Nephra watched as Targa was knocked out. “Really?” She asked him knowing he wouldn’t reply. She then saw his hatch mate and found out why. Without hesitation her motherly instincts kicked in and she jumped in front of Targa, taking a hit to the shoulder. Her knees bent down and hit the soft ground; she could feel grass all around her knees and then a jolting pain in her shoulder where the blow hit.
Nephra gave off a screech of pain. She took a second to gather he self, it was time to let her Eco loose once more. She stood up slowly, her hands turning into talons, her already purple hair transforming into a demented dark purple, as she lifted her head horns grew, and with it her eyes turned pure black.
Nephra jumped at the Hora’Quan in the hopes at clawing at its face.

Targa groggily opened his eyes and felt a great rage come upon him as he once more saw his nest mate. he was fighting the human female. ''What right does this fool have to attack his elder brother'' he thought. He stood up slowly and was glad that he had a very thick skull. He saw that the human was using her dark Eco to do battle and at the sight of a dark eco user he felt his own power taking over. He saw that the Human was winning in her fight and turned to deal with the other metal heads that where still alive. He tore through them but he gained many small draining wounds. As the last one fell a bullet hit him in the side. He twisted his head in extreme pain to look upon his attacker. It was a young KG his AK47 shaking in his hands. As targa blacked out once again he saw another 3 KG running towards him. He knew he was going to die and that he at least died fighting.

Nephra twisted the Hora’quans head. Snapping its vertebra. Her demented black eyes gazed upon the site as the KG swarmed in killing many of the beasts. One looked at her gun pointed right at her. “Halt.” He said. She gave a demonic look at him. Twisting her body around she brought her foot up to his head knocking him to the side. She didn’t do any damage to his head, mainly because for his helmet. She only knocked him to the side so she could rush to Targa.
Her feet stepped lightly on the ground. The soft lush grass running through her toes made her feel energy. It felt great to be an instrument of darkness. She jumped up and landed on a Hora’ quan that was next to Targa, dead. Her right foot on its face. “What right does the KG have to intrude on my property?” She asked viciously.
The KG looked at her dumbfounded. “Baron Praxis wants all Metal Heads cleared of this forest. You are in our way.” One said. Nephra’s head twitched. The dark eco slowly easing from her. Soon the horns dove back into her skull, her eyes turned normal as well as many of her features.
“This one is mine.” She said jumping off of the dead Metal head and put a foot on Targa, it was a light hardly any pressure.
“No can do Miss.” The KG replied bringing a gun up and pointed it at Targa. With a flash of rage Nephra reverted back to darkness and slashed at the KG. Cutting his torso and grabbing his arm, she launched him to the side away from Targa. Before any other KG could shoot or notice what happened she got under Targa and lifted him up. He was heavy.
“Wake up Hora’quan. I need you to help me move you.” She scowled at him. They had limited time to get into the woods.

Targa opened his eyes '' i Knew you where worthy first time i saw you''he said his voice containing a hint of surprise , surprise that the human was carrying him. When they entered the forest he grabbed onto a branch and, wincing with pain started to clamber up his tree. when he neared the top he suddenly remembered the little one in the house. '' Human wait, what about your child'' he yelled down at the female. He saw KG swarming around the house fighting the remnant's of the metalhead force. He begun firing yellow Eco ball's down at them and used his Dark Eco cannon on the ones that looked like leader's. He took out quite a few but his yellow Eco was running out. He leaped from the tree and landed in a squad of KG. He spun like a dervish slicing enemy's left and right killing most of the squad. He charged for the house and dived through the front window taking cover behind a piece of furniture.

