I don't know if anyone has watched this anime but its definitely one to look into. DVM introduced me to it and I have to admit after getting past the first episode I have been slowly getting hooked. It has a very interesting concept.
So now I leave this thread open for anyone to talk about there favorite episodes, characters, and what not.
Personally I love the music in the anime. And my favorite character has to be Kuroganey (doubt I spelled that one right) especially since he has this guardian spirit (Kudon) that is a dragon (SWEET), and it turns into an awesomely huge sword (EVEN SWEETER)!!!!!!!

lol, I figured you'd like it. It's not the best anime that I've seen, but it is good, and the music is just simply awesome.
I'd have to say that Kurogane is my favorite character, he's just bad-ass, and he gets even better as the series goes on. Though Syaoran does have his moments when he's pretty cool.

*Sigh* I just wish they would have been able to keep their Kudon, that would have been great....but alas they didn't. Oh, well, I wonder what they'll get in the next world they visit.

Dude, that would have been epic. Kurogane and Syaoran were already beast with their Kudon, and they only had the powers for a few days. If they actually had time to hone their skills with Kudon in every world that they visit... Oh, I wouldn't want to be the poor fool standing in their way.

*grumbles* Well listen to the soundtrack as you read because Clamp's artwork is amazing! Also anime's leave out stuff that are in the manga's or add *shivers at the though* filler eps. .

But then you completely miss the music, which IMO is at least 10x better then the series itself. Yuki Kajiura is a music goddess. If you love that music, check out .hack//SIGN, Madlax, Noir, and Kara no Kyoukai. Games she's done include Xenosaga III and the cutscene music for episode II. Check it all out. She is awesome. Still, the anime takes a few too many liberties with the story when the second season comes around, including the last episode of the first season. To get the real grasp of the story and how it goes, it's best to read the manga. I have volumes 1-11 and the Character guide. ^^ I'm a big Clamp fan, too. I especially enjoy Cardcaptor Sakura, the series where Syaoran and Sakura come from. At least Tokyo Revelations was done by a different studio who was willing to do the violent stuff. Bee Train side-tracked the anime's story due to the violent nature of the later parts of the story. So, yeah, the music is great, but it hardly excuses you from reading the manga to get the story a lot better. By the way, I love the whole traveling group lol Fai, Kurogane, Syaoran, and Sakura are my favorites, of course. My favorite country has to be Oto, and I did find the artbook episode from the anime really funny (especially when the big sunflower Mokona is eating Kurogane XD).

Kajiura's work is just stunningly brilliant. I've seen .hack//Sign about three times, once for the story and twice for the music. ;D Though the other animes that you listed I haven't seen before so I didn't know that she did the music for them. Though one that you did miss that I've seen is Erementar Gerad. I've actually currently got 44 songs from her in my iTunes, three of which were a joint work between her and Itou Eri. ;D Well... Then if the music alone doesn't excuse me, how about the fact that I don't like to read Manga. Ironically enough I don't like to read. I read textbooks when I have to for class and I read posts here. Other then that I only read books and Manga on rare occasions. Wait... You listed all the main characters as your favorites. O.o Oto country was good, but you've got the be nuts to have enjoyed the storybook episode. I wanted to shoot myself by the time that episode was over.

I want to shoot whoever decided to name it Erementar Gerad/Gelade. Ahhh, I get it. Completely *wink* Yup. Because I don't like any of them more than the other. They all have their own cool points and build off each other too. The group isn't the same without one of them there and they aren't a favorite alone because of how the interactions make them so favorable. So yeah. Yes, I tolerated it. Even if it was filler, it was pretty entertaining: Kurogane eaten by sunflower Mokona, Fai's cool entrance as the science teacher every girl adores, Fai's sped-up talking to Syaoran, and Kurogane in a monster suit shouting "Gao!!" It was hilarious.
