So I have an idea and wanted to see what all the good folks here at DE thought. Basically it would be if people who want to, pair up, and rp with each other with premade situations. Every few posts you can do an OOC and make comments on your partners rping. This is meant to be respectful but helpful, none of that "You suck at rping!". Of course I know none of you would do that! Also I may step in and make comments. This is just and idea to possibly pair up people new to the site with little rping experience with DE veterans and those who show more rping experience. This does not mean that the experienced can't learn from the inexperienced though. This is meant for all to grow in there rping ability. Help out each other during the rp by commenting on the others posts. Give each other tips and ideas and what not. All in all it's just an idea that I may work on. Wanted to see what you all thought and if y'all had any ideas to add to this, or even be interested in doing this.

Oh dear, it seems we have constructive progress happening here...
There is definitely a pretty large gap between some people, as far as Rp quality goes. This idea certainly has potential for helping newer Rpers to improve their writing skills, and just like you said, I think that even the veterans could learn a thing or two from this (I definitely have some bad writing habits I need to break).
I know that I for one like to think of things that could be changed as I'm reading a post. For example, I might look at one of my old Rp posts and think "Man, I used the word 'explosion' like 4 times in this paragraph, maybe I should switch out a couple of them later." Only problem is, I tend to just mentally discard it and totally forget what I was going to change, lol. However, if another person was able to read through my post and write down errors and inconsistencies as they read, then they could post it all at once and I'd have an easy way to keep track of the things I need to change. That said, you'll definitely find me 100% in favor of this idea.
tl;dr version: Good idea, I support it.
One question though: You mentioned pairs, so will other people that aren't involved in a particular Rp thread be able to make suggestions in that thread?

At the moment my plan to allow others to post in other threads there not in will be no. If we have a lot of people who want to jump in and post ideas then the thread may become cluttered very quickly. Therefore I say that only I or the staff will post, besides those in the rp. Now if anyone would like to leave critique they would be free to make an thread in the rp general to do it or send a pm. Very happy you like the idea, possibly a stroke of genius...or maybe not.

Like how I is teaching and learning from Darius? Like helping him round the site and that?
Which I need to reply to our prp XD
And that would really help out for me and darius, instead of me having to go and pm him and that XD.
I like this idea!

Yes in a sense of how you work with darius. But as you complete on rp then I will give you a new partner, giving a different rp style to work with since everyone has there own styles. This will also allow members to rp with other members they rarely get to directly get to rp with.

Okay I see now. Like we get a new feel for others role-play style. So like we all can teach and learn from one another? To explore our own style and continue to develop it with the help of others and so forth?

Ah so its kinda like a Thread Roulette ? Everyone who wanted to be a part of it would sign up in an unrelated thread (prob somewhere here in rp general?) and then mods would go through and pair up the participants for like this month. The threads would be pre-made by either a mod (npc account?) in PRPs. Maybe an announcement could go in the Updates and Announcements board showing the pairs for this month so everyone could find the appropriate thread.
Then all everyone would have to do is come up with a plot and era for the threads and you would be good to rp. Maybe the 'Roulettes' come up around the beginning of every month or so, giving a good amount of time for the RP's to be finished. Or you have to finish a plot in order to sign back into the Roulette.
Just running it through my brain lol : D I love this idea ! It will be nice to see people coming on and posting again o3o

It will be nice to see people coming on and posting again o3o Thread Roulette, I like that, couldn't think of a name for this. Thanks evey! Some great ideas in there. But at the moment the location the rps will take place will mostlikly be on the Geyser Rock board but the rps will be treated like prps. As for a location and time period, that won't really matter. I or another mod may give a setting or a time period but usually it will simply be a task to be fulfilled. Also I may step in or use the nov account and do things to keep you all on your feet. For example you may have something like "For DVM and Paladin89 : Mallock and Karras wake up in the bottom of the cargo hold in a sinking ship. They find they are connected by a strange device. (This device is unbreakable and also connects them in a way that if one dies the other will die, though the characters do not know any of this! They can find out though as they experience things. The devise will fall off when the characters escape from the ship.) The hold is filling with water fast. Escape the ship before it goes down. Beware, capsizing is always a threat! Good luck!" With that example I may use the npc to capsize the ship or something, you get the picture! It will keep enlisted members on there toes and get them to think on there feet! Keep throwin' out ideas guys! I'm adding things and editing things to the final plan as I go!