Haven Forest. It was a beautiful place. Arguably, the last such place in the known world for the citizens of the nearby city of Haven. It was an oasis, rich with trees, lakes, rivers, and all forms of flora and fauna. An oasis surrounded by a hostile environment filled with hostile organisms. When the Metal Heads attacked the area, only Haven Forest escaped the rampage unscathed. Some say that the gods themselves protected this center of unrivaled beauty and tranquility. Others believe that the lost souls of the Sages protect the forest to this day. But one thing holds true - over centuries of warfare, the KG have never, ever, allowed the Metal Heads to own this forest. It was the last patch of nature that Haven had left. Everywhere else was either a hostile desert, a sprawling urban area, or completely stripped of all life in some sort of city-controlled project, such as the strip mine. No matter what else happened, the KG have always fought savagely to keep the forest free of Metal Heads.
Though the Forest was not occupied by the Guard, there were a few very small outposts on the outskirts of the forest, outposts that had been silent for almost two days now. High Command was nervous about the situation, and scouting parties were sent out. Not a single man had returned. And that was why the Krimzon Guard were there that day.
Baron Praxis and the Krimzon Guard High Command both believed that the forest had been compromised. The Baron had immediately commanded that the KG be mobilized for an all-out battle. An entire KG Armored Brigade had been assembled for this task, and what a force it was. Four Thousand battle-hardened men, supported by short-range mortars, battle-tanks, and hellcat cruisers, marched into the forest that day. The KG would have sent even more, but this was all they could manage at such short notice. It didn't matter, it was expected to be more than enough.
The soldiers marched in formation down a large, grassy pathway that began at the city entrance. They were highly disciplined, perfectly in-step, 5 abreast, and rifles brought to bear. The infantry formation alone was half-a-mile long.
On the flanks of the formation, the Trik battle-tanks silently drove along-side the infantry, sweeping the trees on either side with their gigantic 120mm cannons, looking for any enemies unfortunate enough to be smitten by their firepower.
Above the formation, perhaps the most important of all, several dozen Hellcat Cruisers flew overhead, spread out to provide maximum air cover for the men. In addition to providing vital air support to the ground troops, the Hellcats were also the eyes of the Brigade, as they would be the first to see any enemies that intended to do battle with the KG.
The Brigade had been attacked several times already. 13 men had been either killed or wounded since they had entered the forest. The Metal Heads here weren't as numerous as originally thought, however they were more...tactical, than usual because they were relying on ambushes and raids to hammer down the KG army. They were succeeding in that regard, but the KG still held the advantage in firepower here.
They marched in relative silence, eyes forward, and depending on the tanks and the hellcats to alert them to any enemies. So far the tactic had worked. With the exception of brief bursts of gunfire from the flanks of the formation, combat hadn't been very intense.
However, they weren't getting anywhere any time soon like this. If the KG wanted to clear the forest, they would have to divide and conquer. And that's exactly what they planned to do.
Lieutenant Colonel Robert Bradford, the commander of the operation, called the Brigade to a halt. Bradford was a very experienced and effective leader, and Praxis had hand-picked him for this operation. He was an expert in Guerrilla Warfare, and made quite a name for himself when he was leading his own troops back when the KGEF still existed.
