Genesis took a quick dodge to the right, dodging the rounds fired off. That's when he stuck his tail in the sand and ran around this KG who didn't deem it fair to go man and beast alone. The dust was starting to kick up nice n' high, blocking Genesis with in his makeshift smokescreen.
"So, you don't like to play well with others I see. Mommy not pay enough attention to you so you decide to act out? Yet, just who do I owe the pleasure of this little showdown..."
Genesis made his voice seem like it was coming from everywhere and anywhere, but where could he be in all this dust being kicked up? That's when he made his move, Genesis made a leap at the guard from the left, in an attempt to tackle the human to the ground.

Zrion knew better than to rely on his vision in a fight like this, especially since the Metal Head was fast enough to anticipate his shots. So he braced his body to move in an instant, extending his senses and focusing intently on any sign of the Metal Head.
His sixth sense alerted him before his hearing did, and he immediately strafed backward, allowing Genesis to hurl past him, but once again disappearing into the sand.
Zrion fired a few shots in Genesis' general direction, for good measure, and took a few steps back, ensuring that a fair amount of distance was between the two. Zrion was no slouch when it came to close fighting, but Genesis didn't have ranged weapons, while Zrion had plenty. Keeping Genesis at a distance was the best option at this juncture.
"At least I had one." Zrion retorted. "You're all abominations, produced in factories for no other reason than to die at the beck and call of a leader that none of you are even smart enough to question. I should know, I've destroyed dozens of them."
He briefly took note of the weight of his rifle, the heft of it telling him that his magazine was still at least half full.

The dust was beginning to settle, silhouettes of the surroundings starting to form form the aftermath. When the dust finally settled back in, Genesis was nowhere to be found, as if he disappeared without a trace.
"How rude." Genesis started from the top of Topaz One. "I had a mother, knew her for at least a day before she left me."
Genesis was picking at his claws.
"But I suppose that may be true for the rest of them, but mainly true for this thing in here." Genesis spoke, curling his claws into a fist and knocking on the top of the roof.
"What is your name anyway? It's only polite to supply one's name to foe." Genesis looked down at the human, a grin on his face.
Genesis was feeling the power again, that forgotten power that he so unlocked. He was anticipating being shot again, but wasn't going to move from his perch just yet.
"Nice rifle by the way, get it from a history museum?"

"My name," he ground out, "is Commander James Zrion. I am the leader of the Echelon that has destroyed more of your kind than half the Krimzon Guard combined. Counting the Wasteland Campaign."
He scowled at the Metal Head. Gunpowder weapons might be old, but they were only 'obsolete' in the sense that the city didn't have enough resources to produce anything except eco for their weapons on a large scale.
"It might be old, but it's a hell of a lot better than those peashooters," Zrion said derisively, thumbing the infantry behind them that were cutting down Genesis' soldiers. "Not that it's helping your friends any." Zrion commented innocently.

Genesis shot his tail towards Zrion's gun, wrapping it around the upper body and latching the barrel to one of his barbs and pulled. Ripping the gun away from Zrion and examined it himself.
"I bet, although, red eco does leave one helluva scar, I tell you what." Genesis chuckled. "As for me, I am Metal Genesis, supposed 'god' for those idiots out there fighting for no apparent reason."
Genesis put the gun down, noticing the etching on it's left side. "No regrets huh?" He smiled standing on his hind legs and puffing his chest out.
"Got anymore weapons I may relieve you of soldier!" Genesis barked, but broke down in the laughing fit as he landed on his back on the roof of Topaz One. He seemed to be laughing like a maniac.

