sufficient room to dance.
Arriving at the gazebo John welcomed his old acquaintance by taking off his mask, "And what are you up to khaloron?..." [/b]