Bradford quickly gave out his orders: The Brigade would divide into platoons, each one consisting of 30 soldiers, divided up into 3 squads of 10 men. Each squad consisted of 8 riflemen, wielding AK-47s, and 2 machine gunners, armed with M249 SAWs. The platoons would each be tasked with clearing a single square-mile of the forest, and the individual platoon commanders would decide how to accomplish their mission. The tanks would be divided up as well, and for every 4 platoons, there would be one tank for support. The Hellcats would patrol the skies, and they would provide close-air-support whenever a platoon or squad called for an air-strike. Mortars would be spread around as well and heavily guarded. The short-range artillery that the mortars would provide would be vital for the operation to succeed, because cloaking Metal Heads would be quite dangerous without the ability to blanket an area with heavy fire.
The KG quickly implemented the plan. The 30 man platoons had their orders, and they left the path and entered the forest to march to their designated areas, firing and killing Metal Heads wherever they saw them. The hellcats also divided up, operating in groups of four and patrolling the combat zone. The Krimzon Guard were fully confident that this was a battle that was already won.
So far the operation had gone as planned, but as a wise man once said, even the best-laid plans were forgotten after the first five minutes of the battle.
However, what the KG had not planned on that day, was coming across a house in the middle of the forest, occupied by a certain dark-eco wielding Diva, some sort of intelligent, vaguely humanoid Metal Head, and a few dozen Metal Head soldiers.
The 9th platoon, as this particular unit was called, were the men to find them. Despite their experience, they panicked somewhat when they spotted Targa. They had never seen such a Metal Head as this, and therefore were somewhat at loss as to what to do about it. However, bullets were effective solutions to most problems, and therefore the first man to see the Metal Head decided to use one of these solutions.
The Metal Head Humanoid fell down to the ground, a bullet in his side, and the rest of the 30 man platoon moved in, dividing up into their 3 squads, and begin to spread out around the clearing so that they would have overlapping fields of fire. They began firing upon the Metal Heads in the area as they advanced. One soldier ran up to the woman, minding the still-dangerous Metal Head that had been brought down by the Guard.
The exchange that followed wasn't heard by the rest of the soldiers, but they saw enough. The Metal Head was being aided by the woman, and the soldier that had gone to help the woman had been attacked. The Metal Head, previously thought out of action, rose back up and begin to counter-attack the soldiers. The KG did not hesitate to open fire on him and the woman that had apparently been helping him. However, the platoon leader, Lieutenant William Cooper, found himself horrified when he saw the Metal Head utterly annihilate one of his squads. "Precursors above...!" He said in shock. This would require more firepower than a simple platoon had.
He elbowed the man next to him to get his attention. "Corporal! Get on your radio and call in some mortar fire on them! They're more than we're equipped to deal with!" The Corporal saluted quickly and begin to call in the first barrage of mortars.
Lieutenant Cooper got the attention of another man, this one a Sergeant. "Call for a Trik! We need heavy firepower to keep their attention off us!" This man also nodded and picked up his radio to call for the tank.
Hopefully this would prove sufficient to save the rest of his platoon, because Lieutenant Cooper refused to retreat unless the battle truly was lost. He continued to bark orders, and his men continued to fire their AK-47s at their enemies.