Zrion gritted his teeth. No one took his weapon from him. No one.
Without saying another word, Zrion extended both of his arms in front of his chest and cupped his hands. He took a deep breath, and warmth filled him as he began channeling eco into the hollow between his palms. It only took two seconds, but he amassed a sphere of energy that would shame any grenade with the strength of it's explosion.
With a roar, Zrion took a step forward, strengthening his stance as he launched the explosive sphere of yellow eco directly at Genesis. He wasn't worried about Topaz One - the thing had enough armor to withstand a shaped charge, so even an attack as powerful as his wouldn't be able to crack the armor on it without being more concentrated.
"How about one you can't take away, insect!" Zrion taunted.
As soon as the words left his mouth, he ripped two more weapons off his hip, his Desert Eagle and Special Operations Dagger. He held the pistol in his right hand, the dagger in his left, the steel blade glinting in the pale yellow light of his attack, and he spread his legs in a broad combat stance, holding the pistol in front of him, and the dagger tilted to the side, both ready to react to whatever Genesis could throw at him.

Genesis quickly scrambled to block the eco charge with his forelegs, the blast sent him reeling backwards. Atleast the Precursor Metal absorbed some of the damage, but not the force. Genesis landed with and audible, recovering from the force in a couching fir as he slowly got to his fours.
"Well, you're full of a bunch of surprises, ain't you, Zrion. If I didn't know any better, that must've been yellow eco." Genesis managed words between his coughs. "Stupidity of my followers have surprised me in the past, but you, Zrion, take the cake for the most intelligent surprise."
Genesis started to make his way around back again, to face his rival, the surprise he found was more than pleasant.
"Well... we're getting there, just gotta get rid of that pistol and knife. Damn crazy fool."

Zrion frowned, since it would be hidden behind his helmet anyway. He had never seen anyone shrug off an attack like that before, Metal Head or Human. He wasn't particularly experienced at using eco, but he knew the ropes, and he definitely knew enough that most anyone would have at least been disabled by an attack like that.
Genesis wasn't completely unharmed, though. Zrion could hear him coughing, which assured him that his attack had at least winded the beast. Although Zrion could not deny the power that eco offered him, he much preferred to use guns. Guns were familiar, had a reassuring weight to them, and ultimately, Zrion knew how they worked. But eco, despite his ability to use it, was still largely a mystery to him. Zrion preferred to stick to the things he knew.
But that didn't mean he couldn't compromise. Focusing his efforts, Zrion channeled eco again, down his right arm, this time of the red variety. Strangely though, the glow did not stop at his arm, but progressed beyond it to his pistol, imbuing it with a deep, red glow.
Aiming toward his best guess at Genesis' position, Zrion squeezed off a few shots, blood-red streaks of eco left in the wake of his bullets, which traveled far faster than Krimzon Guard blasters ever could.
"What was that you said about red eco leaving nasty scars?" Zrion asked rhetorically. "The speed of the bullets combined with red eco ensures they can cut through damn near anything. And that's just my pistol. Of course, I have more exciting party favors too. Depending on how long this fight lasts, you might see some of them."

"You're kidding, right? Your bullets don't have a snowball's chance in hell at piercing precursor metal.." Stopped, facing Zrion, "You missed also, terrible aiming while blind firing."
Genesis leapt into the air this time driving his towards the barrel of Zrion's gun. Not the best tactic in the world, but something he always wanted to try. He couldn't believe he was trying this dangerous move, he was better off trying to block with precursor rather than his own tail.
"Nice antique, did it come in a set? I didn't come here to fight, I came here to talk." Genesis was looking Zrion right in the eyes. "I'll even make you a deal."

Zrion immediately slid backward again, avoiding the Metal Head's attempt to disarm him yet again, and immediately firing a quick double-tap of red eco laced bullets, before quickly lashing out with his dagger, in an effort to keep Genesis from closing in again.
"You came to talk? Really?" Zrion chuckled humorlessly. "Yet your 300 strong peace envoy is firing at my men as we speak. Is this how Metal Heads shake hands?"
He shook his head. "In that case, pleased to meet you," he said sarcastically.
He tossed his dagger up into the air, before thrusting his arm at Genesis, unleashing another explosive orb of yellow eco. As soon as the sphere left his hand, he reached up and grabbed his dagger by the handle before it could fall.
"Sorry, I'm not familiar with insect culture. Was that the right acknowledgement?"
How long has it been...? Zrion wondered. Twenty minutes, maybe? Just over an hour to go.
