I know what you mean. I question a lot of things that pop-up on sites like IGN and Gamespot that I haven't seen official announcements. I probably would have never believe the announcement of TLF if I hadn't seen the official SCEA post about it on the PlayStation Blog, and even then I refused to believe it until the day after the announcement since it was posted on April Fools.

It's not just a blog, it's the official SCEA blog, and only official Sony representative are able to create posts on the blog. Average people like us are only able to comment on the blog posts that have been made. I can confirm this because I'm a member of the PlayStation Network (formerly PlayStation Underground) that the blog is attached to.
As for knowing that it's not an April Fools joke, there wad never a retraction posted on April 2nd. Always when a professional business makes an April Fools joke announcement there is a retration announcement the following day to say "April Fools" and "Gotcha'" to those who fell for it.

That's very true. I can take jokes like that. It's the people who put bulls*** out there and pass it off. That just gets quite irritating after a few years  .

well another thing to think about. Its got pirates in it. Since when to pirates have anything to do with Jak?
ye i saw a video something about jaks enemies being called "sky pirates" or something like that

Ya, we've got yet another debate about the game going over on the PSN forum because of the new screens.
I no longer view TLF as cannon. According to the cannon Jak 3 story, if Daxter were ever to come into contact with dark eco again and/or gained dark powers he'd turn into a Dark Maker. Ergo, Dark Daxter being in TLF makes TLF non-cannon.

PSP and PS2. Though everyone is expecting the PS2 version to be nothing more then a port, meaning that it'll be worse then the PSP version.