Targa peeked up from behind his cover and saw the Human leader speaking to a radio operator; he had battle KG before and new that many of his kind died when a radio was used. he suppressed the nearby soldier's with his Dark eco blaster taking out a few, then using the last of his Yellow Eco he fired an Almighty blast. It hit the Operator's Torso obliterating it. His limb's flying off in random direction's. But he was too late as he saw a trig tank come out of the undergrowth he roared a summons to any Hora, quan for miles around. Hose head's scuttled from the sewer's ready to kill anything that flew, Grunt's bounded through the trees in their dozens ready to tear flesh. Geckos swarmed through the forest canopy with giant spider's and group of cloaker's even responded. They swarmed into the clearing tearing the KG apart. The Trig held for a while but was eventually destroyed. "obliterate the Krimzon Guard and retake this place for yourselves crush them and bring me their leader's head But i swear if you come any where near this house i will kill you now go" He roared and the metal head's scuttled to obey him and so begun the battle of haven forest.

Lieutenant William Cooper hated to admit it, but for a brief few moments he had actually thought that the fight had been won. When the Trik had shown up the KG had possessed an undisputed advantage, and Cooper had allowed himself to feel some relief.
When he thought back on it, it had been rather stupid of him to assume anything. No sooner had the Trik arrived than had Metal Head reinforcements began pouring in from all directions. The attack came swiftly, lethally, and the platoon watched in absolute horror as the Tank, their savior, was overwhelmed by the swarm of Metal Heads. They jumped onto the top of the tank, where the machine guns could not retaliate, and they tore off the crew hatches.
The screams of the tank crew as they were murdered would haunt the soldiers for the rest of their lives. However long their lives lasted.
With the tank destroyed, the remnants of the KG Platoon was now fully vulnerable to the onslaught of the Metal Head forces. They received the full attention of the beasts, and within a single minute, their defensive perimeter had fallen and the Metal Heads were swarming within the ranks of the soldiers.
After several minutes of brutal close-quarters fighting, only 6 men out of the original 30 were left alive. Lieutenant Cooper and his surviving men were completely surrounded, desperately firing their weapons at the limitless numbers of the Metal Head troops. The soldiers fought as well as anyone could have expected, but in the end it was all in vain.
A Metal Head Grunt charged ahead of the rest of the beasts as one of the surviving Guards was reloading. However, instead of attacking the vulnerable soldier, it ran straight past and towards Lieutenant Cooper. The battle-hardened Lieutenant had not expected this to happen, and he paid for it with agonizing pain as one of the Grunt's claws ripped into his belly. His armor gave way under the brute force of the point-blank attack, and he felt his body grow numb and cold as he began to lose blood. His skin began to turn white, and the Metal Head roared in triumph at it's victory.
The Metal Head ripped the claw out of Cooper, and the officer collapsed to the ground, barely clinging onto life. The Grunt moved to finish him, but it's life was abruptly ended with a well-placed round from a Private's AK-47. The damage was done however, and the Platoon's officer had already passed on.
Because the Metal Head grunt had broken through the ranks of the surviving soldiers, the KG had been forced to break their fields of fire to kill it. This allowed the Metal Heads to surge forward unimpeded, and the last 5 KG soldiers were killed in mere seconds.
The clearing fell silent, as the last man fell. The lush, green grass of the clearing had been painted with blood, both with the Red of humans and the Purple of Metal Heads. Nothing remained of the KG platoon except their ruined corpses and the battered, blood-soaked tank.
However, despite their victory, the Metal Heads had forgotten something when they had concentrated their forces on the platoon. The KG forces in the other sectors of the forest had found themselves bewildered when all of the enemies they were fighting suddenly broke combat and began to charge, in the opposite direction. Naturally, the KG had pursued their enemy, and many of the KG units met up with each other completely by accident they all converged on the clearing where the Metal Heads had moved to.
Seldom had the clearing fallen silent before the first KG forces, hot in pursuit of their previous enemy, arrived in the area. A blast of gunfire and several grunts fell, before the gunfire multiplied and the exposed Metal Heads began to drop like flies. From every direction in the clearing, KG troopers charged in, guns blazing.
Hellcat Cruisers, noticing that all of the Guards were converging in one area, began to focus their attentions there as well. As a result, the Metal Heads were bombarded with enormous amounts of gunfire from the skies as all of the Brigade's Hellcats discovered that there was no shortage of targets in the clearing that the opposing armies were fighting over.
The Triks that arrived with the soldiers began firing cluster shells from their cannons, killing dozens of Metal Heads as they fired their yellow-eco machine guns, ripping apart Metal Heads at a pace that even the KG infantry could not match. And the battle was barely even starting. The KG Brigade had thousands of troops at it's disposal, and they were still bringing them in from every corner of the forest, and the Metal Heads were completely and utterly surrounded.

As the KG began to pour into the clearing targa laughed and laughed and laughed. Other metal head's looked at him bewilderment on their faces. the human's had forgotten something, They had forgotten to look up. Cloaker's opened up from the canopy taking out entire squad's of KG, Then the real horror arrived, The slow ponderous hose nose's and the heavy thud's smashed through trees. They decimated the enemy forces trig tank's being targeted by the Thud's while normal guard's men where sliced apart by hose nose laser fire.
Targa clambered over the windowsill he was standing behind. he charged towards the human's using his blue Eco to go faster. He jumped on top of an important looking trig; it looked important because of the fancy banner flying above it. He tore off the main hatch and reached down, his questing hand found a human head and he pulled, a crewman came out. He through him towards the crowd of metal head's. He reached in again and pulled out a man wearing a peaked cap with medal's on the front of his uniform. He tore off his head and threw it at a KG. He roared they would take this forest today.
