A Gun, a Grudge, and a Past

Lev smiled and jumped into the car. He turned on the system and tested it out. It locked on automatically just as Zrion said. It was a perfect system flawless and probably more handy and useful than just for races.

"It also has a more advanced version of the extremely lethal peace maker. It fires a ball of electricity, just like it, but instead of making the target violently explode, it disables the car...and it gives the person in it a pretty nasty shock too, as a side effect. But it's not lethal."

"Well this looks great Zrion thank you." Lev said this of course. He pulled the keys out of his pocket and tossed them to Rev. "Come on lets go for a test drive. You come to Zrion it is your weapons system you should at least get a chance to ride in our new car you helped make."

Zrion nodded. With a wild grin, he jumped in as well. "If you try and blow my cruiser up though, I'll return the favor. In the form of a low yield tactical mini-nuke, courtesy of the Haven labs." He only said the last part half seriously.

Rev hit the gas and they zoomed through the streets. He was heading for a deserted area. Outside of Kras where no one ever went. It wasn't far from the junk lot where they got the car. It didn't take long to get there and as soon as he did Rev hit a switch activating the turbo. Lev checked the car's stability. Most of the car's power had switched to the turbo. So they wouldn't be able to use weapons unless they shifted down the speed of the turbo. Right now they had it pumped to max. Lev redistributed the power and returned the power settings back to normal. He activated the weapons system and cycled through the available weapons. "Hey Zrion now would be a good time to explain all the stuff you added."

"Well I've explained a couple already. The .50 caliber machine guns have a high rate of fire of 1000 rounds per minute, and are designed for armor penetration. They could go halfway through an engine block. There is also a flamethrower, effective up to 300 meters using a nitrogen propulsion system and napalm induced fire. It also has a cannon, which fires .105 shells. Those are high heat sabot rounds designed to be fired from gunships to destroy armor and for bombarding the ground from the air. Heat seeking rocket launchers as well."

Zrion looked uneasily at Lev. "I know that just about all of those are lethal, but I didn't have many ideas for non-lethal weaponry."

"I'll find a way to make it non-lethal. Rev i think Zrion here just made it really hard for us to restock on the ammo for this crap on the money we will ever earn. We may have to make our own non-lethal weapons and use them instead of real ammo."

"Well...I almost wouldn't offer...But as a KG special operations soldier...I make quite a lot of money. I could fund you two if you liked. I'm sure in the end you would manage to pay me back."

[leviathan]

"Nah, were fine. We've always managed by ourselves. We'll get money fast and plus we don't aim on winning by using weapons. Superior driving skills will get us by good enough. Plus using weapons and an accident happens would mean a death is possible. Lev wouldn't be able to handle it very well."

"Mhm, if you say so. By the way, you can override the automatic targeting system if it starts to glitch out or anything. Just press that blue button." He said pointing. "I thought to have the override because people have been known to hack other cars with onboard computers in the races."
