So, I have recently come upon enough money, just enough to buy "1" new game. But I have a tough decision because there are "2" I want, Heavy Rain and BC2.
So here is a little bit of info about me( Just to maybe help you all help me make my choice.) I love FPS's and I am heavily oriented around them, mainly CoD though. But I also love many other types of games, and I very much enjoyed the Heavy Rain demo, because I enjoyed the new style of play. I do not have internet play on my PS3, so multiplayer would be out of question unless at a friends house.(On BC2 that is.) And I am also in great need of a game to just play for fun.
Now it might come down to a sale in two weeks were I can buy both maybe for half price, but I am not sure what Gamestop will be putting up for sale. But in the case they are not on sale, which should I chose. Oh and please do not throw in other suggestions, it would only confuse me more.
(not sure if this is right topic to be posted in.)

I haven't played the demo for BFBC2, but I'd get Heavy Rain since I love mysteries.

I have played the demo for Heavy Rain. I personally didn't get to much into it, seem just a little to slow for me though it do some very unique things that I found interesting. I mean this by how the game plays out like a movie but you control the actions of your character while it plays out. Very interest but like I said, to slow for my personal taste.
Now Bad Company 2, I own a copy and may I say, it is epic. I have been playing multiplayer a lot which is very intense even with just 24 people on the field. As for the campaign, I have found it to be very enjoyable. The story thus far has been good and the characters are always entertaining and memorable. The action is fast as you run from cover to cover as everything falls apart from bullets and rockets and the visuals are just stunning. If you enjoyed CoD then you will enjoy this, though it is completely different from CoD. (Whats real funny is the characters in Bad Company take a few shots at CoD by referring to them at times as "those dushbags with wussy heart-beat monitors!") With that being said I would advise BC2. Like CoD you will have a diverse game of shooting on foot, from within tanks and choppers, racing around a mountain on ATVs and much more. Definitely a must play!

Hmm, that is the kind of advice I like, the long detail that draws me completely to BC2. And a bit off topic, but you should add me up on PSN sometime paladin, my gamertag is aridic.
But back on topic, that furthers the tie, but I would say that BC2 is winning if the MP is as good as you say.

The MP gets a little frustrating at times because there is a clear difference between new players and more experience. Mainly the more experience, higher ranked players have better equipment and thus can usually win a firefight pretty quick. Still I kind of like that because it gives something to work towards.

No! What did it die of? I have wanted one forever, but if the PS3 had epic problems like the red ring of death for the x-box, I might have to reconsider it...

Ha, well once its fixed you will have to beat my sniping skills! So far you have to drop someone in less then 5 shots from 2.4 miles away. Also you will need to shoot the pilot out of a blackhawk helicopter in less then two shots while its in the air, moving. And yes, I have witnesses to this awesomeness, though it was mostly luck!

No! What did it die of? I have wanted one forever, but if the PS3 had epic problems like the red ring of death for the x-box, I might have to reconsider it... I think it's called RloD (Red Light of Death). It started off not being able to read blu-ray disks, so I was left to just playing demo's and downloadable games, then all of the sudden it shutted down on me. After that, it beeped 3 times and the red light started blinking. I left it off the rest of the day because it overheated, then I played it for 10 minutes the next day, then it did the same thing. I tried to turn it back on then the yellow light came on followed by the red lights. This seems to happen to alot of people, so I think that's why SONY made the slim PS3 since the phat PS3's failure is high. So if you want a PS3 then I recommend the slim PS3. I take your challenge! >=]
