I hate Microsoft. I plugged my 360 to online to try and get a gamer profile recovered because a friend didn't have a working 360 and all. It asked to update and I was like "Maybe I shouldn't let it...". Now, I know I shouldn't have. The dashboard went from cool and easy to gaudy and a total eyesore. And now, come to find out, you can't turn it back to the old dashboard! What the heck is wrong with these dummkopfs?! It's such a slap in the face to have let the stupid thing do an update that can't be taken back because the cool got replaced with suck. To go back to the old one, I would have to get a completely new 360. -.- This is totally pathetic, yes?
(by the way, just needed to rant about it somewhere after taking so long to look for a solution that didn't involve buying a completely new system or grumbling about how I should have waited to get a PS3, especially considering Disgaea 3 is only on PS3 T.T)

Well... In my honest opinion... I agree. I really don't like Microsoft for pretty much anything. I buy Sony and Nintendo systems/games and I own a Mac. Pretty much everything not microsoft. Really the only thing that I have from them is their stupid Office programs and I hate those. I only use them for school.
Grant it, as a gamers I can't pass up opportunities to play the few good games that the Xbox has as exclusives. But I have no plans in ever actually owning an Xbox or Xbox games and I much prefer to play the Sony versions when the games are multiplatform.

Me personally I like the new layout for the dashboard, it just takes some getting used to is all. Honestly I was getting tired of the old layout, does the 360 offer skins for the dashboard? If so you should look into getting one that you prefer maybe they offter ol'skool dashboard layouts? Also I heard that they had their own version of a Mii lol

Though I do know that the PS3 is pretty customizable, allowing you to change the colors of the XMB, or switch out the XMB for an image and switchout the icons for something that'll match your image. Yes, and they not only ripped off Nintendo's Mii, they also ripped of Sony's Home. It actually rather pisses me off. Rather then create their own thing they go and rip of both of their competitors in attempts to keep up. |

It was their own thing until they played a ripoff works. Man, I enjoyed that dashboard, too. It make cool 'wooshy' noises when I switched tabs. Now it's set up to skip the dashboard and go straight to the game disc because it's such an annoyance.

O.o i would be so pissed off at Microsoft if i worked for Sony. I mean seriously. I'm so tired of retards telling me the xbox is better because it has Halo and Gears of War, and all the other crap which the ripped off of ps3 and wii. I tried to tell my friend that pretty much he said all belonged to Sony and Nintendo (except for Halo and Gears of War) and he freaked at me saying it was Sony who stole Microsoft's crap.
I was really mad at him. Then he went on about how PS3 online capability sucked and i laughed in his face. I told him it was the exact same thing as xbox's except free. He didn't have anything to say after that.
